Deserves to be called Girls Place

I found out their site was in budget so I subscribed for their texts to get a discount. Then I ACTUALLY go and shop. Upon selecting the gender, I see there is only FIVE things available in the whole site, 2 being the same thing just different design. I have boys ages 5+. If there's better infant boy selections that does not even matter when the aged 2+ girls options are 14 pages long!! Change your name to Girl's Place because that's a way more obvious and fitting name!! At least then I could say "oh 👐 okay, not for us". Instead of thinking it was all inclusive.

Worst customer service and handling…

Worst customer service and handling shipment ever. I bought my son items for the start of the school year because of the hectic day to day handling an infant and a toddler I ordered all online to make sure that it gets delivered to my home. On top of it a payed extra $15 to expedite the shipment. When the parcel arrived to my surprise the items delivered to me was not even what I ordered. Instead of them telling me that the delivery company will pick it up and that my order will be shipped out ASAP. They gave me two options in order to receive the refund back. Either to drop it off to a children’s place location or Canada post. This made life extra hectic. To my surprise all the items that I had originally bought is not at an increased price tag than what I bought them for.

Lost Nana As A Customer for Life

Oh Children Place... I have 12 grandchildren I enjoy buying clothes for and have been going to Children's Place for over 10 years. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM THEM!!! We moved from our home to apartment and not all addresses were changed. I called after not getting a bill and had address changed, still no bills. So now they feel I'm responsible for late fees but they never changed the address in there system and plus switched me to paperless statements. So after 3 different calls of my valuable time and trying to get help they refuse to wave the late fee. I refuses to pay for there irresponsible employee not doing there job. So for the amount of $14.94 they have lost a heck of a lot more money by loosing me as a customer. In the end they chose to try and collect this fee ,yet lost my business of Hundreds of dollars by losing this Nana's business. I win, they lost a lot more.

Shipping dates are lies. CS is non existent.

Shipping dates are lies. Promised yesterday, but I finally logged in today and saw it was just picked up by the carrier. Also, they sent me over 35 emails in 4 days and NONE were related to my delayed purchase. I contacted customer service and received no reply. Would give zero stars if I could!

Missing Items!!

Let’s Start With Receiving Your Order & It’s Missing 6 Items!! Yet My Order States These Items Have Been Shipped & Of Course I’ve Been Charged For Them!! Oh & Although They Don’t Sell Lubricating Jelly Had A Whole Tube Of That Inside The Box!! Customer Service / The Managers Just Say “Sorry” Oh & My Missing Items Will Take 7-10 Business Days!! Uploads Picture & The Manager Asks Which Item Doesn’t Belong .. They Sure Know How To Make You Boil .. Ma’am The Lubricating Jelly!! Do You Sell That? Her Response No .. False advertising from this company!

False advertising from this company!! Shopped online at the children's place and what poor practices this company has! First of all, received an email from them where it states free shipping everyday, no minimum. But then when you try and shop it states you need $50 for free shipping. I was getting a gift for my niece and after several days they cancelled one of the items. Not a problem, however you need to spend $50 to get free shipping. They didn't send me a code for shipping or any discount as an apology just cancelled the item. Now I can't even go on and reorder in a different size because I am not spending another $50. And I needed this item to complete the rest of what I bought. So now I don't want any of it so I'll need to go out of my way to the store and return it all once it ships to me! Hopefully I can now find something else at a different store that will ship in time for my niece's birthday! Thanks for nothing children's place!!

Ridiculous return policy

I purchased Girls Skinny Jeans 4-Pack
Item #: 00196733965560 online. My granddaughter pulled the tag off and wore one pair. She ended up telling me they're too tight. I read the policy; no worn clothes can be returned. I took back the 3 unworn jeans and was told I could not return them unless I returned all 4, therefore I couldn't return them because 1 pair was worn. I'm stuck with $50 worth of jeans because of this asinine policy that benefits the corporation and doesn't care about the customer. Especially in these economic times, I would advise patents to be more careful & mindful of where they spend their hard earned money. I will never purchase from this store again.

I'm holding them to the arriving date they claim my order will be arriving, which is 2 days, but it's still processing.. hmm

I'm giving it only 2 stars because this is the first time I've ordered online. I usually go in the store. I ordered a few things for my son Wed night, thinking they would be shipped Thursday, Friday at the latest. Well, this thing is still saying it's being processed, it's been 4 dang days, but the weird thing is that it says it's arriving on August 20, which is Tuesday. I ordered some things from Carter's at the exact same time I ordered from here and Carter's is being delivered Tuesday, August 20. So, The Children's Place should be delivered that day as well, at least you would think, and it says it's arriving that day, but why didn't I get a email saying it was shipped and why does it still say it's processing? I'll add a screenshot below with it circled so you all can see. Also, I've emailed them trying to find out some info twice, but haven't been responded to and just found out today that they can't even be contacted on weekends, I can't believe that. The store itself is even open on weekends. Anyway, I need this order quickly and there's no reason whatsoever that nothing at all has been done other than them taking my money. Quick edit: I couldn't add a screenshot.. sorry 😔

Horrible Service

I placed an order and it was sent to an incorrect address, which is an office complex. Instead of correcting my address and re-shipping it to me, they offered a $20 rewards. In order to get this reward I have to purchase more items, not just the item that is list. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I guess for your company THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG!!!!!!! Last time I will do business with Children's Place. Only reason I did not place the order with Amazon is that is the item was not available so it would not arrive on time.

