A lovely greeting by Staff member Aaliyah, no pressure by her and allowed to roam the department and saying she was free to help with any questions we had. We settled on our chosen sofa but asked if she could tell us the things she could offer us to help us make up our mind. She was very helpful and emailed us everything we decided on that would be best for us but we left and told her we needed to think it over. On returning to our car my husband said we should go back and order as Aaliyah had said if we ordered we had time to cancel our order if it wasn’t for us. We sat to exchange information, Aaliyah was very polite throughout and explained everything, - payment plans, cleaning kits and terms of extending guarantee etc. we were very pleased with our sofa and how Aaliyah explained everything- she even offered us a rug for £29 because we had brought the sofa today - so that was a surprise bonus. Very pleased indeed and then Aaliyah offered us hot refreshments too which we did not decline. Fab experience visiting DFS Merryhill today and 10 out of 10 for Aaliyah being so down to earth , helpful and making this such a lovely visit that I usually find daunting

Extremely disappointed with the service…
Extremely disappointed with the service I've received from DFS.
After spending around £5,000 on sofas, I expected much better communication and customer service. My delivery was confirmed for today, and when I called the day before because I hadn't received a delivery time slot, I was reassured that I would receive one and that my sofas were definitely out for delivery.
Today, after hearing nothing, I contacted DFS again only to be told the warehouse said my sofas weren't out for delivery after all. I'm now expected to wait up to 72 hours for an update.
I'm currently pregnant and got rid of my old sofas because I was relying on the confirmed delivery date. I have now been left with no sofas in my home, which has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience.
I was also uncomfortable with my experience in store. A staff member, Aaliyah, behaved towards my husband in a way that I felt was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable.
Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience from start to finish. I hope DFS takes this complaint seriously and puts things right, including offering appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and poor service.

Update on my review the pictures I have shows what you are paying for when you buy furniture from DFS merry hill. Rubbish used to make furniture cheap from abroad. As I can't upload pics I can't show you. Don't waste your money the 15 year warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.The manager told me not to sit on the chair for long time what a comment.

I can completely understand your concerns if the goods received were not as anticipated, this is very disappointing to hear.
I have looked at your order and completely understand your frustration. As your items do come with certain warranties when a fault is highlighted our service engineers will aim for a first touch resolution every time. Our service engineers are upholstered by trade and all repairs are done to a factory standard.
The 15 year warranty covers you for frame and springs however unfortunately the issue raised with your furniture is to do with your interiors. We would always repair if a fault is found but unfortunately on this occasion no manufacturing fault was found with your furniture, apologies again for any inconvenience this may cause.
