Have called on Evinox for service over a few years now, and have not been disappointed. The issues on a couple of times has either been a sensor which gave up after around 4 years and water pressure falling. Each occasion a fast efficient service along with helpful and friendly engineers.
Even though this isn't the correct place to post for Evinox Residential - everyone does - clearly for those who are frustrated with the company, it's the only place as there isn't one for the residential department. This company just keeps on giving - mainly headaches and confusion. If there are so many complaints on here re Evinox Residential you can see why they don't have their own page... but it would save them from having to repeat the same message over and over, in response.
The company refuses to provide hot water before the previous tenant pays the bills. This means if the previous tenant refuses to pay, it would be the next tenant who suffers. What kind of company has such a ridiculous policy?

Evinox has a highly professional operation right from the annual service administration system to the completion of the work by an experienced engineer who executed the work and explained any issues we had.
Awful experience so far. Me and my Flatmate share a 2 bedroom flat. We have noticed several anomalies in our charges in which the customer service team have shown no interest to help and just sent emails to our landlords threatening to turn off our service if we don’t pay instead of helping to solve our issue. For example in January we were charged £131 bare in mind both of us never use heating and are out of the flat for 12+ hours a day due to going to work then also we were both not in flat for 2 weeks that month each due to being on holiday. The last thing you want while living in your flat is the unnecessary distress of being told your hot water might be turned off while you have tried to reach out to the customer service.

Absolute scam, avoid at all costs. Poor customer service and so much more expensive than other companies. No matter how they try and sell it to you that it’s energy efficient or cheaper it is all a lie!

The best costumer service I have ever had, not to get into many details about my issue the company Evinox went out of their way 100% to make sure my grandmother had hot water and heating within the next days when she had a problem that was not even related with Evinox but it affected the payment machine at her property.
I was kept informed all the way about the steps that were being taken and the solution provided was not beneficial for Evinox in the business sense but they decided to place the client above the business needs.
Couldn’t be more grateful to Evinox and recommend their office staff, engineers expertise and the amazing humanity displayed.
£800.29 scammers, I don't understand how a bill for over £800 for 1 adult and 2 children for 3 months! Heat and hot water it says, although I never turn my heating on as my home is too warm even in winter! Absolutely gobsmacked and stuck with these scammers because of where I live. Absolutely disgraceful, no good just posting here, we should all gather evidence, report them, get them investigated and prosecuted!

I am severely disabled, I live on limited money, I can't afford to use the heating, I've gotten into arreas, and told them what I can afford. I had this women who spoke down to me rudely the whole time, she was sarcastic and did have any regards to my disabilities or my financial situation. I cannot walk, I find there systems confusing as I have servers brain fog. I offered to pay a certain amount from my arreas, but she was rude and said no you have to pay more. She then said sarcastically, you have used this money since 2023, you realise it's 2024 now? She purposely shamed me. I was so embarrassed for not paying as it was. This company is the most expensive in london, British gas would never treat its customers like this. I can't even switch as they have the contract to my block. However my neighbours are also complaining so hoping we can get rid of them & change them.

I continued to receive energy billings from Evinox billings department naming me (ex-tenant
) that I owe unpaid energy bills (communal energy). The property was Alexandra Wharf, multi-story residential apartment building. Evinox ignored the proof I have provided: email confirmation from Savills, final contract bills from Savills, and my explanation with reference to the ex-tenancy contract, all three sources that I am not the party owing the costs of communal heating (i.e. shared heating for common areaa), it should be the landlord I think, whose agent was Savills (ex-agent) at the time. Evinox billings continued to bill me, now states a date to pay up the landlord's bill. We felt victimised. For everyone's awareness, it is clearly stated in our ex-tenancy contract that we would be responsible for heating for 'personal consumption', confirmed by Savills. It is also stated in energy bills required by laws providing guidance that energy charges responsible is DEPENDENT on what is stated the tenancy contract. For info, by Savills' request, Evinox itemised the lumpsum bill into 2 items - communal charges, and personal consumption charges. I paid item 2. Now Evinox billing dept emailed me that I had paid towards part of the bill, balance remains. This is twisting the truth. It rings the bell of the Post Office saga, playing out at present to common people.

