Very smooth and swift delivery to Croatia, only 4-5 working days, very professional communication when shipment was delayed, everything was clearly explained and alternative options were offered.

Pedí 3 botellas de vino por más de cien euros para que me las entregaran en mi casa en España, pensando que si todo iba bien compraría más. Una semana después, no habían llegado y me dijeron que había un error de un dígito en mi código postal que había causado el retraso, pero que se resolvería y se entregaría más tarde. Una semana después, seguía sin llegar y seguí el rastreo de DHL, lo que resultó en que me quedé en casa todo un día cuando se suponía que iba a ser entregado. Como resultado, contacté con ellos nuevamente y esta vez me dijeron que era imposible entregar debido al error de un dígito. Me indicaron que el error fue mi culpa y que, por lo tanto, cancelarían mi pedido y me reembolsarían el importe menos los gastos de envío. Esto me pareció una forma terrible de tratar a un cliente nuevo y no entiendo cómo una empresa que trata a sus clientes de esta manera puede seguir en el negocio. Ahora estoy buscando comprar mi vino en una empresa que al menos cumpla con los estándares básicos de atención al cliente. ¡Mi consejo es que te mantengas alejado!

I ordered 4 bottles of wine for over a hundred euros for delivery to my home Spain, thinking if all went well I would buy more. A week later it hadn't arrived and I was told that there was a 1 digit error in my postcode that had caused the delay but it would be delivered later but that it was resolved. A week later it still had not arrived and I had followed the DHL tracking which resulted in me staying at home for a day when it was due to be delivered. As a result I contacted them again and this time was told that it was impossible to deliver due to the one digit error. I was told that the one digit error was my fault and that as a result they would cancel me and refund me the order less the delivery charges. This seemed an awful way to treat a new customer and I cannot understand how a company that treats customers in this way can stay in business. I will am now looking to buy my wine from a company that at least operates to basic standards of customer service. Stay from Decantalo away is my advice!!

Great. Everything was managed seamlessly

Order was placed on May 27th. On the same day, the estimated delivery date was given as June 6th. On May 28th at 9 a.m., I was informed that the 2018 Pittacum la Prohibición was sold out, but the 2019 vintage was available. I confirmed acceptance of the 2019 vintage immediately.
However, only on the morning of June 3rd, I was informed that the 2019 vintage was also unavailable and would only arrive at the warehouse around June 6th, delaying the entire shipment. I replied immediately, asking for the 11 available bottles to be shipped without waiting, as the wine was intended for a June 10th event.
The response came only on the afternoon of June 4th: “Even if we change the shipping method to DHL Express at our expense, I can’t guarantee the wine will get there before the 10th, since the wines will have to go through customs (as the UK is not part of the EU). I’m really sorry about this. My recommendation would be to cancel the order and issue a refund, so that you can look for the wines in a specialty shop there...” No mention was made of my request to ship what was already in stock.
Had I been told on May 28th that the replacement bottle would only arrive at the warehouse on June 6th, I would have declined it then — and the 11 other bottles could have been shipped immediately and arrived in time.
I’m giving 3 stars only because of the excellent wine selection and fair pricing — those aspects deserve 5 stars. But communication was far below acceptable, and without that strength I would have rated the experience with 1 star.

No communication and poor customer service.
I placed an order on the 27/04/2025 and after nearly a month the status is still unknow. I have sent many enquires on chat and email but i didn't receive any official communication on the status.
On the chat the customer service mentioned that the items are with customs and they will be delivered by the end of the week but the tracking info didn't change and i didn't receive any official emails or comms. I spend £500 and i didn't receive any updates on the status at all. Really poor communications, i will definitely dispute the transaction and claim the money back...

Two seperate orders of 6 bottles made with no fuss, no hassles, fast delivery and no issues with parcel. Will keep shopping here for sure.

I placed a large order of over 100 bottles to fill my new wine cellar. First the suggested delivery date was not met without information. After mailing them I learnt that one of the ordered products was sold out. it happens, but why not informing the customer? After confirming the change in the order the communication went silent again. A reminder was sent and left unanswered until after the delivery. While unpacking I noticed one bottle was missing. When contacting Decántalo, I was asked to provide photo's. Not sure how to confirm a missing bottle from a photo, but I sent them immediately. We're now back in non communication for another week.

I understand handling an incomplete order is based on trust, but I wouldn't be trying to get one extra bottle when ordering 100. Also, they should easily have confirmation from their order handling.

Not sure if I'll be ordering again.

I had to sent multiple reminders until I was offered a credit, a voucher or delivery of the missing bottle. I chose the latter as I figured this would complete the order and I was not sure if I'd order again. Even this took several reminders until the missing bottle was delivered. In all fairness, my order is now complete and I'm happy. I did take a lot more time and effort than needed (and I'm still missing out on the bottle opener that was offered), but in the end I got what I ordered and am enjoying it. The assortment and prices look good, but I really question the after-sales. My conclusion is that all is good with Decántalo unless it is not. [changed from one star to three]

When I made contact with Decantalo with a customer problem I found their customer service very responsive.

These guys are a scam when it comes to ordering for overseas. They refuse to respond to my issue on my order coming to Australia. Zero trust. Scam artists do not use!

I discovered Decantalo when looking for a very specific Rioja. I bought a case and have since ordered a 2nd. I had some difficulty finding specifically what i was looking for - to reorder - you could make that easier though customer service help to find it was good. I suppose if I'm going to gripe a little - the time to deliver to Northern Ireland is a little extreme - however I accept you are in Spain - offering free delivery for an order over £150 so it wouldn't prevent me from ordering again. For clarity I ordered on April 24th and have had a mail from DHL this morning to say they are delivering this afternoon.

the order came quicly but the courier just left the boxes of wine on my doorstep, for anyone to help themselves, when spending this much money, it should not be left outside when no one is home

The ordering and delivery has been a smooth process. Small and large package are well protected (strong box). Delivery through DHL went perfect and quickly.
