My new capture card became damaged after installing Elgato Studio and running the update. After going back and forth via email for over a week with their customer service, providing photo/video proof, and repeating myself multiple times, I was finally offered to return the product for a new one. I asked to receive a refund instead and had to submit a new request to be approved. This is taking a very long time and at this rate my return availability time will run out. I have purchased many Elgato products before, so this is very disappointing.

extremely crappy experience using the stream deck mini, for 60$ this crap has an update every single time I start up my pc which takes forever. While it updates every time you start the pc, it doesn't work at all and you have to wait. 0/10 will be selling this on ebay and taking a loss.

Horrific experience in totality! Ordered an item that only half of was delivered and when enquiring about the second half, the order was only placed then after u had to contact them to follow up.
Customer Service (Blake) constantly dodged responsibility and wouldn’t provide information as requested before going on to not reply unless being chased.
Really poor experience and will not be doing business with Elgato again.

I was getting back into streaming and already acquired my new spaceship PC. I was looking to upgrade a few things and I was really unhappy with the mic that I was using, so I ordered the Elgato DX mic, a StreamDeck +, a mic arm and some pink control knobs for the StreamDeck +. A very close friend of mine is a relatively well known streamer, and has a partnership with Elgato, so I had no worries.
When the items arrived, I was super bummed to realize that the DX mic did not have a cable. Apparently it was designed to connect to the Wave XLR, which I do not own nor did I plan on purchasing. After communicating this to my friend's Elgato connection, he said he was going to make it up to me by shipping me a cable and a Wave XLR.
3 weeks have passed since the conversation took place. I received a very lightweight package in the mail from Elgato. It was 2 XLR-XLR cables. A cable I have no connection for and therefore no use for. There was no Wave XLR included as promised. I have initiated a return for the microphone and I am going to send the cables back as I have no use or need for them. I probably will not do business with this company again in the future.

1st December ordered an Elgato Stream Deck, with a free faceplate. No problem. The Stream deck said expected to ship in a few days.
The free faceplate was dispatched and received (why they did not wait for the main unit to come in stock first I'll never understand)
The main Stream Deck did not dispatch, but several days later I got another email saying dispatch expected 12th December. Fair enough.....or so I thought.....
That day has now been and gone and not dispatched. The order still says "To be processed".
No more emails, so I checked on the original View Order on the original receipt
It NOW says on my order page "This item is currently on backorder but is expected to ship 28/01/2026. "
This is unacceptable! It was bought as a xmas present, and they have already sent out the free useless item that requires the main item.
I now do not know if I'm ever going to get it in time for xmas which will result in an upset child. And if I cancel the order, then I'll likely have to return the absolutely useless free faceplate, and be expected to pay return shipping fees etc, through no fault or my own due to them being unable to complete the original order
edit: ok their system is a failure during peak times with the above issues, however their customer service is good and reached out, kept me updated and did get the product delivered in time, so updated from 1 to 4, only losing point because of the original worries caused

I have mixed feelings about this company. They flirt with greatness but ultimately disappoint. Their marketing is stellar, the products are (mostly) sexy as hell, and when they work, they are remarkable things of beauty. The main trouble is with their software which, far from being sexy, feels poorly thought-through and ramshackle. It’s finicky as hell. It may work fine for a spell but upgrade your router or make some other change and brace yourself— a cascade of troubles ensues. Which is totally unacceptable because this stuff ain’t exactly cheap. I don’t mind paying for quality but after spending thousands in gear with this company, I’m hanging up my Elgato jersey. Creators rely on their tools working, well, yes—RELIABLY! And that just isn’t Elgato. The Key Lights MK2 are problematic. The prompter is problematic, and the stream deck can be a little princess at times. All are potentially amazing products but are betrayed by the crappy software interface and the software managing things behind the scenes. What a shame! To be so good at understanding what creators need and lust after, only to disappoint them on the back end. Oh well. It’s the new M.O. for corporate America in 2025 and for the likes of enterprises like Corsair. These products don’t ultimately suck because when they work they work great, but when they suck, boy-oh-boy do they suck, HARD.

Don’t do it. Purchased an Elgato Ring Light. Decent product until the light stops working unexpectedly. To be fair to Elgato they honored their warranty and sent out a replacement light after weeks and weeks of faffing around with forms and returns boxes etc. (This part is why o gave them 2 stars not one).
New product arrived, set it up and away we go again until the light went again. It’s a lot of hassle so I slept on it for a few weeks and the original warranty expired by the time I got back in touch. Result = tough sh*t!
So in conclusion, two different products, exactly the same fault, warranty expires > your loss for investing in a defective product.

