Terrible service

I bought an Asus laptop, and it arrived with the seal broken and the screen not working. When I requested an exchange, I was told that's not policy and that they would have to book a technician to examine the (brand new but faulty) laptop. But they couldn't tell me how long it would take, and when I called the support team they cut the call.

Evetech warranty in USELESS

I bought a Lenovo Legion 5 laptop from Evetech early 2023. A few months after owning it I started experiencing issues with the laptop. After taking it in for repairs was told that nothing is wrong. After arguing on the phone with the technician I received it back and all of a sudden was told that the drivers were out of date and it is in working condition. Exactly one week later I started experiencing the exact same issues. I was studying architecture at the time and could not afford to not have my laptop. Now jumping to 2024 I took it in again now suddenly my ram is rusted and it's due to spillage. There are no other damaged parts and they want to void my warranty and take no responsibility. Rust on ram can be caused by multiple factors including and not limited to factory defects and installation error. When I bought the laptop I also opted for upgrades that evetech install them selves which can also explain the damage to the ram due to neglectful installation of the ram that I paid extra for. The rust is also so old that it matches with the time that I took it in for the first repair so the spillage could be on their side aswell. It seems way to convenient that the problems that I am experiencing are the same as the last time I took it in and was told it is in working order but now it's caused by the one factor that voids my warranty. I am extremely unimpressed with this service and with the amount of money I paid. It seems that the technical team wants to take the easy way out and take no responsibility. I would not recommend evetech to my worst enemy.

Shocking service

Shocking service. Paid for a computer in full and got a response a week later stating that they were not able to source all the components on their quote - I needed to pay an additional R2,400. Then only the two components were sent and no computer. Evetech collected components and I won't get my R24K computer until 2 weeks after making payment as they need to wait for the components to be returned to them. No comprises - nothing! Just empty promises...

Selling items they do not have & refusing to refund money

Ordered and paid for a pricey headset - 2 days later was contacted to say they sold it to somebody else and have no stock but their websaite still shows in stock and available.

In addition they refuse to refund and only offer an "in store credit".

Not at all trustworthy Evetech is actively selling products they do not have and then refusing to refund money paid.

Yes, Evetech is a legit company

The only bad experience I've had with Evetech is the fact that the things I order get delivered slightly late. But I give them the benefit here because I live in Cape Town (They are based in Joburg as far as I know). But with regards to my products and after-sales support I hold this company in high regard, I personally have only had good experiences so far (besides the fact it's usually a little late) and I've ordered a PC and 2 Laptops over 6 years.

The Worst After Sales

I bought a motherboard roughly a year ago. The board since gave up. With it still being under warranty I figured it would be a simple RMA exchange, yet they have offered me a inferior motherboard as a replacement that also does not come with a box or IO shield either.

DO NOT BUY!

Some of the worst after sales I have ever experienced

Avoid Evetech

Avoid Evetech guys. Just after your money nowadays. Pay little extra and use someone else.

Built a PC through them, it’s been in 2 times already. First time, their upgrade kit that they advertised and sold me was INCOMPATIBLE. PC still crashed when I got it back with new RAM. This time, even after specifically asking them to make sure it’s working. After driving all the way to collect, come home to a blue screen.
Have made like 6 trips to them in the last few months. Unacceptable.

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service. I have a vertagear chair that had the backrest frame break after about 2 years. It has a 10 year warrantee on the frame. The only reason I went with Evetech and that chair.
I contacted support and they said they would get in touch with vertagear and contact me with an update.
After 6 months I have not once received an update without having to constantly follow up with Evetech.
The issue is still unresolved and I have no faith that it will ever get replaced.

If you expect to have any sort of help from customer service.... shop elsewhere!

Excellent support from Evetech - RMA

Had a PSU that malfunctioned after 4 years over a weekend. Since I bought from the Evetech online store during 2018, I was not sure if I still have a warranty but after checking the site, my PSU came with a 10 year warranty (Antec PSU). I made contact with Evetech via their online RMA procedure from their site during the following week and they sent me a quote the next business day for the collection of the faulty PSU, which I the paid within the next 2 days.

Having received the proof of payment for the collection via courier, they used Aramex couriers to collect the package containing the original packaging (box, cables and faulty PSU) within the next 2 days. Received another confirmation from them just before the weekend that they have received the device and were busy testing the unit and will let me know of their findings. After that weekend, they did get into contact with me and have included an in-store credit note to the amount that I originally paid for the PSU no new stock existed to replace the faulty PSU. They guided me again on how to submit the in-store credit note to one of their sales agents to generate a quote for a different PSU model for the difference of money from their credit note. They generated a final quote on a new PSU from my choosing and I paid the amount to their account after which they took about 3 days to deliver the new PSU to me which is now installed and working perfectly.

Excellent service that I received throughout this RMA process on a PSU with Evetech. It was my very first RMA using them and the whole process took little over two weeks to complete and I am quite happy and impressed with this company's after sales service and support. Keep up the good service!
