Very pleasant in store experience. Spent €1400 on a new Lenovo laptop and insurance. Arrived home to find this device doesn’t come with a charger. 1) this is ridiculous, selling me a new devi... See more

A follow up from my previous review No contact. Got two emails and after calling curry's twice was told my pc would be collected. Nothing. Why am I not surprised. Three months now. The PC has a layer of dust on it now. Absolutely the worst service ever.

Absolutely outrageous from start to finish. Bought €450 laptop just before Christmas and doesn’t turn on at the start of February. Dropped in for repairs and they’re claiming it’s no longer under warranty as there is ‘liquid corrosion’. Laptop has never been near liquid, was told I’d get sent pictures of the motherboard damage, never got shown these photos. Got quoted £550 to fix it. No store credit no replacement no proof of damage nothing. I’m now out of pocket €450 after a month of using the laptop and they offer absolutely no help.

Great help from staff there! Got sorted quickly, 10/10 lads
Ordered a microwave to be picked up from Currys Naas Jigginstown. After having 2 replacements (both dented) and the second one being opened and checked at the Currys store, I asked for a third replacement to be delivered to my home since driving 28kms every single time probably costs more than the delivery with no guarantee that the next one won't be dented as well. First of all, Currys system itself is bad enough that it doesn't let their staff add delivery to home and they had to ask me to get a refund and place a new order putting more money on the spot to get home delivery, no compensation or discount was offered as well for my inconvenience. On top of that, the store manager was extremely rude and had the guts to tell me that I am not losing ANY money by travelling all the way to Currys(28kms) 3 times to collect my order only to find it dented everytime and offered no help at all. I would definitely not recommend this store. Got better service at Harvey Norman and DID for sure.

I bought a Beko oven and induction hob from this company in late December. It was fitted along with an integrated microwave, washing machine (all bought from the same store in waterford)
This amounted to over a 1000€.
The induction hob is only installed 6/7 weeks and it had failed. I have been trying without success to get either beko or Currys to send out a service call. Diabolical.
Now I have to physically drive from wexford to Waterford tomorrow to speak to someone in person!
Be very careful with these companies because they're aftercare is NON EXISTANT!

Terrible to deal with and cons.
No collection options when I went to a store to buy a cooker. Delivery only at a cost of €35 but all prices advertised less the delivery charge even online. Terrible experience when I asked them about false prices if I can’t collect. Staff member just smiled at me and shrugged. Never will I set foot in their store or buy from them.

Returned a power washer that was delivered severely damaged. Used DPD(same company who delivered the package). The return was arranged by Curry's. It's been over a month and they still have not replaced the item. I have emailed numerous times and called also. I've given the address details, order number, etc to multiple customer care people. Every email /call is like starting over again. All in all, an absolute nightmare to deal with.
31/03/2026 UPDATE
So after waiting 8 weeks, 8 phone calls and numerous emails.... I can get a refund because the product is no longer in stock. So I basically lent Curry's 450 euro interest free for 8 weeks. Grand job for them. I don't recommend purchasing anything online from this crowd. And one more thing, people want solutions not a 'sorry'from customer service reps.

My 14 year old son and 2 friends came to Fonthill store today after my son found headphones he wanted to buy with his birthday money on the curry's website and so arranged to meet friends and get the headphones in store instead of paying the delivery through online order.
When they entered the store today sometime between 11.30 and 12.30 they were approached by female staff who asked them what they were doing in the shop and said if they cause any trouble they'll be asked to leave. When the boys asked if she says this to everyone who comes into the store she said that teenage boys cause trouble!!!..
I was absolutely appalled to hear this had happened to my son and his friends when they went to curry's today. You need to do some training with your staff our profiling and discrimination... How rude that staff member was to assume my son and fiends would be in to cause trouble... Very disappointed as loyal customers of Curry's for many years and our usual go to for electrics.... Not any more.

