I was amazed that by typing a few…

I was amazed that by typing a few words, I could generate a presentation (perhaps that shows my age).
It may not be the best, it may need work, but is a starting point and produced in minutes.
The world is changing quickly and i was truly amazed at what could be done.
I paid the subscription as I wanted to see what what and how quickly it could generate something and to someone over 60, the technology is amazing.
I do think it is a daft name.

The upgrade killed the product, what a disgrace.
The latest upgrade killed the product. My decks no longer usable due to the upgrade. before the upgrade it had its limitations but it was a great product

Don't do it.

Misleading information to get you to sign up.

I double checked on their site that I could download editable PPTs from decktopus.

Of course you can says the FAQ on their website.

Oh no you can't says support when you try to edit a downloaded ppt.

What a gigantic waste of my time.

I'm giving them two stars instead of one as they agreed they had wasted my time and refunded me.

Lesson learned: don't go with a service like this that does not offer a free trial.

Avoid

I needed a quick presentation so paid the subscription. Within a few minutes it became clear that the service is very poor and wouldn't meet my needs. I closed the account within 10 minutes and asked for a refund which they have refused. Avoid

This app is an email bait as there is…

This app is an email bait as there is no free trial to test the platform, so all I tried to do was ask me to upgrade. They offer 20 AI credits, but to try any of the AI features, you need 30 AI credits, really???!!!!

All it is allowed is to create your slides with their templates which you can also do in google. Also, you can not delete your account from their platform, you need to contact them for that. A waste of time.

The latest upgrade killed the product

The latest upgrade killed the product. 2 year's worth of decks no longer usable due to the upgrade. Support was of no help.

4-19-23 Response to the company's comments. I had multiple interactions with the company. The final "tough luck" comment is below. Find a better alternative before the next upgrade screws you over.

DO NOT USE!!!

DO NOT USE!!!! There's not a free trial for a reason. It absolutely sucks and they don't issue any refunds, even if you ask literally 10 minutes after signing up.

I even gave extremely thoughtful and helpful feedback after they asked, then after going back and forth for a WEEK (with me answering feedback questions) they ultimately said 'as per company policy, we can't refund you.'

What a joke. If you knew you weren't going to refund me, say that at the beginning and don't make me waste my time and HELP YOU.

Save your time and money and don't use this software.

WORST GENERATED DECK EVER!

Its like you bought a cat inside a box. You don't know what color is the cat and what type is it.. Like this site, when you want to create a deck, you need a token by subscribing their plans. Well all goes well until i put some money in, The design looks too old, the deck i got is not structured even i got some of the word are big and some are not. I talk to them but their terms are not allowing them to refund me the money because of the FAIRNESS ?? Is it really fair when you want to generate something you'll be asked for a money without giving any example of what will be generated after ?

Not fit for purpose

Upon subscribing to Decktopus I instantly knew that it was not fit for my purpose. I requested a refund in less than seven minutes, which days later was refused by their support team. I’m not surprised Decktopus has only two stars. I’m giving it just one. Disappointing product, worse customer service.

Scam!!

SCAM COMPANY AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

You cannot even try out their service without providing your credit card details and subscribing to their whopping Pro plan that costs $14.99 a month. What's outrageous is that they won't refund the payment even if you have not used ANY of the credits. This is way out of business standards if you ask me. DO NOT BE SCAMMED INTO IT!

When I asked about refund, they simply told me that they have it in their terms and conditions and had me agree to it that its non-refundable. FACT: on their Stripe checkout page it shows "Cancel anytime", and I could not find any wording that states "NOT REFUNDABLE".

I did not like a thing about Decktopus's service as well (why would I have asked for a refund soon after purchase?). They sell themselves as an AI presentation generator, but I did not find it useful for my purposes. It seems they just have some sort of template and then fill in some images and text (probably generated with chatGPT). It's more of a template provider not an "AI" presentation generator.
