Super easy
I wanted a collection where I could withdraw the money to buy a gift of my choosing and this fit the bill - the money was with me within an hour! I was also able to download a pdf of everyone's comments so I could send that, although there was an option to get a card made too. It was a great experience, so easy.

Fees left right and centre. No options for e gift cards. Used it to organise teacher Xmas presents but would not do again.

A bit misleading
It was useful but I found it very misleading with the requests to add extra in respect of fees which didn’t exist (asked to donate addition £3 in admin fee but actually the admin fee was only 41p) They also deducted funds when I transferred the money to a bank account which I had to ask for back. They did return it immediately though.

Delayed Verification, delayed bank transfer and non-existent Customer Support
They took more than 24 hours to verify my account, which meant I could only transfer the money to my bank account two days after the collection pot had closed (the deadline I was given to buy a voucher for a colleague). When I finally made the transfer, it took a full day for the money to reach my bank account, forcing me to use my own money to buy the voucher, as it was my colleague’s last day in the office.
Throughout all of this, the chatbot stopped responding, even when I asked to speak to a human. I also tried reaching out to customer service by email, but I was ignored.
Really awful service. I was just lucky to have enough savings to cover the voucher in advance.

What is Collection Pot doing to justify taking your gift?
My wife set up a collection pot for my birthday gift without my knowledge . My friends and family very generously contributed to it, for which I was very grateful.
I wanted to express my gratitude so therefore sent a thank you message through the platform and also made a thank you video which I uploaded. Despite this, they both disappeared into the ether and were never sent on to the pot contributors. It took several days until I realised this so I did it again. This time, the thank you message was sent but the video, although uploaded, does not play.
All of this took time and effort but it seemed for nothing. I contacted Collection Pot through their online chat function . There’s never an answer and nobody replies. I therefore decided to email them. A couple of days later, I get a reply that shows the person hasn’t bothered to read my email and has given unhelpful generic advice.
And of course, for all of this they are taking a chunk of your gift. What do they offer for this commission? A clunky poorly functioning platform with no support.
