Avoid this shop unless you are buying for a home you are in already. We were in the process of moving home and needed a sofa for the new house. With DFS’s ‘bespoke made to order’ service we decided it was best to order in advance of us getting the keys to the new house. The saleswomen assured us if the house was to fall through as long as we has a letter from the solicitor confirming it wasn’t our fault we could get a refund. Utter b******t. When the purchase of the house fell through DFS were uninterested. They just kept hounding my wife asking when they could deliver. They consistently went with the warehouse was getting a refurb so they needed the stock out nonsense. It transpires there was of course no warehouse refurb. Sounds like they pull that line on the regular unless they get their warehouse refurbed every 6 months. If it was up to me I would have told them to shove their deposit but they put fear into my wife that we could end up in court for breach of contract. Now we have a new unwanted sofa crammed into my wife’s elderly grandmothers spare room because we have no where else to store it. Thanks for the terrible service DFS Carlisle. My advice, buy your sofa from elsewhere.

DFS made buying a sofa easy. They stood back when I needed them to and allowed my to make choices in my own time. The member of staff then processing the purchase was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Having had a previous bad experience with another company, DFS made buying a sofa a pleasure.

The easiest purchase ever, walked in seen the sofa we liked and Robyn the sales lady spoke to us as we walked in then asked how we were getting on whilst we were sat on the sofa we liked! We had a long informative conversation about the style, leather type etc and we were sold on that sofa so ordered it! Couldn’t have been easier!
