Highly recommend County Windows
We are so pleased that we chose County Windows - we had all 10 windows replaced on our bungalow and had fantastic service from start to finish. Mike came out with brochures and guidance, we then visited the shop to see him which was really helpful in picking the finishes. Alan and Matt then fitted the windows beautifully - working flat out - they were so speedy but they did a fantastic job. Lovely friendly guys and they cleaned up after themselves. Thanks so much, The Smiths
Replacement Bay windows

Roof Lantern
The two fitters made us feel comfortable and confident during the fitting of the roof lantern and upstairs bathroom window. At no time did I feel there was unnecessary mess or any damage to my home. Very professional and friendly. Would defiantly use again and highly recommend.
nothing but the best
over the years we have had patio doors fitted, we also had arched window fitted that we where very pleased with when we had to replace the conservatory, at the time the windows and door where ok, but the roof polycarbonate which was not appropriate, West Country Windows, came to the rescue, at ten years later the door and windows had to be replaced, West Country windows, came to the rescue, we have always had a prompt service from them and never let us down, would i recommend them, every time.

From the salesman to the fitters I cannot fault this company and would highly recommend.
My windows are exactly what I wanted and after using so many useless unreliable companies it made a pleasant change to use a professional, reliable one.
To all 2022 customers of County Windows
If anyone has had work done with County Windows in the last year , I would strongly advise that you get an independent tradesman in to check the work . Our conservatory was completed in April and I thought we had dodged a bullet when I heard they had gone bust..Alas no. We cannot open our bifold doors because it turns out they didn’t install the roof correctly ( we had the lovely AA windows round today to look at the problem ) so we paid 20K + for a conservatory that is struturally unsound and we will never have the funds to rectify this. Looking into taking legal action and would be interested to hear about others experience
I would add - that the whole process from start to finish was a shambles . It took 3 months to do the job..the project manager Harry was totally out of his depth. We had tradesman turning up ahead/behind schedule and confused about what they were meant to be doing. They had to redo the whole plastering because my partner realised that they had inserted the door incorrectly when he did a bit on hoovering. Total bloody nightmare
They just gone into administration!!
They just gone into administration!!! They were supposed to install our solid roof 20th June…. then the date was moved to 18th July and 3 weeks ago 11th August.
Yesterday we received a call that the company have gone into administration!! Our house is being renovated and this was a key step in the renovation…. now, it’s a building site and everything that depending on that is delayed for who knows!
Great quality doors and installation
County windows recently installed very large bifold doors and replaced 3 existing patio doors. Our overall experience has been really good from the initial meeting to measure the doors to installation. The doors look amazing and really modernise the look of our house. The installers were professional, polite, organised and left the site tidy at the end of each day. It did take a little longer for the installation date to be booked in but it was worth the wait as the doors are very good quality. There have been a few teething problems with the rubber on the bifolds and stiff locking mechanism but the aftercare has been quick and dealt with the problem. We will use County Windows again when it is time to replace our windows. 👏👏

I used county windows to fit a front porch for us. The sales process was a breeze with no pressure. There was a short delay on the product arriving, but this was due to supply issues and every time there was contact, I was told exactly was happening. The fitters that turned up were very professional. I even got a phone call the day after install to check I was happy.

