The Great Dubai Police
My name is Shiva, I really want to write to say thank you for the Dubai department, for being so good in supporting and accommodating any request we come with, so polite, so Gentle in response, going an extra mile to assist, Amazing, this doesn't happen in our very country, I'm grateful and thankful, i want to thank specially one gentleman in Burdubai police station, he was so amazing and helpful, His name is Mr. abdulla alharfi.
I recently had an absolutely hideous…
I recently had an absolutely hideous experience with the Dubai Police while riding the tram, and it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I feel compelled to share it. As a tourist in what is supposed to be a world-class, welcoming city, I expected professionalism and courtesy, but what I encountered was childish behavior and outright rudeness that made me question if I’ll ever return.
Let me start with the specific incident: I was on the tram and briefly put my foot up on the seat opposite me—just for a second—because I have a serious injury that’s causing me a lot of pain (it’s almost like it’s broken, and it’s visibly swollen, so it’s not like it’s a secret). Out of nowhere, an officer sits right next to me and starts barking orders in Arabic, assuming I wouldn’t understand. Why Arabic? Dubai is a global hub full of international visitors—speak English or at least try to communicate clearly! When I didn’t immediately respond (because, surprise, I was confused), he calls over his friends. Suddenly, three officers are crowding around me, sitting next to me like they’re ganging up, all to tell me to remove my foot from the chair. It was such a simple thing—why the overkill? A polite “Ma’am, please, feet shouldn’t be on the seats; there’s a fine for that” would have sufficed. I genuinely didn’t know about the fine, and I explained my injury, but they just laughed it off and acted like I was some criminal.
This wasn’t an isolated rudeness; I’ve noticed Dubai Police often speak in a very abrasive manner, treating everyone like suspects rather than people. Not everyone is the same—some of us are tourists contributing to your economy! Dubai prides itself on being a touristic paradise, but if officers keep talking down to visitors like this, you’ll lose major tourists like myself.
Overall, this experience felt targeted and unnecessary. The officers were rude, laughed at my situation, and turned a minor issue into a spectacle. Dubai Police, you need to train your staff on basic manners and cultural sensitivity if you want to keep attracting high-end tourism. One star—avoid if possible, or at least hope you don’t have to interact with them.
The worsest police worldwide

A Heartfelt Thank You to Rashidiya…
A Heartfelt Thank You to Rashidiya Police Station Officers
I want to express my sincere gratitude to Officer Thani Ahmed and Officer Abdullah Adel at Rashidiya Police Station for their kindness and professionalism. They went above and beyond to assist me, even taking pictures of my car themselves instead of letting me stand in the sun to upload them on the police app. Their thoughtful gesture made me feel comfortable and truly cared for while at the station.
Their dedication, patience, and professionalism reflect the highest standards of service.
A big salute to Dubai Police for their outstanding efforts in ensuring safety, comfort, and trust for everyone. Officers like Thani Ahmed and Abdullah Adel embody the values that make the UAE a global leader in public service and security.
Heartfelt thanks to our visionary leaders whose guidance and commitment have built a nation where such excellence is the norm.

I visited rashidiya police station today for details related to implementation of one court verdit. It resulted in disturbing experience, the duty officer was too rude to speak. However, ultimately was able to discuss but still feeling uncomfortable about today's short visit to the station.
Website broken, unable to dispute a wrong traffic fine
I tried to dispute a traffic fine of me not wearing a seatbelt which is 100% incorrect since my car beeps if i go over 10 km/hr without wearing it. they never showed me a picture and charging me 400 aed. I tried to dispute it but their website is broken. they said email us and i did and they replied saying i can only do disputes through the same broken site. I now have to pay 400 unfairly due to an incorrect fine. Now i am outside of the UAE and the site doesn't allow you to do anything while you are out of the UAE.
This image of Dubai being crime free…
This image of Dubai being crime free and police being tough on crime is all a lie. There are so many scams going on in Dubai where tourist are targeted by gangs and the police refuse to do anything about it. The police just ignore the complaints and let these gangs run with impunity.

God bless the person who returned my lost item and the police, maybe if we were in another country the process would take longer. But here they call me to give me the good news in less than 24 hours. Dubai police use to be respected by…
Dubai police use to be respected by many but now the very safety has been trampled on by the police. Evidence in al warsan 2 police station, where people are taken with no crimes and complete documents, detained and forced to pay flight, as for my expirience I was detained for 50days with no crime and my money was stolen by the so call Egyptian security hired from invest hemaya 56 to act as CID. How can we trust the police and CID with our safety when they contact thiefs as securities to assault residents and detain them in terrible condition and disrespect the human rights. Dubai should be sued for human right abuse and assaults on residents of over 9000 individual and some died in the process and others injured and tourist are not left out.

The worst police in the world i ever seen.. im renowned advocate from india and coming for visiting dubai, Someone snatched my money and ran away. I complained to the police and called emergency but they found some excuse and did not take any action and sent me away.
I feel very ashamed that why Dubai police is considered so good, these people are useless, they do not help people at all, their attitude is very rude and unprofessional towards the tourist. Dubai is no longer safe, a lot of atrocities and thefts and frauds are happening here. Be careful
The worst police in life.
The worst police in life.. they are only good for social Media and reach people only.. not for the poor people... 200aed is nothing for them.. but it's huge amount for the poor people.. even I'm in critical situation I'll never ask help from Dubai police .. Now i know they will never help us... They are only for social media and for vvip
Very shame about Dubai police
Very shame about Dubai police, only good for the social media show up- my window was cracked by attack from bunch of drunk people and asked for a help from Dubai police, none even show up after 1 hour even I begged for help 4 times in call- my daughter got trauma from the attack she is very scared!(if it’s any other country in the world then police must be there in 30 minutes- but Dubai Police simply ignore the crime.
Dubai is not safe to live anymore!
We have experienced it 3 times now and no helps from authorities! (I may be deported or jailed but this is the reality)

Extremely Poor Treatment at CID Dubai -- Dubai Police HQ
I can only speak of my experience. Today, I was treated like a 'dog' at the Dubai Police HQ - CID Division. The civilian/officer who takes in complaints barked at me, while I had taken the trouble to type my complaint into Google translate into Arabic so that they would have to trouble with language. He did not bother to read it & just kept barking orders at me. Generally, Emirati's a genuinely nice people, but this CID Officer was just the most rude/crude person I have ever met. This was an original complaint made at Al Barsha police who couldn't solve the problem. Really, never been treated so poorly. When he finished with me, he shouted "GO,GO,GO". I hope the Head of the CID & HRH Sheikh MBR sees my complaint & takes necessary action. Dubai claims to be the "Happiest City in the World"...with people like this, the face of Dubai, I dont see any happiness. Perhaps learn a lesson or 2 from Singapore.
i love Dubai Police
