Bought from currys for many years but never again 😡
Bought an LG washing machine which stop working after 2 days spent hours and I mean hours trying to speak to someone on phone but impossible. Live chat advertised but wasn’t available so tried to use online form to report fault and as soon as you get to question reason for return says you have to contact them by live chat or phone but live chat but as I say they have taken live chat off and phone line is impossible to speak to anyone. Contacted LG who says need to contact currys to get them to organise a uplift number from them (LG)
Honestly Currys after having me as I customer since I can remember have lost my custom for good
How can a big company like currys end up with such awful aftercare service. Shame on them

Deliberately cancelled Black Friday order and was asked to re order the product at full price - always have issues every time I try order and the customer service is TERRIBLE! Will never use curry’s again and I’ve heard many people say the same thing!

Terrible installation

Ordered a washing machine which arrived promptly but the installation carried out by 'Team don't know how' was terrible. Firstly, the machine wasn't balanced correctly. The installers left the machine running a program and said I could use it after the program had finished, I noticed that the machine had stopped with an error code saying there was a problem with draining. This was due to the fact that they hadn't installed the waste water pipe correctly. Eventually I had to call a plumber who resolved the issues as I couldn't get hold of pcworld. Team knowhow in my opinion are as useful as a chocolate fireguard!!

Curry’s disgusting customer service

After yet another working week of zero response from curry’s. I’m taking to social media to share my shocking experience with your customer service.

I purchased a TV from curry’s online on the Black Friday deals for my 6 year old sons Christmas. Wrapped it and hidden away till the big day. Plugged it in and it was damaged.....these things happen, I thought curry’s is a reputable company and will replace it. Contacted curry’s on the 26th December, was told that their policy is to receive the tv bag at the depot to check it over and then they would issue a new TV to be dispatched.....not ideal but sure, these are difficult times and my 6year old understood that Santa just needed to fix it and it would be back in no time! Arranged dpd collection for the 27th December and was told I would receive a text for when the driver would arrive. Was reassured that regardless of the Black Friday deal price, I would receive a replacement tv whether that be the one I ordered or one of similar spec, which I was happy with. Driver arrived without prewarning and refused collection because I didn’t display a label (at no point either on the phone or via email was I advised to do this) so I had them to call back ‘team know how’ to re arrange collection & find out what label I had to supply. The best date she could offer was the 31st and I had to write an address on a piece of paper and tape it to the box and once again reassured I would receive a replacement tv.....ok no problem! Collected eventually!

Received an email on Sunday 10th January at 6:32am to say they had received my tv back at the depot but unfortunately they no longer had my tv in stock. Either pick a tv of the same value or they would issue me a refund within 48 hours.....best bit is you can’t respond via email....has to be via telephone when you sit in a queue for 48minutes and the first person hangs up on you. Eventually get to speak to someone. I decline the offer of a refund and advise that the TV I ordered is showing as still available on the website, just now it’s not at the Black Friday price (even though I was told this wouldn’t be an issue). So was told yup, no problem we’ll get this sorted for you, someone will be in touch.......a few days go by and I have not as much as an email. So I message the online team and log a complaint.
Then told that the tv is no longer in stock despite being available online. Ok then I am happy to take any TV of the same size ect and supply several options....some cheaper, some more expensive. Was told yes we can do that, you’ll receive an email to confirm within the next couple of days.

Nothing.

I then contact trading standards to get some advice. They confirm I am within my rights under the consumer rights act, they open a case for me, draft up an email and send it over.....strange thing is the customer services email account isn’t accepting mail at the moment 🤷🏼‍♀️

So I then contact ‘team know how again’ and inform them of the consumer rights case number....’apologies and someone will be in touch by the end of the week’
Week passes and I call in again, and get through to a department where I am told ‘it’s with the back of house team and has been manually dispatched the alternative TV (which was of lesser value but who cares at this point. My boys bedroom sits empty as he desperately waits for his Christmas present) so someone will be in touch by the end of the week to arrange delivery’
Perfect. Happy again.

Another week passes and I get zero response from curry’s...no confirmation email, no text, no nothing.
I call again, wait in a queue to once again explain the situation, passed from department to department. Eventually speak to someone again who once again tells me.....it’s been passed to the back of house team and has been manually dispatched.....whatever the hell that means.
I politely tell her that at this point, with no disrespect, I don’t believe you and can you send me confirmation of this ‘manual for dispatch’ and actually clarify what that means.
Unfortunately she can not 🤔 strange.
Once again I leave the call with another empty promise of an email from a manager to confirm by the end of the week.

Now I am aware that this is Friday and the week has not yet ended but quite frankly I am completely fed up of the disgusting treatment I have received & would like to pre warn others.

