Is not any more an hospital. Is nearly becoming a graveyard. Bad slow service. I went for appendicitis. 8 hours to do a scan. This is a joke. We pay a lot of tax in this country. Bad place to be. La... See more

Utterly useless service
Utterly useless service. Have been back and forth and sat in queues for hours at Harrogate hospital. Been misdiagnosed with a skin condition and fobbed off, prescribed creams that only made my condition worse and half the staff can barely speak English. I'm sure this is due to the difficulty of getting staff since Brexit, but it's not fit for purpose and a waste of taxpayers hard earned money now.
Mixed
Whilst the NHS is huge and varied, this review is specifically for NHS dermatology.
I know people who have positive experience, indeed, Ive had many positive experiences with the wider NHS, but mine with dermatology is very negative.
Kent NHS dermatology clinic proved to be incompetent, arrogant, dismissive, uncomunicative, unprofessional and ultimately ineffective.
The people I spoke to were clearly incapable of social interaction. Intent on defending their dysfunctional conduct. I get it that they probably often encounter rude disgruntled customers but maybe don't treat everyone thus? How did they make it to managerial positions!?
Ive heard that it depends on the person you see, its hit and miss. This clinic may well contain excellence, but unfortunately, they were not who I encountered.
Forced to go private, proved to be an eye opener.
That private, ( ex NHS) dermatologist said they spend much of their time countering the out of date and innaccurate views of NHS dermatology practitioners.
One private consultation was more productive than many months, ( years), of innefective NHS treatment.
Whilst complaints of over subscription and under funding of the NHS are true, ( this hits the largely excellent front line workers), the primary problem with the NHS is incredibly poor management. Whilst it performs admirably in many areas, Its also oftimes an unweildy, fragmented dysfunctional organisation.
A percentage of the population are grifters, so statistically those will make their way in to all sorts of employ. Because the NHS is so huge, there is inevitably a percentage of under performers present. Enough to cause dysfunction is areas.
Unlike in most companies, it seems failure in the NHS goes without consequence. So failing continues unabated.
For example, my GP was convicted of fraud, but continued to work, I say work, he turned up, but didnt actually do anything productive. In fact made things worse. Attempted to do as little as possible. Got away with it for years. ( didnt keep records, to cover his tracks, caused all sorts of mayhem.), Thank goodness hes now disappeared, hopefully retired, where he can't blight people's lives.
A final note, but a real doozy.
I was due to have hernia surgery.
I had a meeting with the surgeon beforehand. It was a wierd exchange, really unnerved me when he said, ' are you going to let me operate on you?'
A few days later, a pop up randomly appeared on my computer. It was a news story about a surgeon who was under investigation because a lot of his patients were dying. It was my surgeon!!! Of course I cancelled, got another to perform the surgery.
How on earth was Dr Death allowed to continue working whilst under investigation for killing people!?
My guardian angel was looking out for me that day!

You simply murdered my partner
You simply murdered my partner. You refused to treat his cancer which then spread anywhere. He already had two strokes, which you didn't properly by not administering the right medications and has a result he was left half paralysed. You then refused him any help on the sick joke that he was "not unwell enough". You refused him a place in a hospice even when the cancer had spread in his brain and couldn't do stairs anymore to get to bed. You left him strapped in his armchair with syringe drive in both arms, delirious & having fits with the only care of myself & our younger son. We saw him dying and couldn't help, we called you and you took your time, only to turn up, do a few checks and living me with the body. You are the most disgusting organisation ever, full of over paid, over entitled and incompetent lazy foolsYou should be all charged for murder and the all organisation shut down. You forgot that your wages come from the tax payers of which my darling was part of for 40 years. If I can hurt any of you in any way I will as I have nothing else to live for now

I have been treated regularly at the ROYAL BOURNEMOUTH hospital for the last 9 years and received the best clinical and nursing care all for a small National Insurance payment. It disgusts me to read many of the comments here, and I dread to think how most of the ungrateful people behave when in hospital, you me make ashamed to be British, having spent 6 weeks in hospital the way supposedly ill people speak to the people taking care of them is disgusting, like petulant children, how about a bit of appreciation! You try doing the job they they do with no thanks Shame on you!

