Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 27 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported that their products, including phones and tablets, stopped working or developed significant faults within a year or two of purchase, often related to SIM readers, battery issues, or screen failures. Reviewers frequently found the customer service to be unresponsive, unhelpful, or difficult to contact, with many complaints about ignored emails, generic automated responses, and being passed between different contacts. Furthermore, the warranty process was often described as meaningless, with the company failing to honor warranties or provide timely repairs, sometimes instructing customers to contact sellers or find spare parts themselves. Some people were satisfied with the physical durability of certain products, and a few customers had positive experiences with customer service, receiving quick responses and replacements. Additionally, some users expressed satisfaction with the build quality and features of specific phones, even stating they would continue using the brand based on past positive experiences.

5 months in, overjoyed, S86Pro

5 months in, overjoyed.

I was always wary of Chinese brands in prior years as parts were not available / cheap and reliability was ever an issue. But it seems over the last 10 years there has been a real drive to tech up and increase quality in production in China and my S86 Pro would be the proof of that.

I am up and down ladders and scratching around on floors alot in what I do, Ive dropped the damned thing from low and high heights half a dozen times already and the worst its gotten is a tiny dink in the plastic bevel around the glass. I even dropped a hammer on it from 5 feet, on the glass... not a scratch o.o

Anything else I have owned from Samsung or Sony or apple would have been in bits and frequently were and that is despite them costing two to three times what this handset cost.

As for the tech inside, it is loaded to the gills, I have a decent octocore and GPU on board, sure its not the absolute fastest of parts but they are no slow pokes and when paired with 8 gig of ram makes the phone a joy to use. I dont think I have ever owned a mobile phone that could keep up with my type rate until now. There is no lag.

Plenty of storage with 128 gb. And an SD card socket for more.

And then there is the battery. Beastly. I charge up every 3 or 4 days and that's often with some fairly heavy usage in between as I also use it to compose music via Caustik 3.

The downside is obviously... the weight, but if you are like me and really never gave a damn about having a light weight phone and want something sturdy and loaded with enough tech to keep the phone in use for years android or not, then this is perfect.

As for the price, I got it on a deal at £133 inc shipping from China. Phenomenal value and so far no issues.

Do not use this seller

Do not use this seller. They did not despatch the item I had purchased. They promised to send a replacement but did not. After over three months of delay they demanded an additional payment before sending the item I had already paid for.

Doogee official on aliexpress

I purchased a Doogee phone from Doogee official on Aliexpress. It is now over 90 days since the phone was supposedly shipped. The phone hasn't arrived and all I'm told is contact local customs as the tracking shows it is there. Ive spoken to uk custom who haven't recieved the phone, I've also spoke to Post NL the courier and they haven't recieved the phone. Is this a scam I don't know but I'm £200 down and Doogee close any dispute that I open. I'll update if things change.

Guess some manufacturers or sellers don’t take reviews seriously, I was about buying 3 of the Doogee phones as gift for my girls upgrading their table into phones but thank goodness I always make it a habit to check reviews. It’s bye bye to ever buying the phone that goes with its name’Doogee’

DOOGEE Unprofessional Company

I would like to bring to the attention of all people that read this review that if they use this company and have a good experience I am happy for them, but I can only go by how I have been treated.
In March 2021, I purchased a DOOGEE mobile phone from a online provider called Banggood, who sell products on behalf of DOOGEE. I did not receive the phone until late April 2021 and had the phone 📱 for approximately 6 to 8 weeks before the phone developed a serious fault. I contacted the merchant who I bought the phone from but they started giving me the run around. As I was dealing with my mother's passing away this was very distressing, therefore I contacted the manufacturer of the actual phone. I spoke to an individual in their customer service department, who gave me an address to send the product back to. This product was sent back in August 2021 by international tracking. In the meantime I spoke to an individual in their marketing department who was very helpful and understood my frustration, he assured me that he would bring this to the attention of the Support services to get this issue resolved.
The marketing operative in question responded to my emails even sending me details of the complaint raised on my behalf.
Other a month later in Nov 2021 I finally received a response from the Support services but they where asking me questions about the fault of the phone and for pictures or videos, I explained that the phone was no longer in my possession and that they could look into this when they received the phone. I sent the support team numerous emails without response, I even said that I would need to take legal action, still no response, finally when I received an email from them I complied with their request for the postal receipt with the tracking number and my original receipt of purchase. Since I supplied all of these details I have not heard from this company again, I tracked the phone which stated that the company received it in Oct 2021, I have since asked my bank to act on my behalf, but it would seem that the bank is also having issues with my dispute. I will continue to pursue this as I do not feel that I should be dealing with a company that is this dishonest and I am within my rights to have a full refund of the product. Therefore to all who use this company or any outlets that sells it merchandise, be very careful because their after care services are a disgrace.

