do not waste ur time on elc

Ordered a swing due for delivery by 16th may never showed up the tracking stopped working I couldn’t get hold of elc after sending maybe 5 emails I got a reply to say my parcel was lost in transit and then they took another month to give me my money back so do not waste your time buying from here it’s not worth it my kids were so upset they didn’t get a swing I ordered from Argos with no problems

Faulty item which they refuse to replace

Faulty item which they refuse to replace!

Bought a happyland fire station for my sons 2md birthday and at £44 was not cheap but it looked good and advertised it played sounds etc.

However when I set it all up 2 nights ago it doesnt work and elc refusing to replace it as it was bought at a mothercare store and not an entertainer store....despite the fact they still currently stock this product and could replace.

Honestly spend your hard earned cash elsewhere

Ordered 2 items from the ELC a wooden…

Ordered 2 items from the ELC a wooden push along kitchen and accessories to go with it. Order was for my nephews 1st birthday. Order was placed on the 7th May at the time of placing order website informed 10 working days for delivery. After placing order Delivery Eta was 18th. 18th May came and went I waited 3 more days just incase it had been delayed due to current climate but had no delivery. Checked my email to find an email informing order has been dispatched, I clicked on track but it just gave me an error saying unable to track.
I went on their Website to try and contact them, at the time live chat was available so I queried why I couldn't track the order, they just told me that the order was not picked up by the Warehouse... which obviously didn't make any sense because they sent me email to say order on the way its been dispatched. But any way customer advisor was not providing any answers and was beating round the bush avoiding the question. So he advised he will 'push' my order through and promised it would arrive Saturday 23rd May.
we are now on the 30th May and I still haven't received my orders. They have taken my money and left me with no goods. Customer service is absolutely dispicable. I have tried contacting them on 3 separate occasions and now the only way I can contact them is via email... I have left them 2 emails and yet no reply.
IF YOU CAN'T FULLFILL CUSTOMER ORDERS YOU SHOULD HAVE SHUT YOUR DOORS LIKE OTHER RESPONSIBLE RETAILERS AND NOT BUILD FALSE HOPES IN YOUR CUSTOMERS.
THIS IS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME I WILL BE ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE. I most definitely will not reccomend the ELC AND THE ENTERTAINER TO ANYONE.

Ordered toys they said a date that they were coming they never turned up so they have taken my money and 2 weeks later I have tried to get hold of them though emails on messages and ringing . They just ignore me completely. I will be going to Smith's in future but I do hope that I can get my money back . Mrs Theobald

Placed an order for 2 items on 2nd May…

Placed an order for 2 items on 2nd May with an estimated delivery date of 13th May via Hermes. Hermes failed to deliver it and when I chased it up with Hermes, they asked me to contact ELC. I had emailed ELC and sent them 2 Facebook messages, with no response. It is pathetic that they haven't even acknowledged my email or any messages, can't even demand an investigation, replacement or refund

Ordered 2 items on the 5th of may for…

Ordered 2 items on the 5th of may for my sons birthday :) i had an email saying it would be delivered the 14th so would be here in time :) but nothing came :( after numerous attempts to contact by email i messaged them on fb and was told they would look into, i had no message back for a few days so i contacted yodal myself and they told me they didnt have the item. Elc contacted me today saying the item is maybe lost in transit🤔 and that they will send out another item that will take another 10 days to come. Not asking me if i would like a replacement just went ahead and decided for me🤔 i have sent a message on fb and customer services asking to cancel and refund now. This has really tested my patients i wont be buying with elc or entertainer again.

Would give ZERO stars

I placed an order on 2nd May. I was informed this would be delivered on 11th May. By the 13th it had no arrived, I managed to speak to elc via Facebook and they offered me a refund or a replacement. I asked when the replacement could be delivered as its for my sons birthday. I never got a response, I have sent 2 further messages, posted on their Facebook page and emailed them. I have had no response

Ordered some baby toys but after a long wait, it came with a faulty fish bubble machine & contacted the customer service, they replied at the beginning asked for photos & told me they’ll send a new one but after that they just ignored me..... worst customer service!

