A) Holding stock – So many places these days do not which means big lead times.

B) For delivering without damaging the products. There wasn’t a single mark on the doors. That’s rare these days. A lot of deliveries over the years of doing up this house has meant excepting a small amount of damage I can work around or sending it back…. so thankyou for your care.

D) the delivery guy from DX Express was brilliant.

Amazing doors which looks beautiful.

Amazing doors which looks beautiful.
Our builders messed up the installation (their fault nothing to do with direct doors) and Direct Doors were so helpful and assisted us in procuring replacement parts giving advice and how to repair what our builders broke. Thank you to Emma in particular!

Great service and after-care

Its been a few years since we had a new front door fitted by Stevie at Direct Doors but we inexplicably had a wee problem which turned out to be nothing but a loose piece of beading which prevented proper closure. Direct Doors could not have been more helpful and we managed to fix without a call out. Excellent after care available if required.

Before you order from this company ensure you order correct size as seems very difficult to change once done.

Great Customer Service

I made an enquiry on 11 October about a delivery date for door ordered 24 September. To my amazement I was told the bespoke door and frame ready and by 14 October delivered to my home! Initially, when ordering, the delivery would be 9-11 weeks so I was totally impressed by the speed and efficiency of the service provided. My Builders are yet to build stud wall to shower room, so have not seen my bespoke door unpacked. Can't wait.

Bought new internal doors for my old…

Bought new internal doors for my old house and they were fantastic. Such great quality and arrived when they said they would. I made a slight error with sizes but rectified this by a quick call and they sorted it there and then. Great experience. Would definitely recommend direct doors

Bad experience with delivery

I had never got a call from delivery person at 7.15 in the morning, before this delivery. This is not the customer experience I was expecting. I am moving houses and I had clearly mentioned to arrange for delivery after 9.30/ Anyway first time I missed my delivery, I had to pay an extra 10% of the item cost to reattempt delivery. And the driver again came to the address at 8.15. After some calls, the item was delivered at 10.00. To their credit Deanta did manage to deliver at a convenient time and were quite understanding. So no qualms dealing with Deanta.

I purchased from DirectDoors and their customer service is simply pathetic. I think they just have sales people manning customer issues. But never dealing with DirectDoors again.

Having looked into this, I can see Deanta initially contacted you to book in the delivery dates, however, the first delivery was missed as you have explained.

I can see that my colleague Bradley dealt with this and reading the emails between Bradley and yourself, I am not sure what more he could have done to assist you with this.

We are informed of the delivery date(s) by Deanta which they discuss directly with you. I can see that you had requested the re-delivery for after 9.30am which Bradley passed onto Deanta however, it was made clear that specific times cannot be guaranteed.

Fabulous product, poorly packaged, lousy courier, draconian T&Cs.

Bought 6 doors for downstairs, but my fitter was ill so took a while before we unpacked them. Found one door damaged which was unsurprising as the packaging protection is non-existent - just wrapped in a sheet of plastic. Customers only have 24-48 hours to report damage so ended up fitting a damaged door. A year later, ordered another 8 doors, same again, one door damaged, too late to complain. Also courier never called to arrange delivery and tried to deliver to the wrong address 3 times. If you buy doors from this company, it is likely they will arrive damaged so I recommend as soon as they arrive, take a photo and report them as damaged even if you haven't found anything. That way if you find something during fitting, you can return them. You have been warned. Message to Direct Doors: your T&C's are crazy - you need to change them. Finding damage during fitting has to be a common scenario but is unlikely to be within 24-48 hours. Nearly all the one-star reviews on Trust Pilot are about your T&Cs. This is 2024. The game has changed - its all about Customer Service. Compare this to Amazon where I bought a battery powered Dyson vacuum cleaner. The battery life was rubbish so I bought a spare battery for £100, but it was still awful. We struggled for 10 months then I decided enough-was-enough. Amazon gave me a full refund even after 10 months usage and the item wasn't even faulty. Or the bespoke jewellery I bought, made with my daughters initials, and the company have changed their returns policy last year to allow me to return bespoke products and I got a full refund. This would be like you giving me a refund for a bespoke door you'd had made, after I'd cut it down and fitted it, then used it for 10 months. You are far away from this, but you'd certainly have me singing your praises from the rooftops. Its a proven strategy (M&S, John Lewis etc). You don't manufacture the doors, your only offering is the retail experience. A customer with a resolved issue ends up your best advocate (retailing 101). Hiding behind draconian T&Cs is bad business (and actually your T&Cs are not lawful, I have 30 days to report damaged goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015). Amazon are going to wipe you out (which may be no bad thing). How long before LPD Doors put their stuff on Amazon and cut you out completely? To be fair Kiera tried hard to resolve issues but quoted T&Cs - that should be a last resort - seize the chance to create an advocate. (I did finally get the second damaged door replaced). £5k for new interior doors and you expect me to be happy with damaged doors because of some fine print on your website? You cannot be serious.

