I used to sell software with Digital River...

I used to sell software with Digital River (previously ShareIt) for ~16 years... The recent changes they introduced were like a kick in the a**.

First of all delay in payments - instead of 2 weeks since month end they extended it to two months, so payment for July sales is pending 30th of September, etc. I was informed about it a couple of days after the normal 14 day period has passed. Interestingly the account summary still stated that the payment is due in 14 days, they just did not act accordingly to own statement. Well, but that's just one example of such behavior recently.

Secondly, they added an extra fee of $100 per month, on top of the margin they take for the sales... which btw they increased for me at some point from 8.9% to 9.4% without annexing the agreement, or even notification. The agreement said the margin is selected upon registration - well, I selected 8.9%. Doesn't matter... they corrected that in the new agreement that "I already signed" a month into the future.

Additionally, they also set the minimum payment to $2500. For me it looks like they need to have some free credit. I am not going to be the last one on that ship.

Everything went wrong with this…

Everything went wrong with this incorporation. I started doing mission online but there was an issue where my mission was not completed on the appointed time. Knowing my experience is not extensive, they still demanded large sums of funds as penalty- with the assurance all will be paid back but it's almost three months and not a single penny is paid. I have tried many times to contact the customer services on both numbers: +49... but they seem to be playing hide/seek with me. And my money is still stuck with them on the platform as 'PENDING'. I would appreciate if somebody from the customer service or whoever, could release my money. At least show some dignity and human compassion. I really hope and pray this is not another internet scam but a dignified incorporated firm with principles at least.
Who is Vic Pacor? The customer service claims this person is one of the management who signed the letter for my funds to be released after another huge demand of funds. With so many negative reviews about 80%, the board management should step in to clear this negative vibe- unless they couldn't be bothered because they're still enjoying their paychecks and bonuses, till the ocean fills up eventually. Then they will feel the loss.

I was looking at my paypay account

I was looking at my paypay account, I noticed 2 payments taken for Digital River. The first one was on 17/09/24 the second was on 18/09/24. Both payments for 49.99 euros. Never heard of this company, and never got an email or anything regarding this. These payments have been taken out unlawfully because I certainty didn't order them. Its just a scam

Just received an email from Digital River to an name and address that I use to SPAM catch. Making out that I contacted them.

Cannot believe they would stoop so low as to purchase an illegal email database then use it to SPAM people without permission.

Became a scam

Became a scam.

I was using MyCommerce/Digital River/ShareIt for many years as a software vendor to accept payments from my customers.

Unilaterally began to worsen the conditions. First, they increased the commission without clear notice.

Then they delayed payment, and after a claim they said they would now delay payment for two months as per the contract. Further deterioration in the terms of the contract followed and payment was never made.

In fact, they stopped making payouts and there is no support, except for the bot response.

Waiting 2-3 months to get paid

I've been happily using Digital River for many years to handle the payments for the software I sell online.
Recently they have changed the way they forward the payments. Instead of two weeks I have to wait more than 2 months (!) before they send me the money that my customers paid for my software. They didn't even give me a notice. So basically I'm now two months without an income.
The revenue I made in July will only be paid in the beginning of October. Imagine the company you work for waits two months before paying you.
This is totally unacceptable.

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company. Don't know why other companies use them as a third party supplier.

We renewed our Autodesk licenses and despite proving that we had paid in full they insist on charging us an additional £200+ for a 'transaction fee'.

Refuse to call to discuss over the phone despite several requests to get it sorted quicker.

Refuse to issue us a new invoice to match the additional fee they are charging us so our accounts won't match either.

STAY WELL CLEAR.

Digital river online agent scam

Digital river hire contract agent to boost their sale review. Agent get a percentage of the sale price. Agents pays the price first. Seems a nice way to earn from us poor online workers. But in the end it just scams our money until we can't get it back at all. Thousand of savings is gone. And the recruiter or senior agents encourages us to be in debt just to get the promised percentage which ranges from 3% until it can get multiplied by "packages".

I was redirected to this website after an eBay purchase

I was redirected to this website through an eBay purchase.

I purchased an item on eBay as I normally would, but realized after a little while that I never received a confirmation email from eBay, and the item was not showing up under my purchases on my eBay app. I used my PayPal to purchase the item so I checked that next and saw a change for $148 to “digital river inc” which I thought was strange. The initial purchase through eBay was for an item totally $90, but I was charged $148 without any warning beforehand. I tried to contact customer service through this digital river website, but there is no means to do so. The phone number that they provide is not in service, and when emailing it just responds with the typical automated message that leads you nowhere. More importantly, the eBay user that I purchased this through is called “saisaf_1”, and this user has reviews on their account (97.5 overall feedback perfect) so the seller seems like a genuine account.

So not only was I charged way more then I agreed to pay, but the seller has been ghosting me since purchase. This is a total scam and it leads back to this digital river inc website which has to be tied to this eBay account somehow. Please beware as this has caused my money to be tied up for days. PayPal has to go through the dispute process which takes at least 10 days, and that’s after the fact that I was completely ripped off and have more than enough proof to show it.

This has been a nightmare and this company is responsible for it. I’m just hoping I’m able to get my money back and will definitely make sure to check future eBay purchases much more carefully, if I even continue to use the app at all. This has pretty much ruined any experience or trust that I have in any seller. Avoid at all costs

Bait and switch scammer

This company deals with a group of shady software subscription companies that bait and switch then tell you that you have to contact one company (software company) to ask for a refund and then the software company tells you to contact this company. The software never works (you don't know that until after you buy it) then they want to charge you $30+ per month as a subscription. On top of this theyt request money from your account the day before your payment is due. They invoiced me and took money on August 7th but everything is dated August 8th. This is not the first time I've delt with this terrible company.

No way to contact

Paypal gives an email address to contact them. The autoreply gives a link with no way to contact them. You have to log in but I don't have an account to log in with!
Ti need to search for your order but to do that you need a number. I don't have one as it is a subscription. I've had it for years but thought I cancelled it.
But they took payment. The vendor doesn't reply. I've cancelled again. And devauthorised on paypal. Just getting nowhere.
