It's 2 years ago today that I received the Cytronex electric conversion kit for my Thorn Raven, and I'm prompted to say it was an excellent purchase, somewhat expensive, but you get what you pay for - quality.
I fitted it myself, and in these last two years have rode over 7000 miles with no problems. I do a lot of riding on rough tracks carrying heavy loads but this high quality kit hasn't missed a beat. I can ride 30-40 miles on one charge, which is ok for me; I use it for assistance, and it's a godsend on hills or facing headwinds. I'm 77 and it's great to know I can get a power boost whenever I like.
It comes out top in nearly every review of conversion kits I've read, and I can see why!
I love the fact that this is a very high quality British product too, and beautifully built with high quality materials. Aftercare was good, and all my questions were answered promptly.
I rarely leave long reviews, but felt compelled to in this case. I've had so much joy from this product ☺️

Brompton e-bike conversion kit.
I did a lot of research on how to convert my Brompton folding bike into an e-bike. I toyed with the idea of a swytch kit from another comp but was put off by the huge amount of negative reviews from people who have purchased a swytch kit.
Then I found Cytronex, a small engineering firm based in Winchester.
From the initial phone calls with the very competent member of the team Jake, I felt confident that they were a good choice. All parts of the Cytronex kit and manufactured and installed in Winchester was gives me great joy to be supporting a U.K. business. The kit itself is brilliant in both aesthetics but more importantly how it functions…
I am an amputee above knee to my right leg and therefore need a bit of assistance riding up hills. I can now cycle pretty much anywhere!
This is life changing for myself and I cannot thank Cytronex enough for the service I was given on my visit to their Winchester base where my e-bike kit was expertly installed by Jake.
One month on, I have ridden many miles without any problems and would recommend Cytronex without hesitation if you are thinking about using their services.

A quality ebike conversion kit. Every kit has cable lengths tailored to your bike for a neat fit. Rear magnetic sensor works on rear sprockets so no awkward to fit pedal sensor and no need for brake switches. Straight forward to fit and seems a quality product with good backup and service.