No staff or No class

I reached out for customer support twice l —- no one ever responded to me. I have two case numbers for follow up to my inquiries but apparently they are so understaffed or so unconcerned they do not bother to follow up (Case CU-1244828 and Case CU-1240740).
I needed to return one of the shirts for a different color and the hoops you have to jump through for an online return are seriously not worth the quality of what shows up in the box. One of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had in a very long time. They should be shut down. 7/21, 7/24 and 7/27 were the dates of my experiences attempting to get in touch with someone and exchange/return the shirt.

Unauthorized Charges for NO reason

I placed an order online for $55.29. I woke up today to see an additional charge for $55.45 pending on my card. When I called I was told online orders always have 2 charges: an authorization charge and the actual charge.

I've ordered online many times with them and this has never happened. Not only that, but this is not a type of transaction that would require an authorization charge. The price was not going to change from the day I ordered it from the day it shipped. Usually authorization charges happen at the gas station, for for delivery or when there is a tip involved. That makes sense because the tip amount can change .

I've never bought clothes from a company that feels the need to hold extra money just because they feel like it .

So now I have 2 charges on my credit card for 2 amounts and they are telling me it takes a week to clear. I asked them what would happen if I didn't have the available credit or used a debit card instead, and they didn't have an answer.

They refused to do anything to rectify the situation. I asked for a manager which they also refused. I asked for a gift card and they said $10 would be automatically applied to my account. I wish it would have just been sent as a gift card in separate email because I don't see it credited yet.

I've ordered most of my kids Easter clothes and other clothes earlier this year with no issue. I'm not sure why they started doing these holds but they shouldn't. If I place an online order for a certain amount, that is the amount I would see debited from my account. I should not have to deal with duplicate charges when the money is already guaranteed otherwise why would you allow the order to go through is the card did not have the money available in the first place. I will not be ordering online with them again until they rectify this. I'm not going to pay twice for a single order! Absurd and inconvenient in this economy where every single dollar counts. Waiting a week to get my own money back is absolutely absurd and the fact they don't offer anything more than an sorry is incredibly poor service. They don't deserve your business even with their never ending sales...

Do not shop here !!!!

This is 2024 and apparently they are living in the 1800's with their policies!

I received items for daughters birthdays and they were the wrong size but the person never gave me a gift receipt so I went to the store for store credit to exchange the sizes. All items were tagged and new. They refused to exchange my items because I didn't have a receipt. They had the audacity to ask me to contact the people. How embarrassing is that!!! Told me there was nothing they can do to help me. When I contacted corporate their solution to help me was to give me a 30% off coupon on my next purchase just so I can SPEND MORE MONEY in their crappy business.

Another time I had an issue where I was away and my ship to store order was delivered with NO EMAIL COMMUNICATION TELLING ME IT ARRIVED. The only email I got was when I was away and it told me they will cancel it by the next business day! So I sent my aunt to the store to pick it up and they refused to give it to her because she was not authorized to get it. Meanwhile she had the email and a picture of my photo ID. She begged them and they threatened to call the police on an elderly woman trying to do me a favor!!!

Every time I step foot in any location for this business I could hear a pin drop. That's how empty it is. This is ought to tell you something about this place. Do yourself a favor and shop anywhere but here. It's not worth the stress or hassle of any discount or crappy clothing they sell

Incorrect Shipping Address Unresolved

Put in a P.O. Box for shipping address, as I was unaware they used FedEx to ship. FedEx will not deliver to P.O. Box. Their customer service refused to put in an address change with street address. I will be challenging this charge with my credit card company, as they refused to put in a refund. Their customer service is abysmal. Will never order from them again.

I spent $65 at the Children's Place

I spent $65 at the Children's Place. The order came in two deliveries, one containing an item for $4.99 and the rest in a separate order: that's an order for just over $60. I was told that I had to take my items for return to a brick-and-mortar store, which I did do, but the computer at the store would accept only the $4.99 return, nothing else. I was told I had to contact The Children's Place customer service. After 30 minutes in the store, I called customer service. They insisted I would have to pay for the shipping return of the items. That call lasted 20 minutes, but I finally got them to give me a "one-time curtesy" pre-paid return. I've added one star for the "one-time curtesy," but I'm quite disappointed in this company. I didn't want to have to travel to the store to do the return, but I did it. I upheld my end of the bargain there, but I was quite disappointed that I had to fight to get them not to ask me to spend more of my money to do the return when the problem was on their end and not mine.

System automatically cancels orders

Do not shop there! I tried to place an order for back to school items today and their automatic system just canceled it. The first time around it was supposedly because of an old billing address (this has not been an issue with orders elsewhere, but ok). So then I went ahead and ordered everything again, just for this order to be canceled again, this time for absolutely no reason! The CS agents don't have this information either and they advised me to try a different browser, their app and/or a different payment method. That is AFTER I already wasted hours of my life choosing items, talking to their hotline (only in the Philippines, no local US representatives at all), adding the items again to reorder, talking to them again. I truly can't understand why they won't fulfill, this seems counterintuitive for a company trying to sell clothes! I wish it was an issue of not enough funds on my card or something but no, there's just no reason at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

fraudulent company that charges your credit card different transaction amount than what you see in your cart and script reading useless phone agents for a fraudulent and scam ridden website. this company deserves to go bankrupt.

Update to 5 star review

This is more of an update to 5 star review I left recently. Have ordered a few times over the years. Overall good. But my last order qualified for free shipping at the $20 mark which is excellent and then I went back to place another order and they changed it to a $40 min no explanation upon asking customer service and I will say in general their customer service is slow and lacking attention to detail. Just a general answer not really an answer to a specific question is not useful. I don't like their flip flop policies but I do like their clothes and sales.