Door was delivered damaged

Door was delivered damaged. The top left hand corner was completely blown, but arrived covered with a cardboard corner protector so we didn't see it until it was unwrapped by our fitter one week later. the company have hidden behind an obscure T & C that absolves them of any responsibility. £300 down the drain!
Very poor customer service.

Dear Sir,

After the pre-booking of the delivery date on the said date of 15/08/24 you were not at the property for the delivery so asked the driver to leave the door at the side of the house, you contacted us 8 x days later to say water damage at the corner of the door.

We explained that as per our terms you have had more than sufficient time to check the door and especially after the door being left outside as per your request and we cannot be held responsible for water damage that was not there when our driver delivered and photographed the door after delivery.

Great service

Impressed with their speed and customer service. They originally shipped the wrong panels but Bradley in the sales team sorted it out quickly. Would order again in the future and would recommend to others.

Wrong parts sent and zero chance of them helping resolve it!

We ordered double sliding doors and had to wait a few weeks for a joiner to come fit them. We checked everything was there but when the joiner came to fit the door it became apparent that one of the runners was a different size. Customer service was terrible and not only did they try to blame me for not realising on delivery but they also suggested it had been “squished” a solid metal bracket!! Our joiner also tried to explain but they suggested it was a fitting issue. Joiner explained he has 29 years experience. He also sent photos as proof but as of yet we still only have one door up. One of the doors also has strap marks indented into it but they refused to replace it. Avoid!!

In response to the below. We did check that all items were supplied and there was no way of knowing that they would not fit until the joiner attempted to fit it. It was the wrong size and not easy to spot to the untrained eye. Also the damaged door has not been mentioned.

As you will know it has been myself and my colleague Kiera who has been dealing with your concerns.
We clearly state on our website to check all goods within 48 hours of delivery and any issues must be reported to us immediately. It is clearly stated to not book in any joiner or carpenter until all items have been received and checked.
The goods were delivered to you in April and nothing was reported to us until yesterday. As we do with any issues, we request it in writing and images so, we can investigate this further.
As we have mentioned on numerous occasions, the issue you raised is not a problem we have ever had before.
We finally received the photos today and although we requested some additional information, we have managed to source a replacement which will be dispatched on Monday.

*UPDATED REPLY*
As mentioned previously, we have now arranged for a replacement to be dispatched today which should be with you this week.

You did mention the damaged door over the phone and as I advised that due to the time in which the door has been out of our care, we would not be able to offer a replacement on this occasion.

Shelton Door Lever Handles

I ordered 4 Chelsea 4-pane doors and 4 Shelton Door Lever handle packs. The handles have given me so much trouble. When they arrived, 2 of the latches were incorrectly send. These were replaced but I had to first send them back, pay for the postage and was then later reimbursed. Not a great start but it's fine these things happen. The doors also came damaged but I never complained about these as I needed to get them fitted because we just had a kitchen extension done and were running on tight timelines.

When the doors were fitted by the carpenter he had problems with the handles, they were very wobbly. The are slim line and they don't attach to the doors at all with screws like other handles. Both handles are screwed to the spindle by a small grub screw. This seems to me to be a terrible design. After sending them numerous videos I sent them then handles for them to test. They said there were no issues even though I got 2 different carpenters at my cost to install them. Both agreed they were a terrible design.

After many more conversations and back and forth with video's, they agreed for me to send them back and sent out new ones. I actually don't think they were new at all as you could see the black paint had come off on some of the handles. At this stage I really didn't care much anymore as I was so fed up.

Out of four handles one of them is less wobbly then the others. After 6 months I tried to clean one of the handles with a little bit of washing up liquid as it was sticky and the black paint has peeled off!! Like I said before, these handles are terrible and should not be sold as they are not fit for purpose.

The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because Customer Services have tried to help and I appreciate that but I cannot give these handles any stars at all.

I have a lovely new extension but the door handles have ruined the final touch and is so embarrassing. I cannot even replace the handles with anything else as they have said none of the handles will fit the hollow door so I am stuck with them until I change all the doors!

The handles have given me more stress then all the building work and digging of foundations ever gave me.

I do apologise, once again, for the incorrect latches being sent initially.

We sell over 300 of these handles each month and do not have any issues. I can confirm that when the handles / latches were returned, we picked brand new ones to be sent out to you. I believe they were from new stock which had been delivered into our warehouse as opposed to the current stock the original order was picked from.

Please note, are not hollow. They have an engineered solid core however, due to the narrow rails and stiles, you can only use slimline ironmongery as opposed to standard latches / handles.
