Sorry to hear that Andrey, when ending a rental please do not close the app before you receive a receipt on the screen (the app also asks you not to close the app after making a picture). That is the confirmation the ride has ended :)

Looks like you kept your bike rented for 3 hours while not using it. If you let a taxi wait for 3 hours that would cost a lot more money in Amsterdam :(
Just bring the bike back to a drop-of when not using it and end the rental and avoid running up the bill.

We managed to get set up, unlock the bikes etc.. tried to drop them outside our hotel but apparently we couldn't. There were two bikes there already.
I then tried locking the bikes and it wouldnt connect. After repeating the process x 3 it wouldnt work. Finally it did. Then the second bike we had rented started a new trip apparently as it locked. I tried sending feedback to their team via chat and was given a curt response about giving us a free ride next time before they quickly thanked me for my feedback and shut the chat completely.

I need to do some chores in den hague then found this bike in the train station which i rented for an hour that costed less than multiple tram tickets.

Hidden costs
While booking a daily ride insurance is offered - that has fixed hourly increase rate which is not informed at all - while booking nor later in FAQ or insurance policy. I had to contact customer support that tried to avoid providing this information and by the end of our chat gave me 15min free ride that I didn’t ask for, which felt cheap. Very bad. Bike was fine and well maintained.

A good day with my Donkey!
After renting many different types of scooters, I ventured today to rent a Donkey Republic E bike and I am really satisfied with the overall experience. The bike is sturdy. The battery has a huge capacity and there is a basket to carry extra luggage like a backpack and it is in front of you for safety. This was a good day with Donkey Republic!

penalty is delayed
I rented bikes in Copenhagen for 5 days 5 hours deal and been charged for locking bikes outside of their area, all bikes where returned to their designated spots beside that they have charged me and all extra and extra charges came delayed the warning in app was saying that they may charge me extra if there is a problem with finding bike what wasn't the case

If the app detects that you are trying to end the rental outside of a drop-off location, you will always receive a warning before ending the ride, explaining that a penalty might be charged if it is ended there. Sometimes the app may show a warning even if you are close to a drop-off, and the fee is only applied after we double-check the bike’s location. If you believe a fee was charged in error, please reach out to our support team through the app, and we’ll be happy to review your rentals and refund any charges that were made incorrectly.
