Whilst the car was ok & service was good I'm not impressed by the branch not answering the phone, I tried to ring over 10 times to let them know I was returning the car, needless to say from 10am - 5... See more

Vehicle not available
I made a booking nearly 9 months in advance to be phoned 2 days before pick up to be told that there was no vehicle fitting my booking available.
Fund given but told its in their terms and conditions, all pick ups are subject to availability so no requirement on their behalf to fulfill the reservation.

I would give 5⭐ but there is always room to improve.
That being said, after having a potentially serious issue of a burning smell coming from under the bonnet of the courtesy car Enterprise Poole had supplied me with whilst my Motability car (t boned by a drunk driver) is in for repairs, I cannot praise that branch's staff for their professionalism today.
In particular Josie needs a special mention for calming me down from a heightened state of anxiety, even going so far as reserving me an electric staff-only car should the RAC had been unable to attend or repair on time, as I had already rescheduled one medical appointment that was due this afternoon, but have 3 extremely important procedures early tomorrow morning, and needed a vehicle to get there and back and which I genuinely could not have afforded to miss.
Josie even texted me during the "waiting for the RAC" period to make sure I had calmed down & was well.
She went way above and beyond what most call centre staff would do, and I hope that her manager lets her know just how much I appreciate all she did for me today.
An appalling catalogue of failures from Enterprise
An appalling catalogue of failures from Enterprise.
Thirteen days ago I booked and paid £355 for a 7-seater car to enable an important family trip. Enterprise confirmed the booking multiple times, took my payment immediately, and even invited me to complete online check-in with my driving licence details, which I did and they again confirmed.
At 7.30 pm the evening before collection, I received a phone call telling me they had no 7-seater available. The only alternative offered was an Audi A3 – completely unsuitable for seven passengers. No equivalent vehicle was found, no meaningful remedy was offered, and I was told my money would be refunded “sometime next week”. The verbal apology offered paled into insignificance with the parting comment, “enjoy the rest of your evening”.
Thirteen days later, I still haven’t received my £355 back.
When I phoned yesterday to chase the refund, I was promised that the branch manager would call me back before the end of the day. That call never came. I called again today to be told the refund had been approved and was on a “fast-track” but that “it might take 7 – 10 working days”. Outrageous!
This has gone from a disappointing booking failure to a complete breakdown in customer service. Enterprise in in Breach of Contract. Enterprise took my money immediately, repeatedly confirmed a booking they could not honour, left us to make our own arrangements at the last minute, has still not returned my money, and has failed to keep even the simplest promise of a return phone call. No-one has attempted a formal apology or explanation, and I have had to chase time and again.
Our family weekend involved a 400 mile round trip with 4 adults, a 4-month old baby and two small children. It was immeasurably spoiled because we had to resort to two cars, travelling separately.
I cannot recommend Enterprise to anyone who expects a confirmed booking to mean anything or who values decent customer service. I will never attempt to use them again.

