Request for improvement almost ignored.
The platform does not show actual stock price after market closure eg Nasdaq. This influences your balance heavily. Trust in a broker depends on showing actual stock prices and as customer to be able to act with the proper information. Winners Losers are often not shown in right order. Very disappointing customer approach after several requests for adjustments.

Decent platform trouble to withdraw
Decent platform, good to reach out by phone in English when needed.
I was afraid of being a scam since I could not withdraw money over the last 4 months. I did it now for the first time since I opened my account 6 months ago.
Good data and insights, but after such a struggle to withdraw (I literally tried several times), I don’t trust it enough to put more money on it.

Reliable and user-friendly investment platform
I have been using DEGIRO for about five years now, and my experience has been very positive.
At first sight, the platform may seem a little complex, especially for beginners, but after some time it becomes clear, logical, and very user-friendly. This applies both to the web platform and the mobile app.

I've been with DeGiro since 2019
I've been with DeGiro since 2019, because it was the easiest broker to open being in the Netherlands. At that time, there were free ETFs and the transaction costs were great.
As years passed by, they became rather expensive, compared to other brokers, especially if you buy US Stocks with EUR and you have the exchange rate fees.
The platform hasn't evolved much through the years, compared to what other platforms are offering. I cannot see even a simple YTD portfolio performance, not to say yearly or previous year performance or having any sort of benchmarks.
I am now moving away from DeGiro, because I changed countries in 2023 and due to a technical problem from their side, I was paying 30% dividend tax, instead of 10% due to the treaty between US and my country. While I had it submitted, an error on their side had me pay 30% for years, without letting me know of this technical error from their side. I had submitted my W8, it was accepted successfully, but I still paid 30%. And their response was: "This is a technical constraint, not a policy decision, and we recognize this situation is not ideal."
I am now moving to another broker and the customer support is very slow. They are not giving me a confirmation, nor getting in touch with my other broker of choice. The overall customer support response time is extremely slow as well + not sufficiently detailed. I had to exchange a few emails, until they finally gave me a clear explanation of my W8-BEN situation, which was completely different from their first 2 responses.
So yes, I am rather frustrated and after 7 years, the company hasn't evolved. I even feel scammed for 3 years paying 20% more dividend tax with them. If you are in one of their supported countries and just want to buy ETFs without ever looking into the platform - that's the only time I'd recommend it.
