Padme Amidala Deluxe Costume

I ordered the Padme Amidala costume from Costume City after reading its positive reviews. This was a terrible mistake!!

The utility belt that comes in the costume was advertised to be a REAL belt (because why wouldn’t it be?) with REAL fabric and REAL pockets when it was actually just a thick latex band with splats of balls of rubber that look like bread dough. The belt came crumpled up and stuck together. There is a very poorly painted 2D gun that sticks out of one of the “pockets”. It also has a nice big ‘MADE IN CHINA’ label on the side so everyone knows where you got it from!!

The body suit came in a salmon colour with zero shape to it. The fabric was cheap and scratchy. It was so thin but someone also made my body feel like a sauna after it had been on for 2 seconds.

The shawl was the only thing worth using in this pack even though it too was incredibly thin and had a big seam down the back. The company also mentions it has velcro tabs on the collar but it most definitely does not.

The boot tops also were nothing like they were advertised. They are also salmon/pink, made of thin foam and have none of the details they pictured showed.

For the cherry on top they sell this bad boy for a whopping $58. This costume looks like it cost 67c to make.

Overall I would not recommend this company to anyone as I can believe this is what most of there other costumes are like. It should be illegal for them to use an incredibly false and misleading picture to advertise their product which is nothing like it.

TERRIBLE!!

TERRIBLE!!! Will not shop here ever again!! Could not attend function due to Illness, this company will not even offer a store credit or exchange. DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!!! Buy elsewhere !!!

Terrible customer service!

I never received my costume and wig and missed going to my community’s Halloween festivities. When I contacted Costume City, I was told to check my post office. They made no effort to assist or offer a refund, and had a horrible attitude.

great service and wide selection

I bought a costume in size medium. It was too big for my kid. I called the company and requested a return label. I returned the costume at no cost and they refunded in full within 5 days.

Costumes are NEVER in stock!

I placed an order two days ago for a costume that was shown to be in stock and paid for priority shipping. It was guaranteed to arrive by tomorrow, but other than the initial email confirming my order I had not received an email regarding any shipping information so I decided to call to check the status of my order. My call was immediately sent to a voicemail so I called back several times, each having the same result. Eventually I decided to use the online chat feature from their website and was able to finally speak with someone. After waiting about ten minutes for the customer service agent to check the status of my order she told me that the costume I ordered was no longer in stock, but that she did the same costume in a much larger size if I would like that one instead. I immediately requested a cancellation confirmation to be sent to my email. About 30 minutes later I received a phone call letting me know that they did sell out of the costume and that as previously stated they had a larger size or they also had a similar costume in the same size if I would like to go ahead with my order. I am very disappointed by the overall situation because I am wondering when they were going to tell me that they didn't have the costume I ordered, especially since it was due to arrive tomorrow. If they sold out of the costume over the weekend I think that two days would have been sufficient time to notify their customer that their order would not be arriving so that they could either cancel or order something else. I see no reason why I had to call and check the status of my order, but thankfully I did! BEWARE of this company...sometimes unbelievable prices are really too good to be true. Hopefully, if you decide to purchase anything from this company it will work out better for you.

Horrible customer service

Don't buy from here. They don't update their site inventory so costume I bought was out of stock even though it showed available. They sent me a totally different outfit than what I ordered in the wrong size to boot. It took a good 10 days to get them to send return shipping label (and about 4 phone calls) and another 2 weeks to get a refund. Half the time they don't answer the phone. Steer clear!
