Just bought a 20x8ft lifetime shed from Costco.
I paid £500 for a 2 day installation.
My obligation was to check that all components were correct.
Job done, all present and correct.
When the installation team arrived they noticed that the floor screws were missing but not itemised in the manufacturers instructions booklet.
Not my fault, I thought!
The installation team said that they could continue the installation but it could affect my warranty, but would return when they arrived.
Now i was told that i would have to pay another near on £200 quid for them to continue the installation?
What a con and rip- off !
How am i responsible for a manufacturer fault?
First and last time i do business with these con artists!

First ever visit to costco stevenage and the staff were so unbelievably helpful and friendly, honestly could not have done more. Great value products, testers throughout the store, fab cafe food. 10 out of 10

Costco advertises items as wholesale low price item to pull in customer's to shop for other items yet the item itself does not exist, I'l give an example of LG oled 55c55la advertised on being at warehouse from 19th March till 22nd March however went to reading store it was not in stock rang other stores no stock, so it was waste of time visiting, since I've rang other branches they said above item not in stock on 19th, 20th or 21st. Costco you need to be Honest in a dishonest world.

We have been members of Costco for 30 years but our loyalty means nothing to Costco.
We were told that our membership had auto renewed so we turned up to the store and was not allowed to enter. They said our membership had expired.
This company doesn't give a dam about customer loyalty.

Visited the Sunbury store this afternoon and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience at the checkout with a staff member called Mandie.
The queue was extremely long, stretching down the middle aisle. A lady in front of me only had two large items, so to make things easier for her as the queue moved forward, I offered space in my trolley so she didn’t have to keep lifting them.
When we reached the checkout, she placed her items on the conveyor. Mandie immediately and quite abruptly shouted, “Leave the heavy items in the trolley.” As we tried to explain that we weren’t together and were paying separately, she interrupted and repeated the instruction in a very dismissive tone.
When I commented, “Someone is very grumpy today,” she continued with the same attitude, repeating the rule rather than listening. I decided to leave my own items in the trolley, at which point she told me, “You are just being awkward.” This was completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
To top it off, she then told a colleague (who appeared to be a supervisor), “I’m due to go on a break.” That was probably for the best.
I understand working on busy tills can be stressful, but taking it out on customers is not acceptable. A bit of patience and basic courtesy would have made all the difference here.
Very disappointing experience.

Just done some demolition work on their store in Edinburgh at night because it’s a live shop. They’re trying to give me a parking ticket for going to work in their store.

I bought a laptop for just under £2,000. When it stopped working, Costco initially told me I had to arrange the repair directly with the manufacturer. That raises a few issues — for example, if the device goes missing during the process, it suddenly isn’t Costco’s problem anymore.
After several phone calls and email complaints, Costco eventually agreed to arrange the collection themselves and send it to the manufacturer.
Just as well, really — because DPD managed to lose the parcel after it was collected via “secure delivery”. Four weeks later I’m still without a laptop while DPD “investigate”, and somehow Costco seem to think this situation is perfectly acceptable.

Absolutely disgusted with Costco. Ordered a fridge freezer and when the delivery driver came to deliver he flatly refused to get it out of his van. After much mansplaining he said it wouldn’t fit. He swore! claiming the measurements were wrong online. After phoning Costco and emails backwards and forwards with photos of my door measurements they came back and said they would only deliver to the front door. Why offer a delivery and installation service??? I am a single mother who has now been without a fridge for 10 days. The driver was intimidating and aggressive. I will NEVER purchase from them again.

They have really gone down hill in terms of customer service. Their employees are rude and entitled and most of all UNHELPFUL. I ended my membership after over a decade.

Pointless waste of time, dont offer 2 for 1.
Scanned the trolley before checkout then takes twice as long to count it twice, clue scan it once at the check out, it saves time, "Buy any 2 hovis" then told the two for one bread of any Hovis type was not right had to get one of each again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get it right imbecils!
So how do we contact you!!!!!

Costco UK has mastered the art of charging people for a membership that feels worthless the moment you try to use it. Being stopped at the till and denied a sale because I supposedly do not “look like” the photo on their card is not customer service : it is lazy, insulting, and degrading. If you want people to pay to shop, then treat them with basic respect instead of like suspects. A paid membership that ends in public embarrassment is not a benefit, it is a joke.

They cancelled the Oven delivery and rearranged for 6 days later. Driver damaged wood floor but denied it. Will not use Costco on line again. Disappointing, considering we have spent thousands over the years.

Absolutely disgusting that a company as big as this doesn't look at kinship carers as "good enough" for a membership. Foster carers who are actually paid to look after kids are recognised but kinship carers who are paid a lot less if anything at all and who tend to have bigger families so more need for bulk buying are not. We get a lot less help overall and quite often end up with very little money due to having to drop hours to care for children who have a lot of extra needs due to their circumstances so the least a company like this could do is show that little support in recognising the service we provide.

Shocking customer service from Haydock Costco. My membership ran out yesterday (member since 2009) and woman guarding front entrance would not let me and family pass without having to join a mile long queue to renew. I joined the line but opened the Costco app and renewed online instantly. I then returned to the woman on the door and showed her my receipt of payment but she still would not let me in, telling me it can take 24 hours and I must therefore queue again for a day pass (queue now 30 people deep) I rejoined the big queue, logged in and out of the Costco app and hey presto my membership had renewed (as I would have expected). Finally gained entry! I never have any hassle in any other Costco store (Liverpool staff can’t do enough for you) well that’s it I won’t be visiting Haydock any more

MICROSOFT SURFACE 7 laptop was returned as had a hardware (motherboard) fault. ("LiveKernelEvent" / 141).This is a documented fault and the fix is to upgrade the graphics card or replace CPU, on a new laptop! I am not a gamer. This was the 2nd replacement. 1st one had the same fault and was returned to warehouse. 1st replacement was ordered online. Keyboard did not work. Had to be returned for refund. Costco arranged for UPS to collect, except UPS didn't. Despite the tracking showing that UPS had missed the collection, Costco insisted it was still going to be collected on agreed day. Another collection arranged, Item collected and refunded. 2nd replacement ordered online. It developed the same fault as the first Microsoft surface. Ups missed the collection again. Another collection arranged and Item returned to Costco. It has now been in Costco returns warehouse for 10 days. 5 phone calls to Costco and still no refund . I have been told it was refunded in January (laptop 2), I returned it in February Laptop 3). I will not buy another Microsoft surface laptop, nor will I make any further purchases from Costco, in store or online.

Costco UK customer service is 0/10 compared to the US. My membership is joint with my husband in the US and we made a purchase on the UK website while we were in the UK. Item was faulty but when I called Costco to return this, they refused to speak to me and let me handle the return because the name of the website user is my husband’s? We pay for the membership via joint account and we share the same address and I’m the only one currently in the uk to handle this fiasco, yet they want to arrange the return with him while he’s oversees and not me. Very poor logistics: I even offered to send them a copy of our marriage certificate and have both our membership numbers and all details but nope, I cannot get this returned even though shipping and billing is in my name and card used to pay is also in my name - just because the name of the user on the website is his. Does not make any sense at all especially in a time crunch when I’m due to fly again and need to sort this out before leaving the uk.
