Trying to get a refund

As Converse recommend when unsure of sizing: I ordered 4 pairs of boots online as I have 'difficult' feet and needed exact size before ordering Custom boots. There are a lot of variations in style and sizing options. They say full refund guaranteed when you return. Which I did next day.
But its a serious (long term) hassle getting your money back.
There is no Customer Service on website. Not a single email from Converse accepting return or giving details of repayment. After long search, found a number and had two 'chats' with nice agents, trying to do their job but full of excuses, I have HALF my money back. Still waiting for the rest.
They tried to suggest it was Paypal holding things up ...... but that's not the case. Paypal have now issued an official 'dispute'.
Am really fed up.
Unlikely to place another order.

Money was taken from my account but no shoes or confirmation

I tried to order some shoes. Money was taken from my account but I never received any confirmation or any success message. The shoes were still in the basket on the site.

Customer support was completely unhelpful telling me I needed to show them some receipt or order id which I never received from them. It was impossible to give them this info. They refused to help me further unless I showed them an order id.

They currently still have my money hostage and I have no shoes.

I wish I’d read the reviews first…

I wish I’d read the reviews first before purchasing my new converse.

I have waited about over a week for them to be delivered and still no look, it is disgraceful at how long it has taken.

I will not be ordering direct from converse website ever again. I am only ordering a new pair due to my last pair falling apart within less than 3 months. A lot to be concerned about with this company. I think in future I’ll buy Vans instead.

Lack transparency on delivery times to Northern Ireland after taking extortionate postage fee of £15!

AVOID this site if you need to cancel or change your order. I ordered a pair of high tops for my daughter for going away on holiday in 10 days time. Because I live in Northern Ireland I know since brexit to check and double check delivery policies and charges etc. It continually said on their website that they deliver here fine but I could find no information on time or fees. The website continually popped up with a “FREE delivery” qualification banner. So I proceeded with the order. I decided with lack of information to put the sale through Paypal.. then after I went through that process the fee of £15 was added for delivery to NI. Okay. I let that slide, my 9 year old daughter really wants those lovely pink high tops for our holiday. But when I got confirmation of the sale success it then said 7-9 working days for deliver!!!??? That was the first time that was ever mentioned. I phoned them 22 minutes later at 8am when their lines open, was on hold for several minutes and bear in mind on the website the status is still saying ‘processing’ on my order. They said it was too late to cancel. I had already explained that I do not have nice neighbours who can accept the parcel and they have previously stolen deliveries if left at the front door etc. So they’re only help was to arrange it with the courier when I receive tracking information(which may well be while we are away on holiday in Europe). I think that I should be able to cancel an order if placed less than 30minutes earlier and it would have been sooner only your lines didn’t open until 8am!! And especially if you are not clear about this information on your website. And while I’m at, what an absolute rip off £15 to Northern Ireland for a pair of kids boots!! Ridiculous service. I should not have to chase after a delivery company because you are not transparent on your delivery times!!!

Please avoid this site completely

Please avoid this site completely. I had an issue with them back in 2022 and decided to order something again. UPS claims they delivered it but they ended up only leaving 1 box at my front door. I tried talking to customer service about it. I got the rudest person ever.( Raj S) He kept mentioning the missing order from 2 years ago accusing me of not receiving my order then. And now claiming the same. Maybe they should start using new carriers. It's ridiculous you have an issue and instead of helping out like they're suppose to they start being rude and arguing. Honestly i'm just going to take this up with my bank instead and not shop on their website again this is just ridiculous. Don't work in customer service if you don't want to deal with customers it's just that simple.

Faulty and no help

Bought a custom pair for my wedding. Wore them once and the glue has seeped onto the white. Customer service have offered a refund which in total after sending back and review could take a month. I can then repurchase when they are now more expensive. I flagged this to cusstomer service but they said theres nothing they can do. So because I've been given a faulty pair I'm now expected to spend more money for the replacement. And wait over a month for the pleasure. So disappointed.

Converse Ordering and customer service is horrible.

