Clockwork Removals and Storage - South London Reviews 

We moved house with Clockwork removals in December. It was a experience of two wildly contrasting parts. Firstly Piotr and his team were fantastic on the day, efficient, professional, clean, friendly, didn't leave a mark, assembled everything perfectly and even finished ahead of time. They are great. Unfortunately we then had part two, which involved dealing with the office manager at the Merton branch, who was one of the least professional, discourteous, bizarrely rude people I've ever come across as a customer - to the degree where you just literally had to laugh at how bad the service was. We unfortunately had a high value item go missing during the move. Stuff happens sometimes. We still don't know how. We called Clockwork to ask if it had turned up or been spotted by anyone. Sadly the office manager was instantly hostile and defensive, talking about how it's our own liability, nothing to do with them, never mind we were simply asking if anyone had seen anything. She was so strange that for the first time i began to think, hang on, maybe I'm wrong and there is actually something dubious going on with this company. Advice to Clockwork: this person should not be allowed to deal with the public. I have since heard I'm not alone in having this experience. So a weird one overall. I would obviously never use this company again having had to deal with the Merton branch office manager, and would advise extreme caution to others, there are plenty of other places who will at least be polite. But the movers themselves were exceptional and really nice people. A great shame they're not matched by this terrible administrator.

Piotr and the team were exceptional. They worked tirelessly. They were very helpful, good with neighbours, very accommodating, even changing plans which would have inconvenienced them and resulted in a late Friday night so that our belongings didn't get wet in the pouring rain. They went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

The Clockwork team did a fantastic job. We used the team for packing and they did this very quickly and well. They were also very helpful, listening to our requirements and helped to make what could be a stressful experience run smoothly. if you are moving house - we highly recommend this team.

Unfortunately, whilst the team was friendly and tried their best, they were not provided with the right equipment for the move. They didn’t have sufficient floor covers to protect flooring and carpets from a rainy day move and hence floors were dirtied. In addition, they did not have electric screwdrivers, only manuals ones, which meant that disassembly and assembly of the beds were more difficult then anticipated. There was a dent in the wall during the sofa move which the company offered to patch only through painting and not filling. The team had to move our skip to make way for the piano move (unexpected) along the driveway which left scratches. As a result, we have to compensate our landlords of £1000 at our own expense.

Used for both mine and my parents house move and had a great experience. Hollie in the office made sure everything was taken care of to a very high standard, brilliant customer service and had all the answers for any questions. On the day was very promt and efficient. Removal lads made me feel very safe and at ease… being a single woman this was very important to me. Everything arrived on time and in the exact same condition. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Everything ran to time but more importantly Peter and his team of porters made our life so much easier - they were professional, helpful and friendly. We have an awkward shaped house with lots of stairs - they navigated seemingly effortlessly and nothing was too much trouble. I have no hesitation is recommending Clockwork Removals.

Kudos to the team at Clockwork. From the video survey for the quote, which was quick and efficient and knowledgeable about protecting our property and offered suggestions to accommodate the tricky access to the new property, to the moving day which went quite smoothly despite the rain. We would definitely recommend Clockwork.

A great service all round from the Clockwork team. We had a party 2 days before moving out and no-one could believe we were actually moving, as we had sorted but packed hardly anything! After half a day of Nathan and Jake’s packing, everything was ready to move into storage the following day. On the second day everything was carefully loaded into containers (we were going into storage) and our piano was even delivered to a friend’s on the way. Office staff friendly and professional too. Would recommend.

The booking experience was straightforward. The price for the move was reasonable compared with other companies but then again, I hadn't moved for over 20 years, so no expert on prices.

The boxes were delivered on time for me to do my own packing. There was a little hiccup as no one was home and the delivery person had to patiently wait. I really appreciated they waited for some time.

On the day of the move, someone had parked outside my property despite leaving signs, but the porters were accommodating and agree to carry the boxes a bit further.
Lewis and Jake were very efficient and quick. A full truck loaded in less than 2 hours!