The products the company provides are often defective.
I bought a set of mini light (battery powered), and studio lights (cable powered). The whole outlay >1k$.
After a year the battery of the key light had expanded and stopped working. The service department was less than no use. They just drain your time, string you along and after weeks then refuse to replace the item (as I had to dispose of it a safety concern).
The other items have been temperamental from a hardware perspective and unstable from a support ware support perspective.
Avoid this company!
ADDENDUM-
After escalation they did send a replacement light. A bit time consuming- but does at least appear they’re making an effort with customer service

Ordered a plugin for my Stream deck, apart from being massively overpriced it didnt work as advertised.
Asked for a refund, got told to speak with the guy who designed it - who isnt even English and hasnt replied anyway. Money was paid to Elgato, not this seller. Refused a refund.
Now someone has edited the plugin page to exclude mention of the feature which is broken and Elgato support saying it doesnt say that anymore, so I cant have a refund....provided evidence to show it did used to say that, but now stuck.
Wont be buying anymore from them and advise other not to either!

Ordered a small item (£5 value) on the 21st October, paid £10 shipping costs, and got an order confirmation. Item was showing as in-stock when ordered, so I assumed delivery would be within a few days. Chased on 26th October, only to be told that the item was 'prepared for shipping', and would be with me soon. Chased again on the 28th (item still hadn't shipped), and asked for the order to be cancelled, as I'd got it from elsewhere. The order then miraculously shipped the next day, and almost immediately afterwards, I received a reply from Customer Support telling me that they could no longer cancel my order as it had shipped. Dishonest and misleading, which is a shame, as I've previously been happy with Elgato.

I had a problem with the Chat Link Pro cable. My first contact was with a very friendly AI... Then I received an email from customer service. I sent all my details, and my problem was solved immediately. Thanks again.

ignoring a security software defect is not a solution.

I bought the paid version of EpocCam years ago. Elgato discontinued the app without ever notifying paying customers directly, no email, no in-app notice, nothing. That alone is a clear violation of both EU and Swedish consumer law, and also Apple’s own refund policy.
When I contacted their support, I was dragged through weeks of scripted replies, contradictions, and excuses. At one point they even admitted they could refund through the App Store, then immediately backtracked and pushed PayPal instead, without ever offering to cover the fees that would leave me with less than what I paid.
The result? I never got my refund. What I got instead was a long lesson in how little Elgato cares about its customers or the laws they are supposed to follow.
Elgato/Corsair is not consumer-friendly, not creator-friendly, and absolutely not trustworthy. Think twice before you spend money with them, if they can treat paying customers like this over a simple app, imagine how they’ll handle bigger issues.
4/9/25: After 1 week of silence, Elgato finally responded, but only after my Trustpilot review went up. Classic damage control.
9/9/25: Elgato finally paid up via PayPal, covering all fees as promised. The end.

Elgato programmers are the pits and their support sucks! I purchased their $200 Steam Deck + mainly to control Spotify as this unit has 4 knobs. Well, Elgato programmers are so lazy they don't even create their own apps and instead rely on ONE third party developer who has a crappy Spotify app that will NOT install in Steam Deck +! When I tried to have Elgato support help me solve it not validating (a widely known issue) Spotify, he said well it doesn't work so you'll have to reach out to the app developer? WTAF Elgato?? You are too lazy or cheap (probably don't want to have to support software) to create a plugin for the largest streaming music service on the planet. Needless to say this unit and the HUB that goes with it are all being returned to Amazon in the morning. I hope you choke on returns!

I ordered the new Stream Deck scissor key unit. When I received it, the unit was faulty, as one key gets stuck and becomes unusable. I contacted their support and tried to return the item too but haven’t received a response from either yet. Terrible customer support — it seems the one stuck with a faulty unit is me.

Bought about 400 dollars worth of lights, which would have been fine, if some genius hadn't thought it a great idea to not include any controls. Only works via wifi, which has broken on me many times, and since switching to a more modern router basically nothing works anymore.
Ah yes, I also had to order a replacement adapter at some point because it broke. Making it the first adapter in my life to ever break.
Reply to Elgato (cannot seem to actually reply, only edit)
The problem with the pairing issue is that I shouldnt have to think about pairing. Who builds a lamp that doesnt work without wifi 2.4? Why skimp out on a power button?
The adapter just broke. Low quality plastic. This shouldnt be a surprise to you, since you sell back up adapters, that were also sold out for a long time.

Bored of creating profiles for buttons for them to just stop working each time I restart. I wish I'd not bought the physical product if I had of known how buggy it would have been.
