An online order was coming from…

An online order was coming from Melbourne to bendigo ( an hour and a half away). It went from Melb through bendigo to Wagga Wagga, onto Sydney, back through Bendigo and then to Melbourne. It went through Bendigo twice and never got dropped off to the depot here. Customer Service logged an investigation which was never followed up. Still waiting for my package to be tracked so I can at least see where it's gone now. Very frustrated and would never recommend this company.

Direct Freight Express (DEVONPORT TAS)…

Direct Freight Express (DEVONPORT TAS) is the worst courier in Tasmania, packages arrived into there depot and was to be delivered on the 22nd, 25klm from there depo, packages was delivered on 29th. Customer support was shameful, asked when to expect the packages, and she would not even pick up the phone and ask them. customer service is nothing like the recorded message on the phone, we deliver on time they said…. They don’t deserve to be called a business…..

Incapable of delivering correctly

If I could give zero or less, I would.

If possible, avoid this company. Driver won’t deliver to the top of the driveway, and rudely tells you to move it yourself. Yes, the driveway is steep, however have had many other large trucks back up and deliver without incident.

This driver didn’t even attempt to do so.

parcel scanned into Darwin depot on the…

parcel scanned into Darwin depot on the 16th June, wouldn't deliver to my delivery address because it's a Post Office, and I've seen them deliver there numerous times, can't deliver to another address without senders authority, authority given with new address,25th June was told that it has been forwarded to another freight company for delivery,6pm 28th June,we don't know what has happened to your parcel, They certainly haven't lived up to the name of Direct,(which it hasn't)freight Express (12day) it's a Friday and they don't know where it is

Had a parcel dropped off on the 28th by…

Had a parcel dropped off on the 28th by this company where I live is government housing now house across has got workmen rerenavating they dropped it off in my driveway and drove away didn't ring the doorbell didn't drop it off behind the 8 foot fence to lazy to open the gate so this guy drops it off in plain view of workmen and passes by and I don't know how long it was there and you won't see it unless you leave the house so I lost 1 whole box these couriers need their head read he may as well have dropped it off on the side of the road but they don't care it's not theirs I urge anybody doing business with this mob to think again their no good I've had nothing but problems with them

Very Poor Service

We have been waiting on a delivery that was supposed to be here 4 days ago. Today they said that they would be here by 1.30 pm - they still have not delivered. I would not use them and have recommended that our supplier no longer use them too.

Fast but are their delivery drivers able to read numbers...?

Tracking info said my parcel was delivered and signed by me, I did not have the parcel and it was no where to be found. Customer service tried to be helpful, but solved nothing. Turns out the delivery driver sent the parcel to THE WRONG ADDRESS, signed on my behalf, and caused a sh!t ton of unnecessary commotion because of one person's error. Absurdly incompetent.

They Delivered

We live just out of town, use couriers a lot for delivery. There is one big company which just never ever delivers. In contrast, Direct freight brought our package on time, undamaged, to the door. Seems this is how a courier company should operate

Packages left in Garden and delivered damaged

My two packages were clearly labelled by the sender as GLASS - FRAGILE - HANDLE WITH CARE, but my items were thrown into the garden and the box was crushed. It's like they didn't even get out of the truck but threw the packages into the garden. I know it's Christmas and they are busy but they don't care about your items. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Worst ever

It’s ridiculous that when trying to contact their customer service you have to listen on repeat how they always deliver things on time to the right place and track them every step of the way.
Because in short they first sent my parcel to Melbourne instead of Brisbane and then lost it while redirecting and obviously it hasn’t arrived. Honestly the worst carrier in Aus and I’m sorry for the businesses that use their services.

worst customer service. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS

after tracking my package online I seen they tried to deliver my package twice, both times after 5pm and with zero contact in between to try and understand why they were not able to deliver. I called them and spoke with an extremely rude and unpleasant operator who I advised that the delivery can happen any day but it needs to be before 2.30pm, she rudely said that they can not guarantee this and the delivery has been rebooked, without offering any alternative options. I am yet to receive the delivery and will not be surprised if they again try and deliver after 5pm. there was no offer to book delivery on a day they could arrive before 2.30, leave the package in a safe location, call on arrival, all things that every other transport company I have dealt with would offer.

Their hold music only made my laughable experience more comical

Paid for an express service of 4 items with less than 1KM of transport. Items immediately went missing leading to 4 days of back and forth on the phone to them 'having the items' then 'not having the items', 'holding the items for me at the depot' to 'putting the items on a truck but not knowing what truck' - i was looking around for Ashton Kutcher thinking i was being Punked by the absolute mess they made of the situation and how awfully they delt with the issue. On hold for a minimum of 18 mins every call having to listen to their commitment to getting things to "the right place at the right time". Situation was finally escalated to the team leader who proceeded to tell me that my items were not lost and to stop saying that they were 'lost', they just didn't know where they were.... Awful customer service, extremely rude and no care.

Worst delivery company, lost package, no updates, no follow up support and when i alled to find out where my package was i was met with a very rude and unhelpful customer service team, overall not worth using in future

Seems all the reviews are true testimony here.
DF did not advise me time of arrival and only Auto Emails the delivery due date (nice one, their customers are treated as having no life). They assume their customers are excited and satisfied to wait all day. There was No notification if the driver was on the way (that's a luxury service I guess).
Anyway, this driver was content to letter box drop as no one is home for that 1 minute. (Naturally their convenience comes first) so passes all the work to me to reschedule another 1minute driver by.
They did not text me or call whilst at drop location (Nice). Too costly I guess.
I Called the 1300347397 to find out why this oversight. Phone Staff could not assist or was so used to these calls- so just told me her (training mantra) to wait for following day's delivery. Once again No time provided, no priority given after failed delivery. No apologies as it's assumed my fault. Hey, this must be a lucrative business as no one seems to care/bothered enough to do anything for upset customers. As Not many people lodge complaints this is in their favour I guess. This is because they know we are time poor and we actually DO HAVE A LIFE.

Started worryingly, ended wonderfully.

I just received a parcel couriered by Direct Freight Express. Delivery was fairly prompt despite the delay caused by tracking down the parcel. I have to say the email contact from the company and their tracking website were wonderful. Notifications received anytime anything happened to the package. The link in the email that takes you to tracking is also brilliant with easy to understand tracking information and a contact number on the top right that actually let me speak with a real person without having to wait long at all. The telephone service people were amazingly helpful and friendly and arranged then rearranged for my parcel to come when it suited me. The delivery driver actually followed instructions perfectly and even left my parcel safely in a way no other delivery ever has that lets me open my door without the parcel blocking my exit (I was so impressed by this seemingly simple action that actually requires forethought and brain cells). One star deducted for the first attempted delivery that I somehow completely missed even though I was home and no “we missed you” card to be found.

I have a bad back and driver left heavy package at bottom of 3 flights of stairs

I gave explicit authorization to "leave item unattended" and also gave further instructions to "please leave outside front door." However, the driver continued to ring my doorbell then proceeded to leave the *heavy* package at the bottom of 3 flights of stairs. THERE IS A REASON I ASK FOR THINGS TO BE LEFT AT MY FRONT DOOR: I HAVE A BAD BACK AND MY DOCTOR SAYS I SHOULDN'T BE DOING HEAVY LIFTING.