Not sure whether I’d call this fraud or theft now 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ll contact trancing standards again today and try from this side.

Absolutely disgusting.

I’m just glad that I have a very forgiving son who forgives Santa for taking OVER A MONTH to send his TV back!

Non existent customer services. Bad bad bad

I had to return a faulty item. I asked for a replacement but then realised it would take weeks to get it. Managed to call them. Had a non-conversation with one representative. Called back and spoke to a different person who arranged for a refund instead (once item received back). A week later a replacement is being sent out. No web chat. Phone lines are closed. Uncontactable.

Currys Reply,

Currys Reply,
Just finally had a reply from Currys, Dan told me to go on facebook and twitter to talk to them.
I hate both these platforms and don't use them, however as i contacted them 14 days from Christmas and allowed 14 days again for Dan to give me the run around i am now escalating to VISA to draw the money direct from the Dixons bank account as per my Comsumer rights

I ordered a Cooker Hob and Cooker Hood…

I ordered a Cooker Hob and Cooker Hood online on the 25th January and today they both arrived, I haven't unpacked the Hob yet but I checked the Extractor Hood Chimney and it's marked so I to filled in the online Return Form and it would not go when I pressed submit - I then spent the next two hours trying to speak to someone with no success whatsoever even the Virtual Help which I can only describe as useless eventually said I had to fill in the Return Form so tried again and same thing happened - To cut a very long story short I eventually filled in the Return Form, submitted it OK and even got an acknowledgement THEN an email saying this : -
Thank you for your returns request. We’re sorry you weren’t happy with your order this time round. We’ve tried to process your return; however, we need some additional information. Please contact us via our webchat service or call us for further assistance.
I did and this was the response :-
Curry's Virtual Assistant:
I’m sorry – that’s not something I’m trained in – you might be able to find this on our Help & Services section.
Its now 4:30Pm and I have been trying to deal with this since 10:00am
Am I frustrated 😤 I honestly will never deal with this pile of crap again their system just sends you around and around in circles o have a contact in Rip Off Britain see what they can do

Not even worth one star.. Appalling service

Over two months later and the order hasn't arrived!
Placed a business order on 20/11/20 with all items listed at dispatch within 2 day. Despite being payed in full by card at the time of ordering, the order was held. On the few occasions I was finally able to get through to customer services having being cut off on most occasions it took until 24/12/20 for them to work out it was an internal system error that caused the issue. The account was credited however not to the amount of the order as a previous error made by Currys had left an outstanding charge on the account. This took until the 27/01/21 for them to work out having made countless attempts to get in touch. Over two months after the order was placed I'm still out of pocket and without the goods. For anyone reading this, save yourself and place your order else where. Absolutely appalling service!

Next day delivery my butt!

Ordered iPad and iPencil with next day delivery. Took a week to be delivered. When the package arrived it was ripped open. The iPencil was missing and the iPad box was dented in several areas. Since you can’t get to speak to anyone when you contact Curry’s Customer Service I was forced onto a ‘Chat’ line which eventually put me in touch with a ‘live’ agent. The agent then advised me that their dispatch team would be in touch with me - within 72 hours. So next day delivery has become at least 10 days - and all the while Curry’s have the benefit of my money which seems to be the only thing in my who experience that seems to work with any speed and efficiency. As I sit here I still don’t know when I will get my goods. Curry’s have just lost my loyalty - going to do my future shopping with a trusted company who use reliable delivery services.

Curry’s customer service nightmare

In fact l feel like not given them any stars. l have just phoned there customer service for the third time.
And talked to a very rude person who told me that my refund would be in my account tonight if that is what l wanted to hear but it wouldn’t be anyway .
l told her that l wanted to talk to a manager which she stated l couldn’t .
I ordered a cooker in December + £100 to install £15 to take the old one away .
They came decided couldn’t install cooker as meter was in a cupboard and told my husband to change our units. They said they would take my old cooker away which would of left me with nothing .
They then turned my gas and boiler off so l had no hot water or heating .They did turn the boiler back on but forgot to turn gas back on unknown to me .
So ended up with no hot water or heating .
It was until l went to cook something l realised it was that the gas had not been turned back on . Cowboys
Since then l have tried to get my £115 back on numerous occasions the first time l got told they would give us a £20 goodwill payment and l would get a phone call .
I have contacted them twice and still no where closer supposed to hear in three days .
The rude lady day said they were going to give us a voucher l told her we’re to go with that cash that’s what l give them.
I love my cooker managed to get two gas fitters to put my cooker in the next day it took them twenty minutes doing safety checks etc and a lot cheaper £50