HC5REFUND staff are the most unhelpful people. I repeatedly asked for help as I didn't understand what they wanted and then they replied with the same information I didn't understand.
Several communications saying I didn't understand met with the same reply. I told them I needed help only to be ignored.
I'm sure they are understaffed like most departments.
However, empathy and understanding after telling them I needed help isn't something they offer.
Horrible experience.
Its a shit show
Its a shit show. I went to A&E for internal bleeding at 11:41 pm walked out at 2:32 am with the same internal bleeding and infection and in sever pain without seeing a doctor. Why are we paying taxes? This is nonsense and its taking humans health lightly while we are paying taxes. Where our money goes? Into their pockets? Into their bank account? This is theft!
After returning back to the UK after a…
After returning back to the UK after a week overseas, I began to feel really unwell Mid July 2024. I developed shortness of breath, excessive sweating, huge weight gain of 2.5 stone, exhaustion, vision problems, really bad joint pain, swelling of both feet, legs and ankles (triple the size), abnormal smelling stools, the urgency to have to fly to the toilet x3-5 times daily - absolutely piles of it (poo), blood in my urine, vertigo, painful pressure points in my head, burning sensation on my face, legs, ear lobes, itching deep inside both ears, a musky smell coming from my hair when I'd washed it, really bad muscle pain in my legs and weird sensations in my back. The months past by and I was getting no better. My heart began to pound. When that started, the dizziness exacerbated and so did the excessive sweating. I'd then be flying to the toilet. I went to to the GP several times. I kept telling them that something had got into my system but they refused to listen to anything I said. They just sat there keying everything into the computer. One GP at that surgery, used to say, make it quick I'm busy. She'd then have the stethoscope & would be tutting as she listened to my chest. I changed GP's to a nearer location to my home because it was cost £14 each way in a taxi. The GP Surgery where I registered are far worse than the previous GP. I was spoken to like a piece of dirt by one particular GP. He was literally bawling/shouting at me like a lunatic. He then tried the medical gaslighting & at one point, he invaded my personal space. He was trying to provoke me expecting me to lash out. Believe me, I wanted to strangle him with his stethoscope. It was so bad that I terminated the apt. His medical gaslighting technique was used to try & justify his disgusting behaviour too. He was a bully Also, he was adamant that he was going to prove a point that I was mentally ill. That simply wasn't the case as my symptoms were physical. Once these so called medics get a fixation in their head, they refuse to look beyond that. Everything is always anxiety, fibromyalgia, mental health, hormones. They then just send you on your way. A&E are no better either. I made several visits to the local hospital too. They kept fobbing me off with anxiety, mental health, fibromyalgia too. One particular so called medic at A&E actually asked if I drank a lot. He was inferring that I was under the influence of alcohol. I don't even drink. I was swaying all over the place due to the vertigo. He then said that he would be referring me to the MH team. I said to him, you'll be doing nothing of the kind, there is nothing the matter with my MH. I said to him, look at the state of my legs, feet, ankles. He just stood there and said varicose veins cause problems and then walked off. I left the building in disgust. No way are half of these so called medics as highly qualified as they lead the public to believe. This is what happens when the NHS hire overseas because it works out cheaper. I also had a terrible experience with the Paramedics too. I have never called an Ambulance in my entire life. The 2 paramedics that arrived at my home were also disgusting too. I asked them what the hell was wrong with me. One of them yelled "it's anxiety". I showed them my legs, feet/ankles & said no way is this anxiety. She then sat there tutting because the signal to her Ipad kept cutting out. She stood there and said to me, we can't detect anything, we'll give you a little ride down to A&E to see if they can detect anything. The tone she used was also disgusting. She was inferring that I was a time waster/attention seeker. Her colleague didn't speak at all. They didn't even help me down the stairs. They parked the ambulance as far away from the A&E entrance as possible and they just walked off. I was fobbed off by the Doctor on duty yet again. I paid to see a Private GP. We achieved so much in 30 mins. He agreed that something had got into my system. He referred me to a Tropical Infectious Disease guy. I sent him blood work that the private GP had done. He then wrote to my NHS GP instructing them to repeat the same blood work & to also do an ECG. The NHS GP did nothing. My face/eye (right side) also drooped (2024), it's now 2026 & my eyelids began to swell up. They went purple. Many times since mid July 2024 onwards, I felt like I was going to collapse. I found a clinic out of the area with cutting edge technology. The did a scan when I arrived at the clinic. My brain was black (full of toxins), the infection that I repeatedly told the NHS medics had gone to the blood brain barrier, my heart was about to pack in completely and the rest of my internal organs were about to shut down too. I knew I was dying. At the clinic I go to, they said to me it was a miracle that I was still alive. The medical gaslighting within the NHS, almost cost me my life. I'm getting better but it's going to take time
I gave birth at Leighton Hospital in…
I gave birth at Leighton Hospital in Crewe when I was 19 years old. I was completely alone and had been in labour for two days. I was exhausted, in pain, and frightened.
Throughout my stay I felt spoken to rudely and without compassion. Immediately after giving birth, I felt pressured to leave the delivery room before I had even had a moment to process what had happened or take a shower. It felt rushed and dismissive.
During the night, after two days with no sleep, I was struggling to stay awake and asked a midwife for help. Instead of support, I was told “this is just not acceptable, you need to look after her properly” because my baby’s nappy was slightly full. I was doing my absolute best under extremely difficult circumstances. The way I was spoken to and looked at made me feel ashamed and judged at one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. I have never forgotten it.
To make matters worse, my baby was sent home the following day despite having jaundice, and we had to be readmitted shortly after on the advice of a midwife.
This experience significantly impacted my memory of my first birth. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that young, vulnerable mothers receive the compassion and support they deserve.
Terrible services
I can’t believe how bad their system is. Clearly not working for actual patients, only works for people on benefit.