My wife and I have had the Y9 plus for…

My wife and I have had the Y9 plus for the last two years with differing experiences. My wife's phone has pitiful signal strength and can drop calls every few seconds at times whilst mine has performed OK but the screen cracked overnight whilst on charge. It cracked from the camera lens which isn't any sort of impact point and, besides it was on the bedside cabinet in it's leather case! I don't know if this is a common fault
but I have heard of screens breaking on their own. No sign of any swelling or any form of impact. Strange, but it was less than £70 and it will cost that and more to repair it. New phone time.😀

Bad quality

Terrible! Bought a well advertised super rugged phone S96)and the screen broke within a week. Not dropped from meters high onto hard concrete, but 10 inches from my bed to the rug below. No customer service. No help. Terrible. Waste of money!

Corrupt,Corrupt,Corrupt

These People are Charlatans.
They will steal your money and then send a box which will be stuck in Netherlands.
Yiu won’t see your money or the phone ever.
Trust Pilot will pull this down if on the payroll. They have total incompetent staff and can easily be bought off so expect this to be pulled down

Beware data transfer.

Regarding the last message/review from Oliver Priestley. I am the stepdad in question. I didn't foolishly buy the first phone that shone the brightest. I spent time researching the different options in the price class I was prepared to pay. I decided on a Doogee S96 pro. When it arrived I started to set it up. I followed the instructions to the letter. When I transferred data from my LG G6+ I was not able to unlock my Doogee. It kept switching off and turning itself back on without me being able to proceed further with it. I put it back on the factory settings and sent it back as being faulty. I was convinced it was a one off problem so I bought another identical phone. This time I thought about the issue I had with the first one. I concluded that the data from my LG had some how corrupted my Doogee leading to the problem. I am not an electronics whizz but I tried activating my new Doogee without transferring the data from my LG. It worked. The first Doogee I bought was probably ok. It just means I have to input my data from my old phone manually. "What's that Oliver, your going to amend your review". I should think so. Us oldies ain't so dumb.

Scamming data selling scheme

My stepdad has stupidly purchased from this company twice. After believing the first one was faulty my stepdad foolishly purchased from this company again their phones seem to be working at the set up stage but once set up, data transferred etc.. The phones turn off and are unresponsive not allowing you to unlock the phone without it turning off it seems the company is making all their money off selling your data online once your data from your previous phone is moved onto it. I suggest factory resetting the phone before sending it back, however your data and information is probably being sold on the internet to companies already. This company has almost definitely paid off companies to give them a good rating such as this website as there are no good reviews but it says there are.

I was very happy with my doogee S60

I was very happy with my doogee S60. But I feel absolutely ripped off by the company. I bought a S40 for my wife in December 2019 from your own website. As it came to us it was not working and it was not even looking as a new phone. I got a mail from technical support and they gave me an address to send it to Poland to repair and so I did. I wrote as well to this address in Poland to let them know I was sending the phone. The result is I have paid 100 euro for a phone plus the sending of it and I never got it back. I got not even an answer from doogee or the Poland address were I sent it and no one in doogee,s technical support have helped me. I have wrote 25 mails and no one could tell me where is the phone I paid for. No one has cared for it. Terrific experience with your company. You got the money from me but I never got the phone. I felt happy with my phone as I think it's a great one but the way I was treated was horrible so instead of buying a new doogee I will buy another phone from another company.
As I said...I feel absolutely ripped off.

1 year on...

1 year on after purchasing S40 and this week the phone has wiped and destroyed my memory card, has a screen that is only on for 22 seconds even if you set it for longer and having to re-enter pins every time is becoming tiresome. Had a few Doogee handsets in the past that lasted well over 2 years. This time.. both handsets I've recently purchased lasted a little over 1 year, When they work they are great but as that seems to be only for a year!!

A year and a half ago I bought a Doogee Y9 +, the phone was great for the first year, smooth, fast, great battery life, but after a long time the battery is weak, the phone is slow and just bad.
And big minus, support for updates ended as soon as it started, the last update was a year and a half ago.
Now I'm just waiting for the phone to become inoperable and I can replace it.

Contacted doogee via ebay they offered me £5 to keep the phone, after my refusal several messages later they told me (you get what you pay for)
