Excellent TV repair
Had a long term problem with my TV and was put in touch with DK AVS Horley via John Lewis. Darren the engineer from DK arrived and very quickly and efficiently sorted the problem. Excellent service backed up by a friendly and knowledgeable engineer, well done Darren.
An unresolved repair experience involving DK AVS and Sony
An unresolved repair experience involving DK AVS and Sony
I sent my Sony SEL2470GM lens to DK AVS in January 2025 after rain damage. DK AVS assessed the lens and outsourced the repair to Sony, whose estimate stated it had “fluid ingress all over.”
Sony replaced only the 6th group block, and DK AVS returned the lens as repaired.
The total cost of this repair was £398.54, covered by my travel insurance.
When I later used the lens, it still failed to focus beyond 55 mm. At DK AVS’s request I returned it, and again they sent it to Sony, who quoted £675 to replace the 3–5 group block assembly.
In fairness, DK AVS relied on Sony’s diagnosis and workmanship for both the estimate and the repair itself.
However, given Sony’s own note of “fluid ingress all over,” it would have been reasonable for DK AVS to ensure that I was warned that further failures might occur, or to have confirmed that all affected groups were properly inspected at the outset.
Both DK AVS and Sony acknowledged that liquid contamination can take time to manifest.
Because my insurance covered only the first repair, the re-repair was not included, leaving me responsible for the cost. Another authorised company has since quoted £746.20 to restore the lens fully.
After months of correspondence and no resolution, I filed a Small Claims Court claim. DK AVS refunded the original repair cost.
Communication throughout was slow and inconsistent, with key details such as tracking information omitted.
This has been a prolonged and frustrating process that could have been avoided with clearer communication and more thorough oversight of Sony’s repair work.
While I recognise that DK AVS were not directly responsible for the workmanship of the repair carried out by Sony, they still had a responsibility to ensure that customers were fully informed and supported throughout the process.
Better communication, transparency about outsourcing, and clearer explanations of potential risks could have made a significant difference.
To DK AVS’s credit, the representative I spoke with recently said he would be following up on these suggestions internally, which I appreciate. I hope this feedback helps them improve how they manage and communicate outsourced repairs in future.
Scammers
Scammers. I purchased open box lens from other official retailer. This means the box was opened in store and never used. That means the lens is still covered under official one year Panasonic warranty. I provide them with serial number. Instead of doing investigation and checking with Panasonic if this lens is covered, they just told me “it’s lower than RRP so it must be second hand so you need to pay”. Complete scammers and only care about money. They did not even check whether there is an issue. Avoid.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!
I had an appalling experience with this business. I paid their full, high-priced quote to repair both the charging port and shutter button on my camera. While the charging port was fixed, the shutter button was completely ignored and remains stuck — exactly as I described in my initial request.
Despite clear communication and paying in good faith an overpirced amount for the job, I received a half-finished repair at full price. I followed up by email, but after a week there’s been no response — a stark contrast to how quickly they responded (under 24 hours!) when they were quoting me.
This shows a serious lack of professionalism, quality control, and respect for customers’ time and money. Save yourself the frustration and waste of money take your business elsewhere.

Successful Panasonic Lumix repair
Greg was a great help with a Panasonic Lumix camera repair with lens that was stuck open. All sorted
DKAVS and Ricky save the day
DKAVS were the nominated repair company for our John Lewis purchased TV. After calling JL we were passed to DKAVS, who got Ricky to us within the time specified. He was competent, efficient and very pleasant. He told us what the problem was and we agreed on how it would go ahead. The office kept us advised consistently and we agreed a return date for the replacement part. Ricky duly turned up and within 15 minutes had the tv back and working. Very impressed with the standards of service and the Ricky. Well done and thank you. Colin and Mary.
Sorted Bravia issue
Darren and Terry did a great job fixing the issue with our Bravia TV. They arrived on time and resolved a tricky problem quickly, taking great care with the TV. Highly recommended.
This Is Not a Service Centre, It’s a Circus
Dealing with DK Audio Visual Services was a disaster.
We had a truly appalling experience with this company, marked by dishonesty, misleading communication, and a complete lack of professionalism.
We sent our microwave in for what was a minor issue, only the convection function was not working, yet the rest of the appliance was perfectly usable. Instead of being transparent, I was misled for months with claims that the repair was in progress, that parts had been ordered, and that they were still awaiting a response from the manufacturer.
I later obtained internal documentation showing the manufacturer had actually rejected the warranty claim back in February. That fact was never disclosed to me. I was effectively deprived of the use of my microwave for no reason, and all that time, I was being given false updates. The business presented itself as doing everything it could, yet the documents show that no further claim submissions were made, and no parts were ever ordered.
To make matters worse, someone from the company publicly posted detailed information about my case on Trustpilot, including service history and internal correspondence. This was done without my consent and was visible to everyone, which is completely unacceptable and frankly unprofessional.
I strongly advise anyone considering this company to think twice. Based on my experience, you cannot rely on the information they provide, nor expect even the most basic respect for your time or your privacy.

