Late processing
Late processing, bad customer service, and they applied fees to me when they messed up and refused to fix it. Only thing they have going for them is their app which still isn’t amazing

Best starter credit card for a student
As an international student in the US, this was the only credit card I could get. And the experience till now has been fantastic. I once had someone committing fraud using my credit card and Deserve was very quick in looking into and rectifying the issue. They also continuously increased my card limit based on my good credit quality. The reason I am not giving a 5 star is because the card did not work internationally despite me activating the international use in the Deserve app. They later rectified the issue but I almost got turned away from a hotel in the Carribean because of the card issue.

Good for international students
I've had a Deserve credit card for 3ish years now and I haven't had any problems yet. The cashback is a little low (1%), but overall Deserve is a much better option than what you would usually get if you're an international student or otherwise don't have a SSN. They also seem relatively generous about how often and how much they'll increase your credit limit if you never miss a payment, as I have. Would recommend.

Barebones card
Barebones card, they tend to start with low limits, it would be nice to have cashback categories such as dining and groceries, things that students would use to be more competitive and stand out compared to other student cards.

To potentially be eligible for product upgrades in the future, customers must have been with Deserve for at least 12 months and have been following the suggested tips below:
- Stay under the given credit limit
- Make on time monthly payments
- Make payments greater than the minimum payment or pay off the statement balance in full each month
- Keep up on all other financial responsibilities

This is the worst credit card provider…
This is the worst credit card provider that I have ever seen, they don’t care anything about their customer and maintain the worst customer service ever. I have made ‘n’ number of service requests but there was no one who cared for my concerns. I struggled hard to maintain my credit and got my limit raised to a pretty good amount. But all of a sudden when I stopped using their credit card for a couple of months as the card never worked (which I got nothing to do with, I have made requests for a new credit card but they never have sent one), then all of a sudden they reduced the credit limit to a meagre $300 which is totally rude and sick on their part. I have emailed their CEO about the cheap service but even that guy they never cared.

My initial approved limit is 800$. I mean seriously, other credit card companies offerings are way above the limit you guys offered. I am not even student.

-Stay under your credit limit
-Make your monthly payments on time and greater than the minimum payment or even paying off your statement balance in full.
-Keep up on your other financial responsibilities. Our credit health is also based on activity beyond your Deserve card.
-Please make sure to link your bank account on your dashboard to make yourself eligible for a review for a credit limit increase.
Following these steps will trigger an upgrade in our system for a credit line increase after six months.
