Highly recommend this hotel!
The hotel staff are so welcoming and friendly. We had a beautiful room, with lovely decor suiting the hotels history. The grounds are stunning. The Medieval Banquet was fantastic, the team should be very proud. The food was delicious, including the breakfast the next day. We will definitely be coming back. I believe its the small things that make a stay, like the gentleman opening the door as we left wishing us a safe journey home, and the complimentary worthers originals in reception. Two small things that would make the stay even better would be bottled water in the room and posher biscuits for teas and coffees in the room. Apart from that I loved it all!
Honestly this is first class service

Went for afternoon tea as a surprise…
Went for afternoon tea as a surprise treat from my daughter in law. Its the worst afternoon tea I have ever had. £26 each is massively overpriced for what we had. No option on breads, was white nothing, no option on fillings, one was fish which I don't eat. The bread was hard had clearly been left out a while. The service was appalling. One of the waitress's who was oriental was so rude. Worst experience ever and totally ruined the surprise treat it should have been.
Stayed on a No Ordinary Sunday package…
Stayed on a No Ordinary Sunday package at the hotel. This is fantastic value and we stayed in Feature Room 140 which we would highly recommend. It has the bathroom hidden behind the bookcase which is really quirky.
Chef Andy cooks and presents his food with incredible passion. The steak was fantastic.
