Stale food and hair in my cake
I was relatively happy when i got my order and just had a couple issues with some products that despite not being reduced tasted dry and stale (the best before date was fine I’m not sure how that happened and don’t want to think about it), until i opened one of my pan di stelle merendina and took a bite and a whole curly light brown hair came out of it. I spent £70 on my order and i was so disgusted by the hair that i found half way through eating my merendina that i immediately threw the rest away. I was gagging so bad because of how utterly disgusted i was. I would rate it one star but i acknowledge that this is someone’s business and don’t want to affect ratings too badly but this was actually disgusting.

Just to clarify: Delicatezza is an importer and distributor — we don’t manufacture the products ourselves. We’re happy to liaise with the brand directly for you, but it’s important that issues like this are flagged so we can take appropriate steps.
You also mentioned being “relatively happy” with the rest of your order. Since our service covers pricing, packing, and delivery — all of which seem to have gone well — it feels a little disheartening to receive a 2-star review based solely on one product fault.

Great products, great company
I placed an order a few weeks ago then had to change the delivery date at short notice. Delicatezza emailed me back immediately and let me know the dates available, I was impressed that they were willing to do this for me.
My order arrived today, exactly to the timescale given. Clear and updated information given every step of the way.
Items were very well packaged. Cannot wait to try the products received.
This was my second order, I have been recommending to family and friends.

Fantastico!
I’ve become slightly obsessed with ordering from this company! Everything we’ve tried has been absolutely delicious, packed extremely well and is exceptionally priced.
The sausages with fennel are a staple in my house now, as are the Lavazza coffee sweets and the cannoli shells (so cheap/easy to make the filling).
We really look forward to ‘Italiano’ delivery day!

If you have ordered a product that is running out of date you will be reminded on your delivery note.
Once upon a time every time I went to Italy which normally is 4 times a year I used to bring back my italian products I don't need to do that anymore

I have used them many times during the last year or so as I live in North Lincs and it is impossible to find genuine Italian fresh food, of the excellent quality, here.
They are so very helpful as I had to cancel one order. They also were extremely helpful just before Xmas when I needed to change the order

Italian living in the uk
I'm an italian living in the UK and I've been searching for a good italian grocery delivery service.
I live pretty far from them(in scotland) but I received always(I've done 3 orders so far) everything in excellent conditions!
After the first 2 orders with biscuits and pasta I've orders some fresh food also and when I took it out of the box it looks like just picked from the fridge. Absolutely great!

We order from Delicatezza once a month - fresh produce like ricotta, Burrata and salsiccia, as well as staples like farina 00, Mulino Bianco Biscotti and our favourite Doriano crackers. They have lots of offers on and we always get an extra 20% discount by following them on Facebook or sent straight to email. The products always arrive on time and are well packed, though I would say they need to pack the crackers and biscuits with more care because we have had a few arrive in bits recently - hence the 4 star review. Improve your packaging Delicatezza and I’ll give you cinque stelle 🌟 The delivery companies aren’t always careful with parcels, so maybe Delicatezza, you need to put ‘fragile’ on your boxes and pack things on the presumption that the delivery company may not handle with the necessary care.
The dates on the fresh food are very good and, as you’d expect, usually 2 weeks in the case of their fresh cheeses like Ricotta, Burrata and stracchino, all of which are excellent quality and super fresh when they arrive.
Some of the products are a bit on the overpriced side, especially as you can get some of them or an equivalent of equal quality in British supermarkets, but the import charges are always passed down to the customer.
Whenever I’ve had reason to call the company, they’ve been very polite and helpful and always resolved any issues. Also, if they’ve run out of something they do their best to replace it with a similar product and contact you before they send it out to check it’s ok, they don’t just replace it and send it regardless, so when it arrives the customer knows there’s a replacement and isn’t disappointed.
All my past experiences with Delicatezza have been positive, and the delivery issues aren’t their problem and belong in a different review.
Highly recommend.

The products dates are very short. Don't buy online guys
The products are original but the expiry date it very short. They should write it what dates the have on. Honestly not acceptable. I dnt have big family but my small 2 kids eat snacks so i orders 2 and 3 packs of some biscuits. First time i ordered from here and look what the date is 21/05 then june then September and last nov of this year. You doing wrong of sending people products that you taking off from shelves soon, or because the products its not selling. I have paid and dnt want to throw in the bin because they expire soon.

We want to reassure you that we never intentionally send out products close to expiry unless they’re clearly marked as discounted for that reason (e.g. in our Fresh Reductions section). In general, our snacks and biscuits have several months of shelf life remaining, and we work hard to rotate stock appropriately. Many of our customers actually appreciate that we offer authentic imported products with realistic use-by dates, rather than over-processed goods with long lifespans.
That said, your experience matters — and we’d be happy to take a closer look if you reach out directly. We’d never want a first-time order to feel disappointing, and we’d love the chance to make it right.

Received food near the expiry date again. They should pay more attention in this, it is not the first time and I am very upset now.
Also the delivery driver left the parcel under the sun without even knocking the door. I saw the parcel when the delivery driver from Amazon knocked the door. Shame
