Ordered a robot vacuum and paid in full in store. Never arrived. Customer care useless. Got a refund in the end. Time wasted due to terrible communication

Went there to get the new Airtag 2nd gen. Once paired it tuned out to be the old 1st gen which is no longer being sold so they must have given me one from the last stock. Gave them a ring just to be told that i already opened it and they wont take it back. I paid the full 2nd gen price 39.99€ and the only way to tell them apart seems to be a tiny sticker on the backside. What a scam. I won't spend my money there anymore, plenty of other electronic stores in cork.

Bought freezer online 7th Jan. Delivery driver said no one home when there was, feezer went MIA. Customer service appalling. Customer advisor said it was then available for collection at local store. It wasnt. Store manager could not locate order as it was online and couldnt give refund. Lots of emails but no progress. Requested chargeback from credit card in March as no freezer or refund. Whether item purchased online or instore the store manager should be able to sort. Plenty of competition/ alternatives and wont buy anything from them again.

Dear Store Manager,
I am writing to make a formal complaint about an incident that occurred in your Liffey Valley store today at approximately 3:50pm.
While attempting to purchase a microwave that was clearly advertised in-store at €59.99, I was informed at the till that the price was actually €69.99. When I queried this discrepancy, I was told that the promotional sign had not yet been removed and that the higher price was “the price,” essentially leaving the responsibility with the customer rather than the store. I was also told, quite bluntly, that it was “tough.”
I would like to point out that misleading price displays fall under consumer protection regulations, and customers are entitled to expect that items displayed at a particular price will be honoured or at the very least addressed with professionalism and courtesy.
More concerning than the pricing issue, however, was the behaviour of the staff involved. Both the duty manager and a floor staff member named James were exceptionally rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily confrontational. Rather than attempting to resolve the matter calmly, their tone and attitude were abrupt and dismissive, which made what should have been a straightforward discussion escalate into an uncomfortable interaction.
As a business owner myself, I fully understand that mistakes happen in retail environments. Promotional signage being left up is an understandable oversight. However, the way staff handle those situations is what reflects the standards of a company. The lack of basic customer care and professionalism shown during this interaction was extremely disappointing and not something I would ever tolerate from employees representing my own business.
I would appreciate this matter being reviewed and addressed appropriately. At the very least, staff should be reminded of the importance of respectful customer service and how to handle pricing discrepancies in a professional manner.
I look forward to your response.
Kind regards,
Eva

Pre ordered my samsung s26 ultra from currys in limerick and as promised was available to collect today .staff are very friendly and helpful .highly recommend shopping here
Would give no stars I could. Rubbish rubbish rubbish rubbish customer service!!!! Having issues with a fridge that’s one month old. A week into emailing customer service and they still haven’t gotten past asking me for a correct eircode even though I’ve given it to them ten times. The phone customer service are absolutely useless. Say they can’t and won’t deal with the issue.
Haven’t had time to get back into store. But I will never ever ever ever buy from them again.

I had a problem with my Lenovo laptop that I purchased in Currys Carrickmines. I dealt with Benny and Wesley at
the service centre. Both Benny and Wesley were very
knowledgeable, patient, and extremely helpful. Despite
being very busy, I got undivided attention and great advise. With highly skilled staff like these, Currys will
always be my go-to store. Many thanks to both.
Shame I dont have the options for Zero Stars.
Ordered a Dyson Handheld via their website and selected next day delivery - that was the easy part. Order confirmation came through as you would expect. Brilliant. Within seconds, another email, telling me my order has been delayed and somebody will call me soon to explain my options. Received a phonecall two hours later askiing if i wanted to purchase their care and repair which I had already declined at checkout to which i said no. The operator then told me that either royal mail would send me a text the next morning with a delivery window, and please ensure someone over 18 is home to sign for it.
We come to the day of delivery and I click the order confirmation to track my order, still not dispatched. I call their absolutely woeful customer services line and am told it may be quicker to use online assistant. After an hour of this, I am no further foward so call their number again. When I speak to someone, finally, I am told the item is out of stock. Why should I have had to chase for this information!
In the end got a refund authorised, but I have to wait 3-5 working day for that to arrive....
If only Currys were as foused on actual customer service as they were on sales..... I'll probably avoid them both in store and online from this point.