The boxes were delivered quickly and also, very professionally. No breakages at all. I had a lot of glass items, and everything arrived intact.

Post move - very good comms, boxes were collected at a day agreed without fuss.

I hope not to move in the future, ever. It's very stressful and I had been very upset overthinking about the actual moving day with the porters handling my property and how it would go. I shouldn't have worried as they were very professional. But I would chose Clockwork Removals again if I were to move houses again. And I recommend them without hesitation.

Great Team, turned up on time and did a really smooth and professional job.
They were particularly careful with the old things and the fragile items, taking very good care of their packing and protection.
The delivery to the destination was also done carefully and enthusiastically, ensuring each item was placed in its correct place.

A very good experience and an example of how to take the stress out of the moving Home process. Five stars seams inadequate reward for their work, ten would have been more appropriate.

The packing team were fantastic, careful and proactive. They worked exceptionally hard to get everything packed. The moving team were friendly, helpful and totally focussed on making our move as stress free as possible. They worked so hard and not one item was damaged. The only damage that occurred was down to me dropping something! We have moved lots in recent years and would highly recommend Clockwork Removals as the mover of choice.

Men showed up on time. I was allocated 3 hours for the removal but they ended up staying for 5 to get the job done. At the other end, absolutely nothing was broken and I also appreciated them taking two items to my sister's new home in Inverness. Flat boxes also removed promptly. Lady in the office (Kylie) also very helpful and efficient. Highly recommended.

Video call consultation to arrange quote super easy and hassle free. Packer very efficient, friendly and thorough. Moving team super friendly, flexible and efficient - nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

The quoting and booking process was very efficient. The team on the day (shout out to Mike, Adam and Matty) were so brilliant. Positive, fast, careful and really supportive on a stressful day (a divorce situation). They didn't even stop for lunch between the two houses.

Tip - if you can unpack as quickly as possible in the new house, while they are bringing in the other boxes, they'll take away all the ones you manage to unpack which reduces what you need to store for them to pick up later.

Office move last week went very smoothly, team was very efficient and took care of our items in transit well, clearly very professional and experienced team who know what they are doing. Would use again!

Excellent service firstly by the Sales Surveyor that called to view what had to be packed, the excellent service I received from the office team and finally by the person who came to pack the goods. I simply could not have asked for a more professional, friendly. and customer focused service.

Clockwork removals are fantastic! The video consultation was great and the quote was mid-range price wise. We chose the company based on the great reviews. On the moving day the men were very friendly and arrived early. They worked tirelessly and were very very efficient! The whole process was effortless and they took great care of the belongings. Shambolic Move

I guess the signs were already there when a month before I was due to move, a gentleman from Clockwork came to my house to furnish me with boxes so I can pack my house. I had of course paid for a full removal service including packing, moving, and unpacking. How I wish I could turn back the clock and take the boxes and carry out the move myself or better still not use Clockwork at all!
To be fair, some positive feedback, when it came to the packing of my house, that was excellent. But as good as that was; the moving and unpacking was sloppy, slow, and resulted in damaged furniture (double wardrobe and children’s bookshelf broken beyond repair while the leg on our sofa was also chipped). All of this was additional unnecessary costs if the team had taken more care with our belongings!

Hot Tip - Don't push a wardrobe, lift it! Obviously doing the former increases your chances of it getting broken. And when it does break, don't play innocent and childishly say "I don't know how that happened, it just broke"

Having made a complaint about this awful experience, I was offered £50 (having spent nearly £2,000 to get my belongings moved).

All in all a miserable experience costing me thousands of pounds.

The team, from initial quote inspection from Guy, comms with Kylie & Hollie, packing from Gary and then removal day with Michael and Conrad were great. Everyone was personable and happy to meet any specific asks. Michael and Conrad even helped taking a sofa a few doors down to a neighbour. Everybody on time and just got on with the task at hand. Highly recommended.