After 2 really bad experiences with the in line delivery (which I still would never use again) I had to get an adapter and called into Currys in blanch. The store was packed. The manager, Anne, came out into the floor straight away calling staff to tills. Seeing I was looking for help she was with me next and helped me. As I thanked her she said ‘while you’re there has anyone spoken to you about a special offer with Sky’. I said they hadn’t and I might be interested. She went and brought out one of her team John who very courteously and professionally explained the options and what to expect. Unlike me, I made the secure and then to take the offer. This is solely due to the friendly, professional and courteous way I was tested complimented by their knowledge of what they were demoing. I’m very grateful to Anne and to John. It’s my first positive in store experience. I’m very grateful to see things are moving in the right direction
I called specifically to confirm a price match is possible on a washing machine, I tried calling store directly no way to do this, so spoke with customer service where I checked with the lady and she confirmed that the website I want to price match with is not on the prohibited list and in store staff will do the price match. I travelled to the store in Liffey Valley, showed the link to the sales assistant, was told no problem for price match, wasted my time with her taking all my details and before payment manager's approval was required - only at that point supervisor arrived and they refused to price match it!!! How can you be so misleading and untrustworthy, when other stores will price match, your stores simply refused as it wasn't one of the big ones from the list, and there was option Other on the list to choose if they wanted to... I guess you don't want the sale and believe me my family don't want to buy from you anymore!!! I have made my purchase elsewhere and won't be coming back to Currys - full of incompetence, disappointment, lies and time wasting, simply AVOID!
Also they sent me a survey and when I tried to submit my comment, it didn't accept it and asked me to reload the link, when I did - surprise! It said I already opened this link and can't reload it.

Ripped off grand scale. Just bought printer ink for Brother machineLC3217 and paid 109.00 euro. Should have checked prices elsewhere 50 to 60 euro cheaper. What a ripoff. Be warned price check before you get ripped off.

I have had and continue to have an horrendous experience with Curry's Ireland. On November 27th last I bought a DREAME - L40 Ultra AE Robot Vacuum Cleaner & Mop from Curry's Ireland for €556.98 (including delivery). It never worked well but by the end of January it was really barely working, making noises, unable to empty, dock etc. I contacted Currys and to make a long story short they arranged for it to be collected by DPD. It was collected in mid February but they cannot seem to find it - even though I have the DPD docket that was given to me by the driver. They now insist it was collected on March 5th - which is impossible as it was collected almost a month before. There is no doubt in my mind that between DPD and Currys they have lost my vacuum. This type of thing surely happens but it is not my problem though they are making it mine. With the exception of one support person to whom I spoke on the phone last week and who tried to sort it out, nobody has tried to solve this in other than a cursory way. They ignore what I say in my emails and tell me what it says on their system. Which is always incorrect. I have sent them everything, videos of the broken vacuum, the details from the DPD docket, I have asked repeatedly that this be solved and that they contact me. No joy. I do receive emails from them but they are, as I said above, just what it says on their system and not an answer to my emails. I will never again buy anything from Currys .Don't buy from them because if anything goes wrong you stand to lose both your money and the item you have purchased - or at least that is what has happened to me. I wish I could give less than one star.

Score: 10/10 – Fantastic store and top-tier service
Visited Currys at Mahonpoint recently and was really impressed with how well-organized and tidy everything was. It was easy to find exactly what we were looking for, and the range of products on display is excellent. A huge thank you to Geofray who assisted us; he was incredibly helpful and made the whole process stress-free. The items we bought are of brilliant quality and perform exactly as described. A 10/10 shopping experience all around!
Disgusting Company to deal their instore staff do not-will not discuss anything bought in Store. 1st, and only help was a page with manufacturer's telephone number.Obviously no one has versed them on Sale of Goods Act, nor do they recognise The Consumer Rights Act 2015. Made a formal written complaint, EVENTUALLY received a letter assuring me The Dedicated Customer Team were urgently revealing my complaint. This was ASLO after numerous wasted calls to the dreaded 034561 number.
Reference on letter provided. WHY? It meant nothing, after 1 full hour on 'CUSTOMER CARE ' I was informed nothing had been done at all. They keep referring me back to Manufacturers-my Contract is with Currys, they play stupid, or just are! I'm so not done with this carry on AND fully intend to keep going. They do not have a DEDICATED CUSTOMER CARE TEAM and any references given verbally or in writing mean nothing.

Ordered a robot vacuum and paid in full in store. Never arrived. Customer care useless. Got a refund in the end. Time wasted due to terrible communication

Went there to get the new Airtag 2nd gen. Once paired it tuned out to be the old 1st gen which is no longer being sold so they must have given me one from the last stock. Gave them a ring just to be told that i already opened it and they wont take it back. I paid the full 2nd gen price 39.99€ and the only way to tell them apart seems to be a tiny sticker on the backside. What a scam. I won't spend my money there anymore, plenty of other electronic stores in cork.

Bought freezer online 7th Jan. Delivery driver said no one home when there was, feezer went MIA. Customer service appalling. Customer advisor said it was then available for collection at local store. It wasnt. Store manager could not locate order as it was online and couldnt give refund. Lots of emails but no progress. Requested chargeback from credit card in March as no freezer or refund. Whether item purchased online or instore the store manager should be able to sort. Plenty of competition/ alternatives and wont buy anything from them again.