The rest of the reviews are true DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!

I do not recommend anyone buying from this company and after reading the rest of the reviews I wish I never bothered. If you’re looking for a toy please buy elsewhere! I’ve worked in customer services before and their customer service is as shocking as their next day delivery! I placed my order on Sunday 2nd Feb with next day delivery making sure it arrives in time for my child’s birthday this week, £4.99 for next day delivery which I didn’t mind as long as it arrived next day! Didn’t arrive Monday, didn’t arrive Tuesday and still no sign of it Wednesday still isn’t out for delivery! They refunded my next day straight away apologised for the “delay” and said it should’ve still been out for delivery yesterday, however yesterday afternoon I received an email from the delivery service to say they had only just received my order with them yesterday! Well they lied I don’t believe this was sent on a next day service and I wouldn’t have got my money back if I didn’t email! What makes it more embarrassing for them is that I purchased some other things from a different toy company the same day BUT it was standard delivery and it arrived yesterday!! I’ll never bother with this company again, it’s a shame because they have nice stores it’s their online service that is horrendous and puts me off even going in store.

If I could give zero stars I would...

If I could give zero stars I would. Shocking shocking shocking. Ordered lots of items for babies first Christmas. Paid for express delivery. No sign of my delivery - despite them taking the money from my account over a week ago. AVOID AND GO ELSEWHERE. The worst customer service ever. Spent hours on the phone going round in circles. They blame the courier (Yodel) and tell lie after lie. If you can find the stuff you want elsewhere then do so. Will never use again!!!!!

Bad Service

I ordered two sets of complete flash cards at the end of November. I didn’t receive a confirmation email or any update to tell me to collect my items. I contacted the customer service to see were my order was up to, to be told there was an error. The customer service advisor then sent the items out express delivery to receive them today, only to find one item in the box and a note to say the other is out of stock!!!!

I ordered my granddaughters Christmas…

I ordered my granddaughters Christmas present on line, I didn’t receive the confirmation email needed to collect it, I spent time on their live chat where they gave me a reference number and said I would receive an email, still didn’t receive an email and the reference was incorrect so couldn’t collect. Spoke to someone in customer services who looked into this, confirmed they had received the money but still couldn’t provide me with a reference or an email, they refused to give me my money back. Still haven’t got my goods and still waiting for someone to come back to me. Don’t spend your money on line with elc as you may never see your money or goods again

Bunch of absolute crooks

Bunch of absolute crooks. Friend purchased vouchers for ELC not accepted by ELC since take over by the entertainer. Waste of money. Consider needs of business rather than customers. I will never buy an ELC product again. They should treat loyal customers better.

money is their motive

A company that puts money before children. If you have a faulty product through no fault of your own but are not able to present the receipt (ie this was a gift for your child from their friend) the company will do absolutely nothing to help, even though the product is faulty.
One very disappointed 3 year old and one parent who will not be buying from this store again

Heading for the dustbin of history

As others on this site have said; a combination of ELC and Yodel means that basically you won't get what you ordered on time - or ever in my case. The latter part of the 20th and early part of the 21st centuries must just have been a blur for ELC - they (and their partners) are clearly destined to be another "high street casualty" and they will bemoan how hard it all is when the fact is simply that they are hopeless. They simply do not "get" internet selling to the point where they do not even send out confirmatory emails when you make a purchase - unless you note the order number at the web level - hard luck! Their customer service people are very nice and actually do useful things to retrieve situations (like the fact that they were actually unable to get a box from their warehouse to the original courier (Hermes) without losing it), but what they cannot deal with is that ELC use third tier delivery services (because presumably they are cheap) and even when the courier (Yodel this time) gets it on a complimentary next day delivery they don't deliver it - Yodel actually lied to me "card left" twice when no card was left because they couldn't find me. I cancelled at that point. ELC management must either not know what is going on or possibly know the situation is beyond recall and can't be bothered to sort it out because this is costing them a fortune in lost sales.
