I ordered a cooker never received it…

I ordered a cooker never received it one excuse after another.
First time the delivery driver lied and told the shop assistant that he had delivered. The shop assistant said I was there then he said it was due to the weather. He also had signed the customer box with my initials to say it was delivered.
Second time it was booked for delivery it didn't turn up again this time I was told it was forgotten to be put on the truck.
Third time today no delivery and been told that the cooker been damaged and they couldn't put on the truck.
Never heard so many excuses.
Got to phone for refund tomorrow hope that goes smoothly.
I will never order from Currys again.

Avoid Currys PC World at all cost

Bought a gaming monitor for my son, came on next day delivery when it turned up there was only a European plug, rang customer services on hold for an hour passed to three different people only to be told it would have to be returned and that I'd have to have a refund as now out of stock refund will take up to 10 days after they have checked it in, utterly disgusting, bad customer service and I will never shop there again

Abysmal Service from Currys

Abysmal Service from Currys

The 8th December I placed my order of two televisions, one for my Son and one for my Daughter to open Christmas day, only one arrived in store. I was told it was lost in transit and I would need to take this up with Customer services. Customer services told me they would need to investigate the matter. After not hearing back I chased, apparently there was a picking error and the replacement was being sent to store, said I would receive an email. No email received. 22nd December Went back to store, not there, told to speak to customer services again. Customer services said there was loads of stock and that it had been put on a rush. 23rd December, nothing. 24th December, after numerous calls and emails I was told that there was no stock and would I like a refund. A refund, the day before Christmas. The manager in question knew this was a Christmas present and didn't appear to care. We were lied to, let down and deceived the entire time. We ended up having to buy a more expensive TV that they did have in stock. Its been a month with no sight of a refund for the original TV and we are getting no where with the complaints office, customer service, head office. We have had to resort to claiming this back through our credit card company. We are due to replace our kitchen with all new appliances, which I would have got from Currys, not now. They have lost my business forever.

DON'T USE CURRYS PC WORLD

Bought a hdmi to usbc lead, got an e-mail saying it had been delivered when it hadn't been. Tried and tried to contact them to find out what had gone wrong but the e-mail is 'no reply', answerphone just passes you from one option to another and then says look at the website. The website has a webchat facilty that deosn't work; says 'just type in the box' but there is no box to type in! Unbelievable how a company can treat its customers with such contempt. DO NOT USE CURRYS / PC WORLD!!!! This is a genuine review (I'm @MikeOnMedia if you want to check)

Really negative frustrating experience

Really negative frustrating experience, I had a secured preorder for what I wanted to be a Christmas present. However, the item never arrived, I have been calling CS for more than 2 months and each time they tell me they will relocate and eventually assured me they will refund and I can look for the item somewhere else however even the refund never received till date.. Very frustrating experience.

How do they get away with it ?

I purchased some software and was very careful to check that it was the product I wanted and that, importantly, it came with a disk and not just a download with a product key. The item on their website shows and explains on the info tab that it was great for those that had a disk drive and wanted to install it off line.

I had delivered a product key and no disk.

I contacted them via web chat and they spent 20 minutes totally refusing to accept that it wasn't what I ordered. They sent me a link to the item listing and I pointed out to them where it said "disk will be sent" and I was told that I should read it again.

They simply (and rudely) do not accept that they have sent the wrong item and I am now over £100 out of pocket. They simply cut me off and the transcript of the chat I requested was never received.

Beware, you will not get anywhere with them if you have any issues.

Worst customer services ever

Worst customer services ever had the misfortune to deal with. Bought a TV which after delivery was found to be faulty. Took ages trying to get through their phone system and had to redial after several dead end routes of press this and press that to end up with a message to find help on line ? On line advised to telephone ! Sorted a return eventually and they would send another out but they couldn’t tell me when. Meanwhile the price went down and I was sat waiting for my TV with no idea when it was coming. As item was in stock locally and I could yet go pick one up I Had to try to cancel the order! Another huge amount of time that I will never get back ! If you ever get through to an actual person you can guarantee that it won’t be the right one and you will get cut off in the transfer. Really made me think twice about ordering anything from them that I can’t pick up and just take back to the shop if it’s faulty as customer services is terrible !