I have had the worse experience with Converse. My first order never shipped. The second order was short a pair of shoes, the manager acted like it was my fault and he lied about what I was seeing on my screen regarding their portal regarding the shipping. Confused I ordered again and ordered the wrong size for my granddaughter thinking it was the oldest shoes that did not come. At this point I am done with this company. #grandma just trying to buy grand children shoes.

Awful customer service

Goods arrived quickly, but sent one item back two weeks ago and not even an acknowledgement they have received them. Not responded to email asking for confirmation either. Surely, this should be done as a matter of course. I ordered direct as they had a better stock than other online retailers, but in future won't bother. UPDATE 1 August, now told refund processed could take 14 days. NEVER EVER will order again

Refunds take forever

Converse item delivered to me on 27th June, returned on 28th June. Delivered back to them on 2nd July. I had to email on the 12th querying where my refund was, they said they can see it's delivered back to their GERMANY warehouse but not scanned so she's manually done my refund but it can take a further 8 working days?! Anyway only the 5th working day today and still no refund yet. The worst refund process for any company I've ever purchased from. Won't be ordering again.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Keep saying my order is with the courier when it clearly isn’t. Still not delivered and not sure whether they are still with converse or the courier. Have worn converse for absolutely years and am wondering what the quality will be like now after seeing all these poor reviews as have noticed a steady decline in quality over the years.

Zero- that’s how many starts they deserve

Zero- that’s how many starts they deserve. A supervisor Tash is highly incompetent and rude. She should not work in customer service. The manufacturer warranty on the shoes is a joke, the only option they give you is a voucher to the converse website and they don’t care that the shoes are not and haven’t been available there for years so it’s completely useless. They also make you destroy the shoes and you need to send a proof of that- just creating more and more waste in this planet.

Non water-proof Converse

I was given a pair of Converse High Tops for my birthday last year. My partner had paid a lot more for them than he usually would as they were supposed to be the new waterproof kind. They were water proof on the first two occassions I wore them, but on the third occassion water leaked in from the toes and soaked my feet. Please do not buy if you need a waterproof shoe. I can now only wear them in dry weather, which in England means I hardly ever wear them now. A complete waste of money.

Ordered from Converse website

Ordered from Converse website. What has happened to the quality? Last time I purchased standard low top shoes (have been wearing since I was 16, I’m now a lot older than that) had a decent canvas lining. Now have some horrible synthetic interior. Only keeping because they were seriously reduced in the sale but will have to (reluctantly) avoid converse from now on 🙁

Sent the complete wrong pair of…

Sent the complete wrong pair of trainers. Returns process take far too long. Had to call to chase up where my refund was. Had to nearly argue with the call handler as their return information on their website contradicted what they were telling me on the phone.

Returns

I sent out an email late last night about a pair of shoes that I returned almost a month ago not being processed. Luckily for me, I kept my Evri return receipt which makes it a lot easier to track the parcel but I was surprised to receive a response the very next morning! I received a prompt apology and refund, which I am very pleased about, I just wish I had sent out an email about it sooner.

Refund not processed when returning multiple orders in single parcel

I needed to return a massively oversized t-shirt and a similary oversized hoodie, bought on separate orders. (Despite my being a large, it turned out I needed a small!)

(Since Converse refuse to do exchanges, you have to return and re-order for a different size, which itself creates all sorts of problems if you have benefited from sale prices or volume promotions on the original order that you can no longer use.)

The t-shirt was originally delivered in a massive box with several shoes, so, for good environmental reasons, I returned the t-shirt in the same plastic bag as the hoodie, ensuring I enclosed both returns notes and noting that the weight stated on the parcel label was more than enough to cover both items.

The upshot is that neither item was refunded, because Converse cannot, they claim, handle multiple order returns in a single parcel. They insist that each order is returned separately, with all the wasted processing, packaging and effort that involves.

Both items have now been refunded "as a goodwill gesture", which is a bit of a kick in the teeth when it's a legal obligation to refund, not goodwill.
