We used Convey Law for both the sale of our previous property and the purchase of our new home, and the service from start to finish was exceptional.
Alex Harris handled our case, and his professionalism, clarity, and attention to detail made a huge difference throughout the entire process. Managing both a sale and a purchase can be complicated, but Alex kept everything on track, communicated clearly at every stage, and ensured we always understood what was happening and why. His calm, thorough approach gave us real confidence during the more stressful moments.
A special mention also goes to Imogen Moss, Alex’s assistant, who was brilliant throughout. She made sure all documents, checks, and follow‑ups were completed promptly and efficiently. Her organisation and responsiveness kept everything moving smoothly behind the scenes, and we really appreciated her support.
Together, Alex and Imogen delivered a seamless, professional, and genuinely reassuring experience. We’re extremely grateful for their hard work and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and proactive conveyancing team.

We used Sophie Carey at Convey law to do the conveyancing on our previously rental house.
We found them to be very efficient. The process took about 2½ months from instruction to completion.
Even though they weren't a local solicitor we could visit that was no obstacle. They were always at the end of the phone and replied promptly to our emails.
Overall very happy with them.

Honestly, very happy. It's a new concept to use the services of a remote surveyor but they did the job wonderfully. In particular I would like to reccommend Emma Carter who was the solicitor working with my case.

From start to finish, I can’t recommend Convey Law enough. They were quick, efficient, and I never waited more than 48 hours for a reply. The service overall was excellent, but I was particularly impressed by Emma Carter’s professionalism. She is an outstanding conveyancer, and I would highly recommend requesting her services if you need someone to guide you through the often frustrating process of buying or selling a house.

Convey Law did a fantastic job when I recently sold my house, and Emma Carter specifically did a wonderful job. I was always kept informed, and was given support when I had questions, and never had to wait for a reply. I would 100% use their services again in the future, as they made the process so stress free

Very nervous and confused from the start. Being over 50 it was daunting, but I’m so glad to have Jordan and team there to help me every step of the way. Thank you so much. I would have had a clue if it wasn’t for Convey Law. Xxx

Happy with the service we received purchasing our house, it wasn't a straight forward purchase but they made sure our best interests were always at the forefront of their business.
Reasonably priced also.

Jack made the whole process stress free. The property we were purchasing was unregistered and sold under a power of attorney so we knew it wasn't going to be straightforward. However, Jack kept us informed at every step and pushed the seller's solicitor for a quick and easy transaction.

This review is about to be rather ranty. So, I have compiled a list of the main reasons why you should not EVER use this company.
This is coming from someone who works in the conveyancing industry.
Hidden fees.
I was initially quoted £980. Price was never mentioned again until the invoice was sent over. The final bill? £2,100. The additional work was never discussed, and they had the cheek to add a ‘fast track fee’ to a process that took 5 months???
2. Communication skills of a brick wall.
I had to chase them constantly for updates. Calls went unanswered, voicemails disappeared into the void, and emails seemed to be carefully scheduled to land at 5:01 pm, ensuring any response would conveniently become tomorrow’s problem.
When I did manage to get a reply, I was often told that what I was asking for was wrong. Interesting strategy when the person asking works in the same industry.
3. The time taken.
Average conveyancing timeline: 12–16 weeks.
My case: cash purchase, no chain, simple.
Time taken?
27 weeks.
Ok, onto the rant.
I instructed them on 18 August and finally completed on 27 February. At one point, I genuinely wondered if the property was being transferred by carrier pigeon.
Let me repeat this clearly: Do not use this company.
I actually saw reviews like this before instructing them and thought, “My purchase is simple, it’ll be fine.”
Reader, it was not fine.
For context, I work in the conveyancing industry. I’m not a conveyancer myself, but I sit in the same office as several of them.
Why this is relevant is when I was told certain delays and timelines were “normal”, I knew they absolutely were not.
I won’t name my conveyancer because the real issue seems to be the company itself.
The caseloads these conveyancers must be carrying are clearly enormous, which explains why getting any form of service felt like trying to book an appointment with a celebrity.
The lack of communication throughout was astonishing. As a first-time buyer, what should have been an exciting process was instead replaced with the daily hobby of chasing people who appeared to be playing professional hide-and-seek.
Looking at reviews from the past few months, it’s clear I’m not alone in this experience. It feels like the company has taken on far more cases than it can realistically manage.
In short, the whole operation seems driven by one thing: GREED
More cases, more money, and unfortunately, very little care for the customer paying for it.
This was one of the most unnecessarily stressful and dragged-out processes I have ever dealt with, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
If you do decide to use this company, I suggest settling in, getting comfortable, and maybe buying some hair dye in advance.
You’ll probably go grey waiting to move into your house.

Great service from start to finish. Phillip was efficient, thorough, and communicated clearly throughout the entire conveyancing process. Everything was completed on time with no surprises, which made the purchase of our new home as straightforward as possible. Highly professional and highly recommended.
