I hate this ISP

I hate this ISP. Their internet is SO slow that in games I usually have 1000-2000 ping. No, I do NOT recommend this service even though it is cheap. If I had to choose between burning my money or buying this service. I would choose to burn my money.

Customer Beware

I switched from Bell to Rogers 5 months ago because Bell prices would jump up materially (like double) which would require me to wait on line (for ages) to renegotiate. So I made a switch to Rogers. The Rogers service is horrible. The internet is slow, has interruptions in service at least twice a week, and we cannot get service in every part of the house even with boosters. So tomorrow I'm returning to Bell and we'll just live with their stealth billing practices. It's a "customer beware" environment we live in.

Just fed up!

I hate this company and I can’t wait for Bell Fibe to come into my area. So we have been having issues with our internet for 5 weeks now. It’s been lagging hard and we keep having the spinning wheel. We have called now 6 different times. We have had 3 people come out to check the line with another coming this afternoon. I’ve also talk to someone via Facebook messenger. First phone call we were told someone would come out that day. No one came and when we called back find out that the conversation wasn’t even put into our profile. So that call led to our first tech coming out to check the lines. Someone came out for 15 minute and said it was fine, yet never check the line going into the house, because our connection never went down. Since it was never fixed, we called back. That led to someone else coming out. He gave us a new modem switched some connecters and said all was good. Yet, he too never check the line coming into the house because the tech before said it was good so he took his word on it. Even though we ask for it to be checked. Still wasn’t fixed. So I message on Facebook. This lead to the discovery that the line going into the box was the issues. We were told 48 hours to 7 days for the fix. So we waited! No one came. We never saw a truck out to fix the line and the internet didn’t change. So we called back. The customer service on the phone combined our wifi with our 5G wifi and said it would fix it. Nope! Called back to get a new tech to come out, which end up being the first tech who said it was fine. He finally checked the line. Shocker it’s the line going into the house and the line going into the box that need to be replaced. Yet, he can’t do a temporary line for us, which is just BS! So now we have to wait another 4 to 8 week to get someone out to fix the line. Someone’s coming this afternoon because we can’t get a credit on our bill since the tech didn’t fill it out in his paperwork.

Just ridiculous!

This company swindles it's customers by failing to be forward with their terms and conditions before signing up and having the worst customer service. Do not recommend this company.

I thought had an easy request to just…

I thought had an easy request to just add an additional internet to another rental property. I called the toll free #, they told me to go to a store and just pick up a modem. I went to the store and they said we have to deliver the moden by courier and I couldn't leave with one. I said ok, but can you deliver to my home address and not to the rental property. They couldn't figure out to do that (because I already had rogers service to that address), but they offered me a rate of $39.99/month, for when they could figure it out. After an hour of being at the store with no progress, I had to leave for an another appointment . A few hours later I received an email of my account being set up, but it was $84.99/month. This was a surprise because when I left, I said I guess I have to go elsewhere, so I didn't authorize an account. BUT I needed an account and the moden was being delivered to the correct address, so I was happy and thought I could fix the price later. ..Because why wouldn't I be able to fix the price they had offered??. I called the toll free # to fix. A lovely associate answers the phone and says "No, I can't see an offer of $39.99, but I have one $44.99 and will note your account, as a back up offer. But go back to the store and they'll be able to give the original promotional offer. They won't be able to do that until you install the modem, so please wait for delivery." Delivery happens, I install the modem and then go back to store. The store level ppl couldn't help me, so we called *Rogers.* They do not offer that promotion, either $39.99 or $44.99 and do see I was offered it on the notes. "You will have to pay $84.99." I said I would like to cancel. "You will have to call back in 3 days to cancel, as your account is not activated in the system yet."

This situation, if not such a waste of my time, is completely laughable.

I don't understand the disconnect, or how this even happened.

I wish I could give a lower star than 1.

I bought a phone outright and they want…

I bought a phone outright and they want more $$

What's the point of buying a new iPhone outright for $1189 when they add a contract fee of $20/month for the next 3 years to it?

Shady as heck.

So done with Rogers. I have a business account with 7 employees phones and they don't really seem to care about anything other than $. I sure would be nice to have a cel phone brand in Canada that could do something nice for their customers.