Shocking service – avoid DK Audio at all costs
Dealing with DK Audio Visual Services has been an absolute nightmare. I entrusted them with a warranty repair for my Panasonic microwave, and I genuinely regret ever sending it to them.
They ignored emails, gave inconsistent and misleading information, and repeatedly assured me parts were ordered, only to later reveal the repair had been cancelled months earlier without ever informing me. They blamed Panasonic throughout, refused to provide written evidence of their claims, and handled the situation with an astonishing lack of professionalism or accountability.
When I tried to get clarity, they passed the buck, imposed arbitrary return dates, and showed no concern for the delay or inconvenience they caused. Even when I escalated the issue to Panasonic, DK Audio continued to act as if they bore no responsibility.
This is not a service centre — it’s a black hole where customer service, transparency and competence go to die. I strongly advise others to avoid DK Audio at all costs. If your product is under warranty, push for a different repair partner; this one will only frustrate and disappoint.
PS. I find it entirely inappropriate and unprofessional that DK Audio Visual Services has chosen to publish detailed, private information about my case in a public forum such as Trustpilot. Sharing personal service details, correspondence, and internal claim logs without my consent breaches basic standards of customer confidentiality and raises serious concerns about how customer data is handled by your business.
Rather than address the core issues I raised — the lack of communication, delays, contradictory updates, and failure to notify me of the cancellation — your response attempts to deflect responsibility by shifting blame to the manufacturer, while exposing internal processes that should never have been made public.
I stand by my review. It is a reflection of my experience as a paying customer who was left uninformed, inconvenienced, and without resolution for months. Publicly revealing private details in an attempt to justify poor service only reinforces the concerns I initially raised.
If your business wishes to engage professionally, it should do so through direct communication, not by disclosing my personal case history to the public.

First class service - rare to find this these days
I have an old Panasonic compact camera with fluff/dust on the sensor or lens but otherwise in good working order. I was considering a new purchase due to the age but realised that compact zooms are no longer easy to find. I spoke to Pansonic to see what it might cost to get the old one repaired and they passed me over to DKAVS. I didn't expect this to go well but I was amazed at how helpful everyone at DKAVS was and how easy, cost-effective and professional the whole process was. From the initial conversation, to discuss if it might be worth trying to repair until it was returned, I was very impressed by the desire to help and the good communication about progress, payment etc. My camera was repaired and returned to me within 6 working days which I had never imagined would be possible. Thanks to all of those at DKAVS who contributed to making this happen. I would happily use DKAVS when I next need to get something repaired and would recommend them to others based on the experience that I received.
Replacement TV
Darren arrived promptly. He was polite, helpful and very patient with us. He installed the TV efficiently, thoroughly tested his work and gave us lots of great advice .
He was very professional throughout.
DK AVS got me sorted.
Just had Darren around 4 days after my LG OLED 65" C1 stopped completely. Did my research tried all the YouTube and AI answers nothing worked.
It Cost me £1400 new in 2021 and as a pensioner I was not looking forward to a repair bill.
Called John Lewis and was still under 5 year warranty. They got in touch with DKAVS and they sent Darren around to my London flat in 2 days.
It Needed a new power supply board.
Darren had one in his van and he replaced it in 15 minutes.
And what a gentleman!
Cleaned the screen and left me with an all 100% fixed TV with a screen you could eat dinner off.
100% 5 star service
from a real gentleman.
From door bell to exit was 22 minutes! Wow!
Curry's 3rd party repairers
Absolutely shocking, don't know the difference between actual damage and defect with a product! and cause issues as there suppose to be competent technicians. wouldn't recommend for any major chain to use these as a reliable repair company. absolute joke.

Panasonic Lumix FZ82D
Camera developed a fault and as purchased through John Lewis was sent for repair to DK Audio Visual Services Ltd. John Lewis set up a ‘Job Repair Tracker’ where I could see what was happening during the repair, & DK Audio arranged for a courier to collect it. It was picked up on May 3rd using a ‘Swappit Box’. On May 13th the ‘Job Repair Tracker’ stated that the repair had now been completed & camera was being returned to me, but the next day I received an email from DK Audio advising that as ‘Proof of Purchase’ had now been received they would go ahead with the repair. After several phone calls to John Lewis over the next couple of weeks to find out why tracker had been closed, they advised they would phone/email DK Audio and promised to get back to me with an update but didn’t! I was finally told yesterday (Jun 3) that the part had been obtained and the camera now fixed and had been sent by Royal Mail the day before. Luckily, I know the Postman as Camera was returned this morning but had the wrong address on it!!
