Very pleasant in store experience. Spent €1400 on a new Lenovo laptop and insurance. Arrived home to find this device doesn’t come with a charger. 1) this is ridiculous, selling me a new devi... See more

Ordered a 65" TV for €2099 to be delivered. Was supposed to be delivered over a week ago, called them and turns out they haven't even shipped it from the UK. I had also sent them an email prior going into full detail, making sure to include the order number, billing details, etc. and I also definitely included the fact that it was not delivered. I got a response a few days later asking if it was delivered, and I sent an email back within 20 minutes, 4 days later I got an email asking for the order number and billing details again. Horrible service.

It is ridiculous that I was unable to contact the Galway store after my purchase as Currys deliberately hiding store phone numbers!!! I had to call a central line but even they couldn’t connect me with the store, even after I provided the name of the consultant I spoke with. The problem is that I was sold a wrong product, not the one discussed and advised in store, which I only realised after opening the package when I got home, after travelling over 100 km from the store.
Instead of offering me a replacement to be posted to my home address, I was advised to travel back to the store!!! Absolutely z ridiculous! I will never shop in Currys ever again and will advise anyone not to do so too!

During an installation for my new washing machine the Currys installation team damaged my existing built-in dishwasher, breaking the foot off and rendering it unusable. The team acknowledged the damage immediately and confirmed I would be looked after with a repair or replacement.
Four weeks later, the dishwasher remains unrepaired and out of use. My kitchen kickboard cannot be refitted as a result of the damage, leaving my kitchen in an unfinished state.
Despite a full report being taken by the installation team on the day, I have had to chase repeatedly and provide all information myself. I have since been asked to source and purchase the replacement part independently and to obtain third party repair quotes – both of which I declined as unreasonable given that Currys admitted liability and have their own repair team.
I have now submitted a formal complaint. After four weeks with no resolution, I would caution anyone considering Currys Ireland’s installation service to be aware of how damage claims are handled.
This is very disappointing as I have always thought of Currys as a trusted brand and am a long term customer.

Very bad experience. Currently awaiting Dishwasher repair service for almost a month now, my dishwasher is broken after only a few months, after paying €400!! No proper organisation and clear communication by the repairs team to arrange a timed visit from an engineer to fix the appliance- I was advised by the repair team that the engineer will contact me to arrange a visit (no visit has yet been arranged or any communication even though I have left voicemails etc) and I have also been told by them the engineer will come on a specific day where I waited all day and no one came or even communicated with me.
Definitely wont be purchasing anything from Currys again

Never would have purchased from your store had I known your policy before my money was taken!!!
I recently purchased a computer monitor from the Airside branch. At the till, and only after my money was taken, a receipt was generated.
On arriving home, I opened the box, placed the monitor in the space and decided I would like to exchange for a larger one.
I re boxed the item and returned to the store to be told - "store policy, we can not take your item back, as the box was opened!" I was told the policy was written on my receipt, which was only generated after my money was taken. Absolutely, disgraceful!! The store manager referred me to an email address for customer service. I wrote to them a number of times and, received the same cut and paste response, they directed me back to the store...why? I explained, I was back to the store and the manager refused to help me.
So, I would never have purchased the item, if I had known their policy before they took my money and generated a receipt with their abhorrent store policy on it, written in the tiniest print.
Lesson? Never purchase from Currys again, simple!!!

Hi I have issue with hood filters, and no one want to help in Dundalk Curry's, but I visit in Navan Curry's, and very good person really help me, Thanks Rojay, he the best
Worst customer service ever, been emailing for over 2 weeks with no help from customer service. I went to the store due to the email delay was spoken to horribly by a bald male staff member in the swords store Dublin. The warranty is up and they keep referring me to the manufacturer, rather than addressing my consumer rights in relation to a product bought from curry’s. Will never purchase from this retailer again. Horrible customer service!

Horrendous service. First they delivered and fitted a washing machine that didn't work so they had to take it back. Only when they left I realised that they had not refitted my other washing machine properly so I had to chase them out the door and get them back to do it.
Two days later they are due to bring the new washing machine, tell me a time etc. Say they can't get parking and will have to come back another day, had to argue for 30 minutes to get another team back to deliver on the same day assuring them that there was parking available.
When that team came back and fitted the washing machine they couldn't fit the door I had to cover it as they apparently hadn't been told about it and this team wasn't "qualified" to do it.
Beyond a joke, just order from literally anywhere else.