In the US they have some great plans and great support. In Canada we are at the mercy of a bunch of pirates.

I tried to attach my emails showing my payment on the phone they couldn't/wouldn't even accept it or look at it, saying it wasn't within their capabilities to download the images. That's not true, I did it a couple years ago for a similar discrepancy.

When we signed up as a business and we had a female sales rep who was amazing, things got done and we were treated with respect and very well looked after. She quit (I can see why) and we haven't had an account rep do anything, nor has customer service, except take our money and make me frustrated. NOT COOL ROGERS.

Next time we are looking for a store plan it will not likely be with you unless you right your wrongs.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever I called to upgrade phone they changed my plan not even getting the upgrade was on phone for over a hour yesterday and got the run around stating their system was acting up and wouldn’t allow upgrade I was told to wait and it would be resolved in 24 hours called again now I got told 2 weeks but when I called a week ago they were still having the same issue with their system so a month of waiting to upgrade for damn headaches and lies. Not one person speaks English their either and thawing then try and sound like they know what they are doing is disgusting and them trying to sell everything else to you instead of fixing a customers need is more important as well as wasting your time just to get lied to .. I also had called almost 15 times in a year to have issue fixed on account and it only took till today to actually have it fixed... congrats Rogers on your crappy service and customer care but u have no issue stealing our money or cutting people off but can’t fix anything.

My wifi has not been working...

My wifi has not been working for the last 6 months, every time someone comes to fix it they make it worse instead. Even when they offer us updates in their technology, and say “it will be better now,” it gets worse. It’s gotten to the point where even our cable does not work anymore, as our television freezes every night. Overall, Rogers is a piece of poo and I really can’t stand it anymore, especially due to the extreme amount of money that they are getting from us.

Internet speeds / reliability is utter garbage

My ‘supposed’ 500/20 internet keeps dropping or running so slowly in the evenings it’s as bad as dial-up was in 1995. Techs are useless and can’t fix a damn thing, even though they say there is a problem with their system somewhere. Waste of time and waste of money. Avoid at all costs if you value your sanity!

My husband purchased a plan that was falsely sold to him and we paid the price

My husband purchased a plan because a sales rep sold him on the benefits of that plan. Unfortunately, we discovered the sales rep had falsely sold the plan to include my cell for coverage in US and Canada when we received an inflated bill following our visit to the US. No one at Rogers was able to assist us and, while the original phone rep was respectful, her supervisor accused my husband of lying and refused to credit the overcharge. My husband explained over and over again that the sales rep had assured him this new plan would provide me with coverage and the supervisor refused to provide the credit and continued to support Rogers. Why, having been a customer of Rogers for 12 years, are we being treated like this? Terrible customer service and absolute lack of ownership.

I made 2 calls to request information…

I made 2 calls to request information on my billing activity so I could give some numbers to my accountant. The first agent wasted my time tying to convince me he knew what he was talking, when I reminded him of why I was calling he changed the subject and long story short he was more interested in not dealing with me because he didn't know how to do his job! The second call was no better as I wasted another 30 mins trying to request my information at the end he finally transferred to rogers credit operations. Which was closed! Totally useless customer service agents who care more about avoiding looking incompetent rather than doing their jobs.

DO NOT EVER SIGN UP WITH ROGERS!

Whatever you do, do not sign up with Rogers - they will rip you off. Quite the 1+ hour event on the phone with Rogers today. Rogers has been charging us $5 per month FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS for a tablet that we do not have. The best that Manager Adelina could do for me was to credit me $30 of the $300 they charged me. Oh and Rogers cannot send me a paper bill (even though I am unable to access my bill online) - "you must go online to access your bill".

Was charged 200 dollars for…

Was charged 200 dollars for international texting. Was not made aware that I was being charged in the first place, and upon call to support, nothing could be done. In comparison, Fido offers $45 for unlimited international texting. I needed to make 6 calls to even contact them, as their automatic calling system will sometimes hang up, and upon contacting one of their agents, they gave nothing but static for several minutes, and then hung up. The reception isn't even good, and the call literally failed while calling for support.