Go private or go abroad
NHS is littered with lazy, self entitled, incompetent, nasty, over paid, gold-plated pension halfwits. GP's, Admin staff, Consultants, Nurses - all seem to actively loathe any patient that has the massive misfortune to require their help. Let's stop the nonsense they are over worked. Try the private sector for hard work. Who in this day and age takes a TWO hour lunch break on an appointments booking phone system? This isn't 1951. Lies, obfuscation and treating you like you are a 2 year old. No help whatsoever for over whelming pain. If you don't like the human race then I suggest planting cabbages for a living and steer clear of having to deal with ill, frightened, pain-filled people.
Treatment is worst
Treatment is worst . Staff don't know how to behave with patient and bystanders.
Better to go and get quality treatment from india .
The worst of the very worst
The worst of the very worst. You seriously need to ask yourself if you are seeing that the NHS want you ill and clearly push you to get worse. I'd say avoid it and if you are very ill, try going abroad for honest assistance
Nicole Courteney and Mary do not see
Nicole, Courteney and Mary are terrible and want sacking they were prejudice towards me because they didn’t believe I was sick blood and have pneumonia despite being admitted to hospital on Christmas Day for the exact same reason. They were rude, two faced and bitter because they were at work and I was needing of help. They do not know how to interact with people and they do not know how to do their jobs properly. The ECG machine was not used properly the arm restraint was left slack. Furthermore Nicole had an attitude that came on after she stole some paper to write stuff down, I do not believe she gave me the right name she looks more like Morgan. Mary was horrible from the start and stank of alcohol, I believe she gave me a false name as well she reminds me of my mother Amanda Lockwood. Courteney was the only half decent one but got her back up once I started to admit I needed help. All three of them most likely have mental health issues that they desperately need to seek professional help with. Right now I will have to help myself with this pneumonia, I have the heating on yet I am cold, I have a sore tongue and throat which I will have to sip tea for and as for being sick blood I will have to consume more food which I do not have because the cost of living is extautionate. Yes the NHS is underfunded and workers get treated poorly but there is no need to go on like that. I work myself and still choose to treat people with kindness respect and love. Please seek professional help with your mental health ladies. Yes I called you all names because that was the lesser of two evils I really wanted to give youse a slap. Also who doesn’t like female dogs?

NHS Bournemouth… waste of money
NHS Bournemouth…
A phone call saying I will get a phone call!
A text saying same thing.
Then a letter.
No wonder they whinge about no money!!!
Badly treated at NHS hospital…
Badly treated at NHS hospital outpatient. Junior foreign doctor did not even check me out and decided everything was fine. Would not arrange appropriate test, because she was thinking about saving the cost.
Lied in her report to my GP, saying she had checked me all out. When I wrote to the secretary of the clinic, saying what has happened, nothing got done about it.
They are just covering up for NHS staff, whether they are on the right or wrong. They are trying to make patients look wrong.
Quite worrying what is happening in NHS, even in GP clinic.
