The discount codes system works well and is very simple to navigate. My experience was a little sketchy when I had an issue getting a shopping card (John Lewis).
Initially, the click-through link did not work. I called the useful 24hr Rewards Gateway/Voucher Shop and was given some information that turned out to be wrong.
I sent an enquiry to Customer Services (support ticket 975678) to try to get some clarity. This worked out, but it took 2 weeks to get my reply. Not good.
All-in-all, this is a worthy service and I'm glad that I have it. Faster responses to emails would make it great.
A quick solution and help from John and Tracy when I had problems with my card/account they even managed to change my email address all done stress free

I had a tech access problem that proved difficult to resolve. Customer service wasn't able to immediately resolve it. They were helpful and suggestive of alternative approaches to resolve the issue. Took a while and we got there in the end. The inconvenience was acknowledged and accommodated, for which I am grateful. Very polite and useful interactions with John throughout. Thank you.

Helpful people. Eventually discovered that the card may be used 12 times only within any three month period. Given that, the Defence Discount card is really not as useful as I had hope. My mistake.

Although there are a large number of firms & places where one can obtain a discount, I as an 85 year old find that that the ones I really would like are not available. Not really into buying clothes, holidays, theme parks etc these days. I have found that there is limited appeal for me, but it does provide a good range of discounts for those who can use them and I would therefore recommend DDS.

I received my physical card on 21 April, only to have my digital access withdrawn without cause on 24 April. Since then, I have been trapped in a "support loop" where tickets are ignored, and new complaints just generate more ignored tickets (#959516, #965063).
What makes this unacceptable is that this is the official MOD-endorsed service. The MOD grants this contract to Blue Light Card Ltd at "nil cost" on the condition that they support the Armed Forces community and return a percentage of profits to service charities. By taking my membership fee and then "ghosting" me for a week while their website remains a broken mess of redirects, they are failing the very community the MOD pays/trusts them to serve.
To top it off, their only listed phone number currently resolves as a tackle shop.
This isn't just a technical glitch; it's a systemic failure of a government-contracted service.
Note to the DDS Team:
Please skip the copy-paste "contact us" response. I have already contacted you, Reward Gateway, and the MOD Covenant team. I don't need yet another ticket number for you to hide behind.

i sent an email with my problem. my card was delaminating. got a stand reply with a ticket number. waited a couple of days. then got a agent named ( lorenzo ). replied to his questions with one email.
problem sorted new card on the way.
No issues or problems all sorted straight forward.

I’ve renewed my membership again but was having difficulty with the process. The support I received from Tracy was excellent and with her quick responses and help I managed to resolve my payment issues. The issue turned out to be my browser and nothing to do with the process. Great customer service and well deserved 5*