Since my local Currys branch does not have a local number I can contact, I have to ring a busy call centre with lots of background noise. I rang to follow up on the status of a purchase I made, as I had heard nothing back.
The customer rep took the receipt number and branch, then followed the script and kept me on the phone for nearly 10 minutes before telling me they could not find the receipt number and that I would need to visit the store. There was a reason I rang in the first place, as it is at the other side of town.
Total waste of time. A real fall from grace from Currys and a clear lack of quality control from management. Some serious changes need to be made before they become the next Argos and close all their stores.
The copy and paste replies to these reviews make it look like the feedback is not being taken seriously. It is obviously not hitting home how much damage this level of service is doing to the Currys brand.

The worst online customer service I have ever experienced. I spoke to 4 different people who all told me a different way to request a refund. Never again, very incompetent. I will only be buying from local Irish businesses going forward.

Possibly the worst customer service team I have ever dealt with, utterly incompetent. I was in need of a washing machine repair which was covered by extra insurance I paid for at purchase, to say I was sent around in circles was an understatement. I spent approx 3 hrs on calls at a ridiculous cost outside of the time wasted and frustration caused to organise a repair. I was transferred from person to person none of whom could help and given number after number none with anyone able or competent enough to fulfil my request. I will never set foot inside a Currys store or purchase anything from them again. Better to buy from a n local irish retailer. Lesson learnt and bad experience shared with many who agree.

Never had so much trouble and time wasting in my life. I will never buy anything from Currys again. It took nearly a year to sort out a laptop that would not switch on. They refused to help me. Absolutely disgusting Customer Service. I was so upset by it all.

I am posting this here because Currys Ireland is completely ignoring my emails and replying with useless, generic automated templates that do not address my problem.
Our Kenwood American Fridge Freezer was damaged on delivery by your team back in December 2025. It has never worked right since, causing serious health issues for my family due to completely erratic temperatures. An engineer finally came out and confirmed the unit is terminally broken, officially issuing an exchange authorisation under Uplift Number: PER12030355-128-27535.
Despite your own team approving this replacement, your customer service agents are completely ghosting me or sending robotic, copy-paste replies.
The fridge I originally bought was an A energy-rated model. I bought it specifically for its size, price, and high energy efficiency. There are no other A-rated fridges at that exact same price point now—everything else costs hundreds of Euros more.
Because your delivery team broke my appliance, I expect Currys to honor my statutory rights under Irish law. I need a replacement that matches my original specifications (A-rated and the correct size) without being forced to pay hundreds of Euros extra for your mistake
Stop sending me generic emails. Look up my Uplift Number: PER12030355-128-27535 and have a real manager phone me today to sort this out, before this goes further with the CCPC.

I couldn't recommend them enough. Easy to find what I wanted, all measurements online, contacted me the same day to arrange a delivery day. Sent a message a few days before to confirm time slot, and the delivery men called me when they were 30 mins away to make sure someone was at home. They had my washing machine inside in no time, very friendly lads, would have taken the old one away too but I had it promised to someone else. Fantastic service, great price, excellent delivery.
Great if all is good but if somethings goes wrong they refuse to fix it . I’m waiting almost 2 years on item that broke immediately, they offered to replace it and keep telling me it’s on the way. My fridge is broken months, it’s impossible to get through to their phone line and they are useless emailing. They keep telling me it’s not their problem even though it’s in warranty. I’d to throw out hundreds of euros of food that had gone off. I can’t cook in advance & my son got food poisonings. It’s very serious (& dangerous) and they ignore me continuously. I’m never buying from Currys again .

After five months from the purchase, my Hisense induction hob stopped working. The Currys helpline not only did not help me, but also misdirected me to a third-party company, which has nothing to do with the Hisense service. Three hours on the phone, three different agents - including one in the UK despite choosing the option that I am calling from Ireland - problem still not solved. Eventually had to call Hisense in the UK. Why do the Currys sell the appliances if they cannot provide after-sales service? Where are the customers' rights? I bought the hob in Currys Ireland just for the peace of mind if something goes wrong - peace of mind is the last thing I can feel now, left without the hob and no idea when I could again prepare the meal for the family. I would not recommend buying anything from Currys Ireland.

Bought a laptop a year or so ago. When doing so they asked me if they wanted me to set it up. I agreed.
What I didn’t know was that it entailed creating a new email address for me and in order to use anything associated with the laptop I must use that account and that email.
This has come back to bite me in many ways resulting in data loss and many evenings stressed out of my mind because of it. Things that should be a simple task are now excruciating with jumping between accounts. If I ever buy a computer from them again I won’t be relying on staff for anything and will certainly set it up myself.