I ordered an oven from Currys.ie, including installation fee of 55eur and free recycling of the old oven and packaging (this is a fee they explicitly say at check out is included in the price of the good). The delivery men delivered it and I realised it was slightly too large size to replace my old oven. We discussed what to do, and we ended up deciding to leave both ovens and I will find someone to install it myself as counters needed to be resized (while still being able to cook on the old one). They were very helpful and arranged a refund of my installation fee, and said to call Currys once I had installed my new oven so they can come and pick the old over and the packaging. My new oven is now installed so I called to arrange a pick up of the old one through Currys customer service, which is when I was told they can't do this now as it longer than 2 weeks since the delivered the oven (it has been nearly 4 weeks since delivery as it took some time to find someone to install the new one). I asked several times are you sure nothing can be done, especially as the charge for recycling is included in the price of the product. "Nothing can be done". We all know how awkward it is to move white goods, somehow I have to recycle this oven myself now. Very disappointing as it would be so easy to please a customer in this instance. I won't be ordering from Currys again, a shame as was looking to upgrade my fridge and dishwasher soon, but I will go elsewhere from now on

"The Mathematics of Failure." (Price 1,225 + Repair Cost 450 / Years = Disaster, approximate yearly cost 800 euros per year)I purchased this LG American Fridge Freezer in Curry's Naas three and a half years ago, expecting a premium appliance that would last a decade. Instead, I’ve ended up with a €450 repair bill and a scrap metal unit. Whilst the service from the staff was credible, what's not credible is that I cannot write a review of the product on the website, and that the product should be durable and fit for purpose. I do not recommend this product.

I bought a Desktop from PC World, and opened up a paid agreement for 3 or 5 years for Breakdown recovery.
I am very happy with all the repairs they have done. I recently bought an upgraded 3-in-1 desktop, and I am going to have the same service again. They were very prompt and courteous with my repair, and I was very happy with their service. Well done, PC Know How, you did me a great service.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Currys. I ordered a Tefal steamer online for in-store collection, only to get home and discover that the appliance had clearly been previously used and that items were missing from the box.
I then had to spend over an hour on the phone, speaking to four different people, just to arrange an exchange. When I finally received a replacement, unbelievably, that box also had different items missing. This is completely disgraceful and utterly unacceptable.
Five months later, the steamer broke down and started leaking water. Trying to arrange a repair has been another nightmare. I’ve spent over two hours on the phone, speaking to six different people. Each one claimed it wasn’t their department and passed me on to someone else. Every time, I had to repeat all my details, only to be transferred again after 15 minutes.
The customer service is an absolute joke. The lack of quality control and accountability is shocking. If you value your time, money, and sanity, I strongly recommend shopping elsewhere where you’ll receive proper service and respect as a customer.
A complete waste of money and time.

My disabled brother purchased an expensive tv from Currys however despite asking for tv set up to be included in the price when the tv arrived no installation had been included ! I called Currys hoping to have this resolved immediately
What followed was nearly 3 hours of me bieng transferred from one department to another no help whatsoever! I was told installation had not been added when tv was purchased.i asded if they could trace the call to check as I know this was asked for at the time of purchase ! No help offered at all.
I called again the following day once again passed from one department to another some members of staff were quite rude and one again no help whatsoever
The tv has to be returned because currys refused to send an engineer to set up the tv despite the fact they were called within an hour of delivery of the tv and of course offering to pay for this service AVOID THIS COMPANY

Currently being fobbed off by Currys customer service regarding an online purchase of a Vax carpet washer that poured out thick smoke as soon as it was turned on for the first time. Responses are slow, repetitive and keep telling me to call a repair number despite saying I would like to exercise my right to a replacement machine. Herein lies the problem, Currys customer service reps do not appear to be familiar with the Sale of Goods Act etc that states goods must be of merchantable quality and fit for purpose. Hoping someone at Currys reads this and looks into this matter!
Edit 13 March: Currys closed my customer service case with no further action. Appalling lack of engagement. Will be reporting them to the CPCC.

I bought a NINJA – Luxe Cafe Premier Series ES601UKBK Bean to Cup Coffee Machine on November 28th after reading positive reviews and believing it would be the perfect choice for our home. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.
The machine constantly shows errors. The water float often gets stuck, causing waste water to overflow. When making coffee, you must stand next to the machine because the vibration is so strong that the cup can move or even tip over, spilling coffee.
I contacted Currys at the beginning of February and requested a refund due to the faults, but this was refused, despite the refund option being available online. The machine has only been used for a short period of time.
Considering the high price, the quality feels very poor — more like a product bought from Temu rather than a well-known brand. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this product.

Ordered an item that showed as in stock on the website. After placing the order, I kept getting messages saying it would be delivered soon. But when I rang them, I was told they didn’t actually have it in stock. The delivery kept getting pushed back again and again, and in the end it was never delivered at all.
Trying to get a refund was just as frustrating. The online chat staff couldn’t help (ironically the holding message on the phone tells you it's faster through chat option online - clearly didn't help at all), and when I called it took several attempts to even get through to the right department. I was passed around with no clear answers and no one seemed to know what was going on.
Honestly, the only reason to buy from Currys is if you can walk into the shop, pay, and walk out with the item in your hand. I wouldn’t risk doing business any other way with them anymore.

I called to Mahon point recently to purchase extra storage for my mobile phone . While dealing with Justin he unloaded and removed unnecessary app files off my phone which helped to free up storage . He also advised on storage requirements . Then he replaced my laptop charger with a reliable replacement brand . Justin is a very knowledgeable IT systems expert and has a good customer service attitude .