With reference to the response from Enivon Energy written on Trustpilot below, I understand this review and others under this heading are for Evinox Energy as a company with various divisions, and therefore should be appropriate. By the way, the Evinox response here was in fact, stated in Trustpilot as from Evinox Energy. It is unfortunate that the billing department is a let down from whatever standard of services from its engineering department. From consumers perspective, services and billings are as one.

My experience with Equinox Energy has been nothing short of frustrating. Over the past two years, the boiler has failed no less than 10 times, leaving me without hot water or heating on multiple occasions. Each breakdown disrupted my daily routine, with engineers taking an agonizing five hours or more to arrive and fix each time.
While I understand unforeseen technical issues can occur, the regularity and length of these outages, coupled with the slow response times, are unacceptable. Equinox Energy needs to invest in higher quality equipment and significantly improve their engineer callout responsiveness. Proactive maintenance options would also be appreciated to prevent these recurring issues and save everyone time and frustration.
In fact just take a look at trust pilot and google reviews; they are terrible! You just don't know when you're going to wake up and not have hot water or heating that is working.
Yipee (!)

It should be zero stars because this system overcharges us significantly. Completely unethical and I hope we get compensated. During the first month of pay as you go use, I was told my usage was £42 for the month of November. However the pay as you go payment took £50 between the 15th and the 29th of the month. Leaving me to need to top again despite my usage being much lower. This is completely ludacris and the company should not be in business. Shut it down and pay up!

Very disappointed tried getting hold of account manager to explain why me and all the other residents get charged so much even though it’s a pay as you go system but me and other residents are in debt no response to emails we send

Completly fraudulent company. I live at a development in Crayford for 10 years. For the first 8 years the system worked fine. For the last two years I have called them about tepid radiators on 3 occasions each time they have informed me it is fixed but after a month or two the heating system is running cold again. They are an unregulated company and I have no recourse to complain to write to an ombudsman.

Reply from Evinox UK LTD
This company are 100% fraudulent and taking full advantage of unregulated District Heating Networks. Essentially this means they can charge whatever they like, whenever they like, and there is no outside party that checks the metering systems installed in communal housing.
I reside at The Gessner buildling - new build, and despite the Pay As You Go top up platform - all of the tenants received a shock letter on 13th June 2023 backdated to 14th November with a bill of over £400 because they had apparently charged the wrong rate for heating 6 months prior? (see attached letter) It's a total con and Citizens Advice Bureau are currently dealing with hundreds of complaints and unable to help. It's worth speaking with a lawyer and creating a group with all of your neighbours as it's likely they will all have had the same experience.
I've recently had the same issue as many on here where despite paying £50 for hot water only (no heating) they keep shutting off the supply and asking for more!

Reply from Evinox UK LTD
So unhelpful! They always have remote connectivity related issue which ends up in me being overcharged, and today I just came back from holiday and I have no hot water or heating even though I have made payments towards my account, I was told that there is nothing they can do now and that I will have to wait till the 17th of October for an engineer to come over. I have my family (including nephews and nieces) coming to visit me and I’m not going to have hot water and heating for 1 week! This is ridiculous. Hot water is a basic human need, I’m still in shock and disappointed by the service. They really don’t care

Reply from Evinox UK LTD
They overcharged me with a wrongly estimated meter, I raised the issue since getting the bill. They kept telling me that they have sent it to the account manager but I get no resolution at all. It's been 4 months, and the issue still haven't solved yet!

We recently inherited an old Evinox boiler that needed replacing, the guys that came out did a great job, very pleased with the service received. The new boiler has reduced our heating bill considerably. Thank you Evinox.