A big thank you to Harry & Will at the Enterprise, Worcester UK branch. I recently hired a car for 3 days and the guys were super helpful, polite, friendly and the car was a great drive. The online booking process with the pick up / drop off I highly recommend using their services.
Absolutely disgraceful experience
Absolutely disgraceful experience. I am currently being forced to fight a £600 fine for damage that I did not cause, despite the company itself acknowledging that I was not responsible.
Instead of resolving this matter fairly and removing the charge, I have been left chasing answers and repeatedly trying to get someone to actually listen. Being ignored while being expected to deal with a £600 charge for something I did not do is completely unacceptable.
This is not how customers should be treated. Instead, I have been left feeling dismissed, frustrated, and completely ignored.
Easy, smooth, and friendly service! 10/10!
On 2nd August, me and my gf rented a van from the Leeman Road branch in York, and were helped by a nice, young man called James.
Although we were first-time renters, James was extremely helpful and ensured the process was easy, quick, and smooth. As well as making the terms exceptionally clear, he was also able to get us the best cover policy, which both saved us money and made us feel relaxed and reassured.
Drop-off the following day was just as simple. We were assisted by a friendly woman (whose name we did not get), and the whole process barely took 5 minutes.
We were both very pleased with the entire customer experience, and will definitely come back to this branch the next time we need to rent a vehicle. 10/10!
Damaged my car by renting out a van…
Damaged my car by renting out a van with handbrake not working. Then fixed my car and rented me a car while mine was being fixed. Then hired me a car with a nail in the tyre which I reported now charging me 349.00 for a tyre. Worst company no response from manager in leighton buzzard worst customer service avoid at all costs.
Beware of their extortionate excess charges.....
Enterprise are an extortionate profit driven company completely focused on ambushing the customer at the point of collecting a vehicle for extra cash including insurance excess... I was told that unless I buy their insurance extras, I would be liable for an excess of £2250 for a flat tyre or a chipped windscreen... "What the hell!"... I would have rejected the van hire but then I would have lost my booking fee... Never would I ever use this company again....
No car available on collection despite reservation…
I made this reservation approximately four months in advance (21st March) for a family holiday to Scotland. We are a family of six people, therefore a 7-seater was an essential requirement and not simply a preference. Our entire holiday, accommodation, activities and travel arrangements were planned around the expectation that Enterprise would honour a booking that had been confirmed months earlier.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at the Southend-on-Sea branch to collect the vehicle and begin our journey at approximately 9:00 am, we were informed that no 7-seater was available because the previous customer had extended their rental.
I find this explanation wholly unacceptable. A confirmed reservation made four months in advance should not simply be disregarded because another customer decides to extend their hire. Enterprise accepted my booking and had a contractual obligation to provide the reserved vehicle or make suitable alternative arrangements well before my collection time.
One of the most frustrating aspects of this experience is that at no point before our scheduled collection time did Enterprise contact us to advise that our reserved vehicle was unavailable. We received no telephone call, no text message and no email informing us that there was a problem with our booking.
Instead, we drove all the way from Chelmsford to Southend-on-Sea, expecting to collect the vehicle we had booked months in advance, only to discover upon arrival that it was unavailable. Had Enterprise informed us beforehand, we could have made alternative arrangements and avoided wasting both valuable time and money.
What followed was an extremely stressful and frustrating experience.
The member of staff dealing with us at the Southend-on-Sea branch appeared more interested in moving us on than in genuinely resolving the problem. Whilst he apologised, his approach lacked empathy and urgency. He very casually informed us that our reserved 7-seater was unavailable, such things happen on a Monday morning is what we were told and he can’t do anything about it. And that the only vehicle he could offer was a 5-seater, despite it being obvious that we were travelling as a group of six. Offering a vehicle that could not legally or safely accommodate our family was not a realistic solution.
Rather than demonstrating any determination to rectify Enterprise’s mistake, he made what appeared to be a few casual telephone calls to nearby branches simply asking whether any vehicles were available. There was no sense of urgency, no proactive effort to locate a suitable vehicle and no indication that he appreciated the seriousness of our situation. We were simply left waiting while our holiday plans unravelled.
During this time we were told that our only alternatives were:
* to accept a completely unsuitable 5-seater vehicle;
* to travel to Stansted, where the only available vehicle would cost more than double the price of our confirmed booking; or
* to travel to London to collect a vehicle ourselves only of it was available
None of these options represented a reasonable solution to a problem entirely created by Enterprise.

