I have used Nice and Easy for grey coverage for years. The new packaging and product is a con. I bought it thinking it was the same product, but when I tried to mix the colour with the activator, it would not mix however hard I tried. It was a waste of time. I did not trust it to continue. I had bought two boxes and threw it all in the bin. I am now looking for another brand.

For the last 10 years Nice n Easy has been just that - but not anymore, it should be renamed Tricky & Blotchy. I purchased 3 boxes and found the liquid has been changed to a thick cream which doesn't cover the hair as evenly as the liquid did, so the finished result was inconsistent all over. Can't see the advantage in this Clairol & have just stuck the other 2 in the bin.

I used the clairol medium brown with 100% grey coverage 2 boxes as I have long hair , and only my roots are grey it's ruined my hair half is ginger and it hasn't touched the other half , I've now got to go to my grandsons christmas plays with a hat on when I struggle to go out at the best of times. Really disappointed and don't recommend at all

I used clairol nice and easy 3 tones and highlights, medium brown. I was a bit sceptical at first because I’m having a bad experience with other products not covering my greys. I found it easy to use and wash out. I left in slightly longer to ensure grey coverage by 5 minutes. Tone ever so slightly darker than the box but not too far from my natural colour and likely because I left in slightly longer. Hair nice and soft and doesn’t feel damaged. Doesn’t smell of lingering dye either.

Overall very pleased so far. Will edit if I have any issues.

Im buy the black colour but is purple very bad product!!!

Worst thing ever/ why change a perfectly great product - This product is so runny and doest cover at all well like the older version!! Grey hair still showing and washed away after couple of washes !! My hair felt really not great after using it , felt brittle and not soft . The mixture was so runny it was running down my face -it lacks everything what the older version had . Shocked this is even on the market. I am very disappointed. it’s completely different to the older version . Did they even test or ask customers about this new replacement. !Bring back older version please - I won’t be using this product again!

I have been using Nice & Easy Zero Ammonia Semi-Permanent hair colour for well over 10 years without any issues. It always delivered great results and lasted really well.

Recently, I noticed the shelves were stocked with a "new formula" in updated packaging. It promised the same results but with just 20 minutes (instead of 10) of application time. I felt hopeful, but unfortunately, that optimism was misplaced.

This new version is terrible. It doesn’t last anywhere near the claimed 28 washes. In fact, it starts fading after just a couple of washes...and I don’t even wash my hair daily! Worse still, it no longer covers greys effectively. I have no idea why they changed the formula.

I even contacted the company, and they insisted it was an improvement. But based on my experience, and judging by the reviews on here, it clearly isn’t. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it!

Ive always used light ash blonde..this product has changed somehow it's not as nice a colour..I noticed your adverts are showing a model with very curly African hair as well as white models..no hair care products will work for both so what have you changed to the product to make this claim

I used dark brown hair dye shade on my dark blonde dyed hair and my hair is now part brown and mostly jet black. It looks so horrible like a 3 year old has got to my hair with black and brown paint

Have used the ammonia free nice and easy medium brown dye for years and years and it was wonderful and my hair felt soft and silky. Not sure what they have done to the product or why?!?! My hair now feels course and dry and lifeless. They have definitely changed the ingredients and I am now having to try different brands. Why have you changed it Clairol???

Used for 8+ years the semi permanent colour and it was brilliant my hair was in great condition. They have decided to change it recently, hair feels awful, dry, breakage, colour isn’t the same, so disappointed.

I,ve been using Clairol products for a long time .
I purchased a Root touch up in Dark golden brown .
The first thing that made me wonder if the colour was correct was the blue black colour that it was turning once on my hair ,nothing golden brown about my hair it is definitely more black than it should ,thankfully I streaked the remainder of my hair with the ROOT touch up so it doesn’t look so different from the rest of my hair but very dissatisfied.

I attempted to tame my mane with the zero ammonia (Colorstrong) CLAIROL Blue-Black Desert Nights dye, but my hair is shedding like crazy, my skin is stained everywhere, and I resemble a walking canvas of blue splatters - it's like I went a few rounds with a giant, feathered fighter. Two weeks post-coloring, I rinsed my hair and, lo and behold, the blue dye is still making a break for it, leaving a trail of destruction in the tub and on my bathroom floors. Can someone please put the kibosh on this product - they're being a tad dishonest about the ingredients, if you ask me!! *I couldn’t even remove the stains on my bathroom sink and in my tub with bleach, that’s how bad this product is!!

DO NOT BUY CLAIROL'S NICE N EASY AMMONIA-FREE DYE!! Followed the instructions to the letter (I've been dying my hair for over 20 years, so this isnt my first rodeo). I think they've recently released their ammonia-free dye because this was the first time I used it and it is also THE ABSOLUTE LAST. I left the dye in for 10 mins whilst I was writing some emails but could feel liquid running down my cheek. You can go to my X account (ida_neda) for the photos of what it did to my skin. The stains were still prominent 3 days later and one new hair wash later. It's an abysmally bad product and I cannot believe it's been allowed onto the market.

Iv been using this product for years, absolutely fantastic. The new version is terrible. Left my hair tacky and sticky,too dark. I'm on the 5th shampoo and hoping my hair feels normal again. I certainly won't be buying again. Why change this product for the worst iv ever used.

I have been using casting light brown no ammonia hair colour for years and it’s always look fab even my hairdresser commented on the colour! This new formula is so much darker it’s ridiculous. It’s not a light brown but a dark one! Don’t like the formula it’s itchy and although it’s natural not good on the skin. Why oh why have u changed the formulas??? Won’t be buying again will try another brand like most of the folks on here who are all unhappy with your changes to the products. Why can’t you just leave things alone that sell!!

I've used the original nice n easy semi permanent dark ash blond no 90 for the last 10 years applying to my roots and brushing through the rest of my hair every 3/4 weeks. The result has always been brilliant with many compliments. The new tone and gloss semi permanent product no longer does my colour so I decided to try the medium ash blond. The result is appalling. The product was horrible to use, very runny and difficult wash out. The colour is awful. It left my hair feeling dry and clumpy. Give us loyal customers back the product and colour we've loved for so long.

I loved the light auburn colour last time but after the dying it with the same colour (or so I thought) the colour is completely different, no longer the light ginger colour but now a darker purply red. :(

I have used Clairol semi permanent hair colour for years. No problem, until recently when the formula has obviously been changed. My hair, despite thorough rinsing, was left tacky and gluey. I had to rewash it with a gentle shampoo to get rid of the gluey result. I will not be buying this again !! Sooo disappointed.

Just used the no bleach platinum 'lifts 5 shades' and what a joke. I have pastel pink and my roots were brassy, I wanted to just lift the roots. Didn't even do that for all the burning it did, it didn't lift ONE shade lighter, never mind 5. You shouldn't be allowed to sell it. False advertisement! Damaged my hair with your crap for NOTHING!
