Deacons Jewellers is the most uninspiring unfriendly shopping experience. Older female sales person (Marlborough) is always miserable and stoney faced. It's so depressing in the shop and it doesn't make you feel good about a purchase. ALSO no refunds if the purchase is an unwanted gift. Deacons said ' we register all watches and have no way of refunding (which is not true). Then contradicted with a credit note. John Lewis sell the same watch with better policies. When I pointed this out I was told to go to Argos... :-)
A good reason NOT to support an independent shop... The Deacons experience is outdated and totally miserable. and it's not a one off experience.

After a friend had recommended Deacons I travelled to Swindon to have my Rolex serviced.
Beautiful Jewelers, made to feel very welcome and then we were introduced to the Manager called James.
James made us feel very comfortable and is a credit to Deacons.
Best experience we have had in a Rolex dealer, his knowledge is second to none and clearly thrives in this environment.
It was so kind of him to show us around their state of the art workshops, we found it very interesting.
I felt safe in the knowledge my Rolex is in highly skilled safe hands.
I fully intend to purchase any future watches from James at this establishment. Thank you James.

Just brilliant.
My wedding got squashed on my finger and it ended up out of shape and I was unable to wear it for months.
A lady across the road who is 94 years old recommended deacons.
Well when I received my ring back it was resized and back to its original condition.
Staff were super and I would like to thank all from the store to the workshop.
I recommend to family and friends.

I worked with Lyle to create a bespoke engagement ring and a few months later, bespoke earrings and a pendant (made from the top of a ring) for the wedding gift. All set in new White Gold using precious stones from family jewellery. Throughout the entire process Lyle was professional, friendly, patient, and explained things clearly about the designs and build. Designs were received to review when expected and further meetings were had to discuss them and make changes where relevant. The finished pieces are stunning and timeless.

I have recently had a bespoke sapphire ring designed and made at Deacons Jewellers in Swindon by Alvide. My request was that it matched my wedding ring. The ring is absolutely beautiful and a great match to my wedding ring. The whole process from initial discussion to final design and production was excellent. I would highly recommend this design service.

Excellent experience buying a long awaited Rolex for hubby. James has to be one of the best sales persons in the Rolex world …and we’ve been in a few! From our initial phone call enquiry, through to final purchase, James’s was very pleasant, exceedingly helpful, extremely knowledgeable and above all patient -ensuring we had all time we needed to make a final decision. We live in Cornwall and would be more than happy to do business with Deacons in Swindon again, even if it were over the phone. Highly recommended.