Ipswich branch (Natalia) provided excellent customer service. My car was in the garage and Enterprise provided me with brand new Electric car at last minute.
Enterprise was picking me up after my…
Enterprise was picking me up after my van was involved in a road traffic accident they were meeting up with me at the bodyshop where my van was they turned up 90minutes late then he said he had to fill the van up with fuel which was a lie because the van had to be filled up by myself.
Also the van also had 7 bumps and scratches on it which I had to take photos of .
The van had never been cleaned inside or out .
The vehicles clutch was smelling as though it was on the way out they didn't mention about no recovery to me at all.
Saturday I rang up to speak to the manager to complain they said unfortunately he wasn't in so they promised me he would ring today Monday no one called. Also on Friday I run a building site with many men they all left because of Enterprise messing me about absolutely shocking company..
Enterprise cheating company
Hired a van online. Have used this company a number of times before without a credit card payment. They rang me up two days before I was due to hire the van and told me as I do not have a credit card I cannot hire it. However, I will have to wait up to ten days to get my money back.
What a useless cheating company. My advice never use Enterprise rental. They take your money then refuse your rental.
The UK authorities need to investigate this company. Trading Standards where are you!
Check the Vehicle & take a lot of Photographs
I am writing this for the benefit of others as there is a risk of paying additional costs for repairs (no fault of yours). Please check the car promptly, take photographs of the tyres (specifically) and if there are any minor marks or scratches, raise this immediately and get it recorded. I had hired a car from Bristol Cabot Circus outlet. The car had lot of minor scratches and the tyres looked over used. The inspection while commencing the hire was smooth, friendly and on a good faith I took the car. When I returned, the inspection was rigorous and fault oriented. Every single minor scratches were scrutinized and luckily, I had some photographs which helped me to prove that it was not caused by me. However, they found something on a tyre and insisted that unless I specifically show evidence that it was there before, they will charge my credit card for repairs (which they did). The often charge up front as the agreement gives permission to charge you without your consent. Please be mindful about the risks involved and you will be unnecessarily blamed for everything. Not a good experience at all.
I would give -5 if it was possible.
I would give -5 if it was possible.
Booked a car end of June, they gave me a poor substitute EV that discharged from 26% to 13% after 4 miles.
Now in and staff are telling me that's normal discharge and it's based on how I drive and maybe I'm breaking harshly.
Even worse, they rented the car to 9 other people after I mentioned they should get the vehicle checked , so put other people in a potential situation they could get stranded.
Refusing to give me my refund.
Waste of time from start to finish…
Waste of time from start to finish ordered a car online goes to pick it up,no car ended up driving a van home,as i needed to get home from Norwich, fuelled the van in Middlesbrough, then get an email saying I hadn’t fuelled it up and they’d take from my deposit, absolutely shocking never again.
Cancelled on me due to no vehicle on…
Cancelled on me due to no vehicle on the day by email with some nonsense story about the new vehicles they were expecting didn’t get dropped off blah blah - ruined my plans so will never go back - cheap company
Avoid at any cost
I hired the Van to deliver a large item however my experience wasn't great and end up not using the Van and just returned but obviously paid full rental.
An hour before collection received phone call from branch that Van I booked is not available and they only have bigger size which they will provide at no extra cost but upon collection I was charged another £15 for bigger Van which I not asked.
I was told everything is fine with AC it just takes some time to kick in however AC never came on and I end up cancelling the Job because Van also had tyre pressure and engine oil warning light on which I was told that just ignore but after issuing with AC I had no faith left in their word so didn't want to risk.
Normally I hire Vans from Swift or Europcars and never had any issues, 1st time I used Enterprise and it's definitely the last time.

If you want to be let down and lied to book with this group of clowns. The idiot in charge is South African. Rilind will pretend to take your complaint seriously but it is just a company distraction, they do not want you on site unhappy. But, unhappy you will be. Enterprise Bracknell have no interest in customer satisfaction. As long as you part with your hard earned they are all good. Be very aware if you have pre paid and had a confirmation of a booking. It means nothing with this lot. BIG company nil customer interest. Do not trust this lot. Trust me I have been asking for a reply for 2 months now for a huge act of decisiveness. I had to pay a lot of money for something from Enterprise that they did not deliver. Now they will not reply though the manager at Bracknell Rilind promised he would.
Avoid at all cost.
Enterprise East Midlands Airport …
We hired a car from the Enterprise East midlands Airport last week , I have done this several times now over the past few years, from the same company. The staff are friendly & very helpful , the car was great & the price was good too. The deposit was paid back within 2 days. Brilliant service.
Avoid
Avoid - poor car condition and worse customer service.
Hired through Enterprise as an insurance replacement. Car was delivered with tyre pressure warning lights already showing. Two weeks later I “mysteriously” got a flat, and Enterprise arranged recovery to a Kwikfit that was closed, I spent my Sunday waiting for it to open. Two days to fix a puncture, no compensation for lost days, and a £250 charge for the tyre.
Raised a formal complaint which has been completely ignored, every call results in promises of 'priority' treatment that never materialises.
Check your tyres before accepting any Enterprise vehicle, and if possible choose a different company altogether.
After a significant wait, the result of “we want to discuss this with you” is a short response stating that they aren’t liable.
So, do be aware, if anything goes wrong, they’ll charge you and they won’t reimburse if you don’t have access to the car. They also rely on you giving up and not going to the ombudsman. Don’t risk these guys.