WORST. CUSTOMER SERVICE. EVER. IN THE HISTORY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Our washer dryer, purchased in Oct-20, broke in Dec-20 whereby the rubber seal / gasket fitted to the front of the machine had become damaged during normal operation. I spoke to Currys via their customer services number but I was directed to the manufacturer directly as it was out of the 30 day guarantee but well within the products 2 year warranty. I reminded them that my contract was with them, the trader, and not with the manufacturer and that my statutory rights were reserved. I had requested a replacement but given the supposed simplicity of the repair it was not yet an option. At this point Currys wanted me, the customer, to deal with the manufacturer on their behalf. We proceeded to do, sending photos and product details / proof of purchase through via WhatsApp for the manufacturer’s technical team to review.

A repair date was arranged 2.5 weeks after reporting the fault. This was a repair subcontractor employee by the manufacturer. Currys were not interested in dealing with the situation and saw it as a manufacturer issue despite the product being in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The subcontracted repair engineer arrived without replacement parts and tried to fix the seal which was clearly mis-shapen beyond repair. This did not work, surprisingly!

The subcontracted repair engineer confirmed he would need to order the parts, that were supposedly readily available, and upon receipt of parts a return date would be booked in.

We then received confirmation that the revisit would be another 2 weeks after the initial failed visit. I got back in contact with the manufacturer and Currys to express my displeasure and to try and reach a more agreeable resolution. We requested a replacement immediately. This proved fruitless and only possible upon receipt of an uplift number from the manufacturer, confirming the product was beyond economical repair.

I then received a message from the subcontracted repair engineer 4 days before the 2nd visit was due to take place informing me the visit had been postponed due to unavaibility of parts. The visit was postponed by a further 4 weeks. I contacted the manufacturer and Currys to explain the dire situation. At this point I had been without a working washing machine for 1 month.

Following more calls to the manufacturer customer services and to Currys (who were still no help whatsoever) the manufacturer provided an uplift number which I thought would swiftly resolve the problem. I had been told by the Currys web chat team previously that this was straight forward once the uplift number was obtained. They were wrong.

After more calls with Currys I eventually managed to get through to someone who logged the uplift number and confirmed that it had been manually passed to their deliveries and collections team. I could not speak to anyone in the delivery and collections team, but I would have an email confirmation of a date for collection of the old and replacement of the new. I was originally told that this would be with me the same day. I was right to be sceptical because further calls to check progress with other customer services operators changed this to 2 days and then up to 5 days. I was starting to think everyone I spoke to at Currys was making it up as they went along. At present I do not have confirmation of when the replacement is coming despite Currys having the uplift number they so craved for 3 whole days now.

Whenever I had requested escalation I was told the team leaders were busy but they would get someone to call me back. They never called me back. Today, 21-Jan, I refused the opportunity for a call back, instead i requested to be put on hold for the next available team leader. I was on hold for 2 hours at which point the call cut off.

Given how unpleasant the Currys phone and webchat customer services have been I have requested a customer services email address and apparently there isn’t one. I have written to directors, but with no response. It seems Currys are intent on wasting people’s time to hope the problems and complaints go away. I would estimate I have spent in excess of 10 hours on the phone.

Nearly 40 days after the initial call I still do not have a solution or a date when this madness ends. All during a global pandemic and government lockdown. And the funny thing? If I was a brand new customer I could get the exact same product ordered today, and delivered and installed tomorrow morning for a moderate premium (according to the Currys website this morning, 21-Jan). It is clear where Currys priorities lie, and it certainly isn’t with their customer relations.

This experience has been utterly shambolic and will certainly dictate where I buy my electronic products from in the future. I would recommend others to steer clear too if they value their sanity.

Erroneous stock system & slow refund process

Ordered a £999 iPhone online on 15th December paying by credit card. It turned out there were none in stock despite the system stating otherwise, but I was not advised. After going to collect the non-existent phone, I called Currys who apologised but said they could now fulfil the order. The absence of stock glitch hit again, but again I was not advised. I had to contact Currys, at this point, on 23rd December the order was cancelled and I was promised a refund. Since Christmas I have had three phone conversations with Currys call centre staff, all promised the refund was imminent, but to date their promises have proved false. I have now paid my credit card bill.

