Egoitaliano in Milton…

The service from Egoitaliano in Milton Keynes Keynes has been very good.
The whole process from beginning in the store, the communication, delivery, unpacking and building was seemless.

Lack of communications

On April 2025, I purchased a sofa couch from Egoitaliano in Bluewater, although the sofa couch was not delivered until July 2025. Throughout the process, the Egoitaliano store in Bluewater was lack in communicating status updates on expected delivery. A few times dates which were promised were never met, when the sofa couch did arrive, it was damaged, again with a long wait for repairs. As compensation we had been promised cushions which were never delivered. Unfortunately, I will not be purchasing any products from Egoitaliano in the future.

Wrong item manufactured. At least 3 month wait to correct their mistake.

The response below is demonstrably untrue. They manufactured and delivered a much larger item in the correct material than we ordered. So they could have made the correct one in the first place.

The showroom checked that they still had sufficient material to produce the correct one before they went on holiday. The leather needs to match.

We are told that the correct item will be dispatched from Italy in two days, supposedly. It will not reach us for two weeks. The total time from the factory returning to work after a holiday shutdown will hopefully be 8 weeks. This is the upper limit of their stated normal delivery time for a new order.

They messed up and could not care less about putting it right.

Factory made and delivered an incorrect item. It took a week for them to agree they had made a mistake when it was clear from the order paperwork that they had.

Then they treated the replacement as a new order and put it to the back of the queue to manufacture.

This is completely unacceptable. They are making no effort to correct their mistake.

Item was ordered in April and they now say it will be delivered in October, they hope.

Order was placed in their UK showroom, for a 2.5 seater sofa, a 2 seater sofa and an armchair. The sofas were correctly made, but instead of an armchair they delivered an extra large armchair 1.5m wide. The order paperwork correctly stated a standard armchair 1m wide.

The local store didn’t initially send the correct samples for us to confirm the colour which caused a delay.

They then were unable to telephone when the order arrived at their warehouse to arrange delivery but didn’t email. They also didn’t inspect the order on arrival to check it was correct.

And their computer changed the order number from the one in our paperwork to a new one for the factory and delivery while our original order number was then used as a new order number for another customer when they changed the one on their paperwork to a new one in the same way. It was explained that this was what computer did automatically. But it obviously created further confusion and delay.

Unfortunately, the delay in the replacement was caused by the technical lead times needed to source certain materials that were not available. This affected the production times, especially for a customized item like the one we offer.
