I bought a pair of Moda in Pelle…

I bought a pair of Moda in Pelle sandals from Daniel Footwear for £77. After only three weeks of wearing them to the office, the leather strap tore away from the sandal. They were not subjected to heavy use, so I was very disappointed that they failed so quickly.
I contacted Daniel Footwear, but my claim was rejected, as a result, I was offered no refund or replacement.
I appreciate that retailers may rely on the manufacturer’s assessment, but I expected better quality from a £77 pair of sandals and a more satisfactory resolution. Based on my experience, I would not purchase from Daniel Footwear again.

We are genuinely sorry to hear that you have been disappointed with both the quality of your sandals and the outcome of your claim.

After reviewing the photographs you provided, they were assessed by the manufacturer, who concluded that the damage shown was not the result of a manufacturing fault. Based on this assessment, we were unfortunately unable to offer a refund or replacement under the terms of the warranty.

We appreciate that this was not the outcome you were hoping for and understand how disappointing this must be, particularly after such a short period of ownership. While we have to rely on the manufacturer's technical assessment in these cases, we value your feedback and will ensure your comments are passed on to the brand.
