The certification process and timing varies with each school which can cause the process to take longer than expected. College Ave provided a competitive interest rate, a relatively easy application process, and the approval process was fast. I am disappointed that interest accrues while the student is still in school. The choices are to start paying the loan now, pay the interest, make a flat payment or defer the payment and let the interest increase the total loan amount.