Ordered 2 laptops from Curry's on-line…

Ordered 2 laptops from Curry's on-line and only 1 arrived. After a long wait on line I was told it would arrive in 3 days. It didn't arrive so spent another 30 minutes waiting to chat to someone on line. They told me it was out of stock. I asked for a refund and I was then told it had been sent from their end but was lost in transit. I was told it could take 14 days to come back to me. I asked again for a refund and told this was not possible. I asked to speak to a manager but was told they would say the same thing. I was given a number where I could complain. I would never use this company again

Don't buy if you do not need the stress afterwards!

I had to spend 3 days continuously trying to contact Curry's customer service and eventually manage to speak to someone who arrange for my return item to be collected today between 11:30 and 12:30. NO one turned up. DPD does not recognise the collection number I have been given by Currys. I am stuck at home and furious!

Received a second hand cooker hood

Currys, how are you allowed to get away with this???? Bought a cooker hood, got sent a USED one with dents and parts missing. Completed a form in the website for a refund as from the reviews I’ve read, there is no point asking for an exchange. Received an email asking me to ring their phone number as they needed more info before they can process the refund. Phoned the number given, an expensive number beware, had to give up in the end as the hold was too long.....
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY -TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!!!

Currys are slow to process refunds

Currys don't deserve even this one star. I ordered a tablet/cover/sd card bundle on 18th December to collect from store. I had to pay in advance £270. The next day I received a message to say that it was ready to collect but because I was away with work it was a couple of days later that I went to the store. Arrived at the store for the Covid secure car pick up. Code wouldn't work so I had to go in store to sort it out. Was told that they had the SD card in store but not the tablet or cover. I would get another message to tell me if was in store. Nothing came so I chased on the phone. Told I couldn't cancel as part of the order was in store. That breaches their own refund rules. I gave up expecting the tablet on the 29th and ordered one from Amazon which arrived 2 days later. Sent a cancellation form in online on 29th and was told I would hear from them. Have chased after 14 days to be told the same nonsense that they couldn't refund because the SD card was in store. Then got a message to say they were sorry for the inconvenience but they just needed to check with the store and I would receive refund in 7 days. Have chased again after 5 days to see if it is progressing but they say they are really busy with higher than normal volumes. No response. Won't be shopping there again and just wish I'd read all the negative reviews before I ordered from them. Is it illegal to take orders for products you don't have and can't fulfill? It's definitely poor customer service to not refund promptly when the customer has been more than patient. Absolutely zero proactive communication, only responses to being chased up.

Laptop not delivered

I visited the Salisbury store on the 30th of December to purchase a new laptop anticipating that the country would go into another lockdown and that schooling would be moved online.
I had previously checked on the website that the laptop that I wanted was in stock in the branch which it was according to the website. Once at the store it became apparent that my chosen laptop was not in stock in the branch but it was available for home delivery within 5 to 7 days.

I was reluctant to order but with the looming lockdown and with the prospect of 2 children having to share 1 computer for online lessons I decided to place the order and was assured that delivery would be within the time frame specified. I was reluctant to do this as I have had a shocking experience with Curry's when purchasing a range cooker some years ago.

Having paid in full for the laptop on the 30th of December I was fully expecting it to be delivered on the 5th to the 7th of January. Rather predictably the laptop did not arrive. On the 11th of January I contacted Currys to try and find out what was going on. I was informed that the laptop was no longer in stock and that I would have to wait, our conversation was abruptly cut off so I contacted Currys again to then be told that shipment would be made on the 13th of january.

It is now the 19th of January and low and behold my order has still not arrived! I therefore again contacted Currys only to be told this time that my order was delayed in the warehouse and that I should wait for 24 - 48 hours and I might hear something.

I have now emailed Currys with my complaint but expect to hear nothing back.

Currys are a terrible company who have no real interest in there customers just the profits we provide.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!!
