Professional, helpful & knowledgeable staff.
I needed a new built in oven but wasn’t sure what type. The sales assistant Hurera was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional and gave me all of the information I needed to make a decision on the best option for me.
Was all geared up to buy a washer
Arrived all geared up to buy a washing machine from the collection on display (Hove, Old Shoreham Road), and was formulating a few questions in my head.
I had been looking for a few minutes before an elderly couple (same age as me, probably) appeared in the same department and were immediately approached by an assistant for help. They, too, had lots of questions and I could hear them becoming quite chummy with the assistant.
Eventually, the three moved to the kettles and toasters section and I could see their assistance was continuing, eventually all three sitting down and conversing.
Having enquired from the main "Here to Help" person, he said there may be a few minutes to wait as no assistants were available. I waited patiently and checked out other goods in another section of the store.
I spoke to him on two more occasions, and he said he was still waiting for Assistant availability!
After being in the store for 40 minutes in total, I left, frustrated that no-one could help me, that I'd been ignored by the first assitant, and that I had not placed an order on a washing machine.
I did at least get photos of the fronts of two washing machines I am interested in, so as to show the programme settings (the pictures on the Curry's website are not big enough to show those crucial details).

Alameen He is the most helpful sales associate I have ever met. He listened to me with incredible patience, treated me with kindness and respect, and worked hard to find a solution. What impressed me most was how well he balanced looking after me as a customer with representing his company. He is a real credit to the team.
excellent service
Currys online ordering procedure is so quick and efficient
I chose my new washing machine and selected my options and delivery date, paid for it all in under 15 mins
Choosing the machine took the longest as the range was very large
Excellent service
I’m expecting the delivery men to be as good, and I have no doubt they will be based on my past experience

I asked female member of staff for a printer that holds A4 plain paper in one tray and 4x6 photo paper in another. She consulted a male member of staff and returned to tell me there was no such printer in Curry’s. I carried out some online research and returned to Curry’s and bought the printer with 2 trays that I wanted.

Currys Complaint in Thirteen Stages!! NOT RESOLVED
Currys Complaint in Thirteen Stages!! Purchased food weighing scales from Currys online for my 89 years old mother. Paid with my PayPal and sent to my mothers address.
1) The item was faulty when it arrived. We couldn't get the back off of the battery compartment with the tiny screws.
2) Took the item into my the large Currys store in Hove, but was forced to wait for 15 minutes for any staff to appear on the customer service desk.
3) I then chased with a member of staff on the floor (who I since found out was the store manager..). When I explained, he said "I don't think you have been waiting that long!?!".
4)He said there was no one to serve me because the only person who was manning desk was in the toilet.
5) I waited around another 15 minutes for that one person to arrive. They could also not remove the tiny screws and agreed the item was faulty.
6) They said I could only get a refund with a gift card, as they could not refund me through my PayPal account. They advised that if I had paid by card that I could have got a refund.
7) The only other option I had was to package the item up myself and post it back. Which I refused to do and left the item with the manager and took a photograph of him with the item at then left the store.
8) I then made 2 separate attempts to speak to customer services, both waiting times of over 30 minutes to get through. And TWICE they hung up on me! even though I wasn't at all rude.
9) I tried using Currys Webchat and was cut off twice before anything was resolved.
10) I contacted PayPal and advise of the situation and raised a dispute.
11) I also wrote a formal letter to Currys Complaints department, via post Recorded Delivery as there is no other option, as no email provided for Complaints Department.
The letter was never signed for nor it's delivery recorded.
12) I then updated PayPal and sent them copy of my letter, proof of posting and photograph of the item with the manager. Currys then 'mysteriously'
started communicating with me by email.
13) However they have now sent me three emails saying that because of gdpr, and because I paid for the item on my PayPal and sent it to my mother's address (even though - at their request... my mother sent a letter of authorization for them to deal with me on this issue), they are still able or willing to deal with the issue
14) Written to RIP OFF BRITAIN
...continued - it gets better...
I have now been contacted on four occasions by individuals fraudulently purporting to represent Currys "Customer Service.

A shout out for Louie (Brighton branch)…
A shout out for Louie (Brighton branch) for his help today. I also saw how he dealt with other customers and he is a real asset.
This was a bad experience
This was a bad experience! I ordered a lap top cover that was described as ocean blue and looked blue in the picture, but when I went to collect it, it was actually grey. I was then told this was becuse the website colours often look different than the actual colours. I’d say this is actually misleading though, as the colour was described as ocean blue and I was pretty sure that this wasn’t the correct item but the staff were convinced it was.
Following this, I was asked to join a very slow moving queue for a refund, (I waited nearly 20 minutes) only to be told I’d have to come back tomorrow as the product was not yet registered on your system so a refund was not possible.
It was only after I persisted and refused to accept this that a manger was called who initially said the same thing but eventually found a way around this.
It was disappointing to a) find that the product I had walked 30mins to collect was not as described, and having to wait 4-5 days for a refund, and b) to then be met with what I thought was appalling customer service. I will try to avoid shopping there again.
