We've purchased both individual eduGear…

We've purchased both individual eduGear CMT Chromebooks and bundles that include a charging cart and we've found it to be the best value and most cost-effective answer to our needs. The Chromebooks are built solidly to stand up to the wear and tear of classroom use. Replaceable batteries greatly simplify upkeep and extend their lifecycles. The ability to convert to tent and tablet formats gives us great flexibility. And they're backed by CDI support. At times it can take a little longer to get replacements or parts due to customs, but it's worth the wait. We'll continue to use eduGear to provide student and teacher devices.

Very impressed so far

We ordered an eduGear Smart Charging cart for our iPad Minis. The iPads could fit in the slots easily even with their chunky cases. We liked how the power outlets were arranged on the back too, so there was plenty of room. Construction looked very solid and carefully designed. There was no problems setting it all up. Only quibbles would be that it would nice if they could be ordered in different trim colours and they supplied more nylon ties. Still both teachers and students were wowed by good it looks.

THESE LAPTOPS ARE VERY SLOW AND THEY ARE JUNK

I am currently an 8th grade student over at McDevitt Middle School in Waltham, Massachusetts. Very disappointed/ angry that the Waltham Public Schools switched to the edugear chromebooks, Shame on them. They were actually just trying to be cheap and give us junk laptops. These laptops are incredibly slow, the keyboard/ typing is very slow. the cameras are very dark and they take really bad photos. How am I going to submit an assignment or do a project that requires pictures/ videos. Some classes I need a different device to record video. Wouldn’t it be better to switch to an android tablet or keep the iPads because I can’t even use my phone. It can’t even take good photos of my assignments that I did. Plus, I can’t even take a good screenshot because the screen camera won’t let me, even though I’m using the right buttons to take a screenshot , Many students at McDevitt hate the chromebooks because of that reason. THEY ACT LIKE THEY ARE USED JUNK THAT CAME OFF OF EBAY!!! I’m not trying to be ungrateful. I just have a bad experience with chromebooks.

Very Nice

This is a great unit. This one is for my ten year old who is homeschooled.
Lots of ports, expandable memory and a super-solid, heavy feel to it. With a very clear screen and a full sized keyboard, it's perfect for homeschooling work, and with its ruggedized construction, it's perfect for travel and field trips. It compares very nicely apples to apples with my Samsung Chromebook Plus, which is an almost $450 unit.

10/10.
