My experience with Drew Smith Carpentry during a loft conversion project was extremely disappointing.

The project was agreed as a fixed-price contract and involved the construction of two bedrooms and a bathroom within a new dormer roof. Throughout the works, numerous concerns arose regarding the quality of workmanship and the overall management of the project.

The most serious issues involved water entering the property on two separate occasions while the roof was under construction. This resulted in newly installed timber materials becoming saturated and affected rooms below. A water pipe was also accidentally damaged during the works, requiring further attention. In addition, a significant number of items required remedial work before completion, including flooring, finishing details, and various aspects of the installation that did not meet the standard I expected.

As concerns continued to arise, I was forced to document issues, compile snagging lists, and issue multiple formal letters requesting responses and corrective action. Despite these efforts, many matters remained unresolved for extended periods, resulting in further disruption and stress.

I have retained photographs, videos and written correspondence relating to the issues raised throughout the project. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again and cannot recommend their services.

If I could go back in time, I wish I had never bought this house.

Buying this house from Drew Smith was the worst decision in my life.

We have sent follow up email to your customer service team for repair follow up and arrangement since Apr 2024. No update schedule and/or solution was given so far. We have sent a complaint email in July 18, 2024 to complaint team but no reply from Drew Smith so far.

Unfortunately, no reply . . . . . Very dissatisfied and disappointed.

We recently bought a Drew Smith Home. It has been plagued with issues, too many to mention on here. It’s been a constant battle to get them to rectify anything. They all too often go back on their word. No aftercare. Avoid at all costs.

Are you informing potential buyers that your customers service is absolutely abysmal and that the Summer Fields estate has been left to rot! We have been here 14 months and our bay is still leaking despite 4 attempts to repair it. Guttering is hanging off and our garden gets waterlogged and becomes unusable. 14 months and these issues still haven't been addressed! Drew Smith also seems to have abandoned the children's playground which is a total disgrace, a safety hazard an eyesore.

In the course of buying a new property from Drew Smith and have been very impressed by the very high quality service provided by their site representative David Hughes,who has been extremely helpful throughout the process,from start to finish.Nothing is ever too much trouble and my wife and I are very grateful.

I live in a property build by Drew Smith and the only thing I'm lucky about is that i didn't buy it, i rent it from a local association. I've no doubt they built the flats to lastest regulations however the quality of the build is so poor the impact of noise generated from neighbouring flats has massively impacted my life, sound's daft I'd imagine but when you can't get a single night's sleep because all you can hear is talking/arguing/crying/closing of doors and general movement every single day/night. I am not isolated either all my neighbours complain of the same thing, the noise is excessive and some have moved out because of it. I've only glad i haven't purchased this property. I work hard and want to be able to come home and relax and that simply isn't possible in a Drew Smith property.