Poor service and serious delays
Professional Sales, Incompetent installation, Poor communications.
Started in March still waiting for them to finish at the end of July.
Work progressed quite well initially with a few hold ups for the weather, when the base was finished the conservatory was installed quickly, then everything went off the rails.
We are having a conservatory built but also moving a door from our kitchen into the conservatory, however it seems County Windows forgot this and sent an electrician to do a first fix, however he couldn't do the whole job because the door hadn’t been moved, County Windows were intent on sending plasterers next before the door was done, I actually had to explain why this was a bad idea to them. There was then a huge delay because the guys who move doorways were scheduled for other work, eventually this happened and the electrician came back to finish his first fix, the room was plastered and the electrician finished his job off.
We are still waiting for the internal door to be installed, this is a simple wooden door, it was specified at the beginning of the job but they waited until the end of June to order it. Until the door is installed we can’t fit and paint the skirting board, we can’t have the furniture delivered in short, SINCE PAYING NEARLY £30,000 IN MARCH WE STILL CANNOT ENJOY OUR NEW CONSERVATORY AT THE END OF JULY.
Furthermore throughout the installation we have suffered from poor communications, a person in the office, who organises the various tradesmen does not pass on information about when tradesmen are turning up, so you plan your day and lo and behold you get a knock on the the door and your day is cancelled, on the other hand he also doesn't let you know when someone ISN'T coming so you spend a whole morning or afternoon waiting for someone who was never coming anyway.
FOLLOWING UP ON THE REPLY FROM COUNTY WINDOWS, WE HAVE NOT AGREED A REFUND, AS WE CONSIDERED THEIR OFFER TO BE INADEQUATE .

It seems that Covid is the excuse that keeps giving. They were originally supposed to come in December, but fortunately they were delayed and arrived at the beginning of January. That was just as well, because Christmas would have been ruined as we had to move everything out of the original conservatory in order to fit the replacement, meaning the house was full of stored items anon room for family to visit.
It's taken until June to finish.
During that time I've had to wait for items to be ordered, wait again for the wrong items to be re-ordered and wait for the fitters to turn up as they juggled other jobs that haven't been finished.
The excuse of course is Covid. Suppliers are not delivering on time etc etc. How very convenient for them. Yes, that is true in part, but that doesn't explain why the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I've spent an awful lot of my time waiting for this to be completed.
Fortunately for us, the fitters were very competent, so we have ended up with a decent product. If anyone thinks that they are going to get a stress free installation, then they are going to be very disappointed. If you are foolish enough to use them, just don't make any plans!

Dreadful
Dreadful. Don’t touch with a barge pole. I ordered a replacement conservatory in March 2021with delivery scheduled for July. I heard absolutely nothing and I had to write to the directors to get some sort of response. Having been told that installation would take 7 - 8 days it began in November, and took five and a half months. The whole process was a nightmare, unexplained absences, miscommunication between the dreadful workmen and the office, mistakes in building and at one point I had to halt all work and insist that the surveyor and installations manager attend to sort things out.I took to recording every issue extending to four sides of A4.
I have made a formal complaint and have received an apology for the delay but not for anything else. The contract was for £24,000. I have asked for compensation in acknowledgement of what I was subjected to but to date have had no further response.
Update. A letter to the Directors at the company’s registered address has come back marked ‘gone away’ and a search if companies house shows that the company was nearly struck off the register last year.

Poor service. Long wait and poor communication.
Whilst great windows and great fitting, It was an appalling service overall. When we signed the contract they said 6-8weeks, we got one door 7 months later and the second door 8 months. The last door also was missing handles and wrong hinges. No real communication from the firm about the delay. Although they were very fast to collect the remaining money. Overall a very poor experience.

I recently moved to a property near Shaftesbury and badly needed a Studio for my Art work. County-Windows came up trumps from their surveyor who visited the site initially through all the various teams of people who, checked out the planning situation, did the groundwork, the actual build and plastering plus a couple of sliding doors elsewhere and ending up with. As a newcomer, pushing towards 80 on her own I am extremely grateful for all their precise measurements and expertise. Covid did delay matters but that was inevitable. They all worked wonders and I now have a great Studio to work in. Thank you all very much.

I found County Windows a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end and am pleased I chose them to fit my new uPVC sliding sash windows. Andrew gave excellent advice and was really patient and helpful during the process of choosing which to go for and the final design. I'm thrilled and incredibly happy with the Ultimate Sash which look as authentic as the original Victorian timber windows. They were also fitted efficiently and neatly with the minimum of disruption to the decor . I highly recommend County Windows and would like to thank the whole team involved particularly Andrew, Harry and Alex.
