doorstop warranty re peeling

Bought 2 Doorstop composite doors from a retailer 5 years and 2 months ago. After 5 years and a month the outer skin on one door (full sun) started to blister and peel. the second door (partial sun) also has evidence of minor peeling at this stage. The doors are "woodgrain" finish.
We contacted the retailer who in turn contacted Doorstop, their reply stated the door was outside warranty and therefore no further remedial action will be taken. I contacted Doorstop directly who said they would help but only through the reseller due to "data protection" . The end result is they would still do nothing about it.
We were under the impression these doors had a 10 year warranty but the small print says woodgrain is only guaranteed for 5 years ..... therefore not 5 years and 1 month as in our case!
From this it seems the life expectancy of these doors is not a "lifetime" but 5 years and 1 month
To say we are disappointed in this product is an understatement. Be very wary when buying from them, look elsewhere would be my recommendation.
PLEASE NOTE that many resellers / retailers supply this brand of door, please check before purchase!
I have tried uploading photos of these doors but am unable to do so for this company for some reason.

Had a Door stop composite door…

Had a Door stop composite door installed by a local cowboy installation company approx. 7 years ago. Year on year the gasket/seal at the bottom of the door has failed and needs to be replaced every year. Installation company would not do anything to effect a permanent repair.

The Guarantee and Fensa are not worth the paper they are printed on and are just another government body fleecing the public.

Anyway, got in touch with Door Stop to purchase the gasket/seal who responded very very quickly, low and behold they sent out a gasket with spare free of charge and no delivery costs either.

I do not know if the gasket/seal issue is a quality issue or installation issue even though I got an independent RISA report and they did not flag up a quality issue.

Customer service with Door Stop has been excellent in regards to a replacement gasket. If only other Companies were the same.

Don't take responsibility for faulty products

There is nowhere to go when these doors go bad. Ours is warped, the builder who installed it went bust, and Door-Stop refuse to talk to customers. Eventually I got someone to grudgingly point me to how to contact an installer, who might help. Their list of installers is a fiction - of 3 in our local area, one said they wouldn't work with Door-Stop again, and the other 2 are no longer in business. We have a door that is now a fire hazard, and nobody wants to know.

Rubbish quality doors and service from Door Stop

We are now on our second set of Door Stop composite doors, first set failed - bowed. We eventually had a second set provided. They too have failed, bowed plus the main locking plates breaking (not very secure). Supplied through Polar Windows of Chesterfield. Door Stop only deal with suppliers. My trade fitter ordered them through Polar Windows of Chesterfield, who went bust but are still trading with a slightly different name. Door Stop will only deal with supplier so we are stuck with no one taking responsibility and another pair of poor quality doors that are not worth the expensive cost to have them fitted. AVOID AVOID AVOID. The warranty is worthless. Going to have to go legal and use litigation to sue my trusted fitter and in turn they can can sue Door Stop, so much for all the 'our doors are so good' rubbish.

Disappointed quality

Composite exterior door was fitted just over 4 years ago, and the framing around the glass panel has come away on the outside. Concerned about security and disappointed with the quality. Have emailed them and waiting to see if they would reply. Fingers crossed.
