Experience Transylvania/Mihai Eminescu Trust is a fraudulent organization and a major letdown. We are a group of 5 families, 10 adults and 8 children, who, in February, booked and fully paid a 5 day Easter stay in Viscri. On 23rd March, long before their 2 weeks term, we requested a refund for this trip, due to Covid force majeure and lockdown. Sana Nicolau, Communication Manager, sent us an appeal begging to reschedule our vacation and accept a 20% voucher instead of the money. 2 families decided to still get the refund, while the other 3 explicitly decided to support the organization and accept the rescheduling/vouchers, with the condition to refund the rest. Only with the purpose to support them. We thought this was a legit, beautiful patrimony initiative. Sana Nicolau agreed happily, and promised to send money/vouchers asap. After which she disappeared for almost a month, with not a single email, message or call, which is what upsets us the most. Sana Nicolau never contacted us by herself, except to send the payment links in the beginning. The hypocrisy on these pages: they don’t care about you, the clients, just your money. During this time, we even received an automatic reminder to be in Viscri on the 16th, for Easter. On the 16th, with no sign from this organization, we had to contact and ask about money/vouchers. After two missed deadlines and no contact, Sana Nicolau sent the vouchers and specified the money will be sent “before the end of the month”. Then, again, Sana Nicolau et co. completely disappeared. Forced to contact again end of month, 30.04, we received an unbelievable letter from manager Cristian Radu, where he impertinently says he doesn’t have to send them, and unilaterally cancels the rescheduling/vouchers as well, telling us to “go someplace else in Transylvania”. Even today, when we are forced to file a legal court case, the money are not sent and they stopped responding. We want to warn that this appeal from Sana Nicolau/ Experience Transylvania/Mihai Eminescu Trust to leave your money there and reschedule, and the vouchers as well, is all a scam. So is their public declaration that they will return the money to those who prefer a refund, that you can find on this page. So are the vouchers/rescheduled trips. They continue to organize brunches and concerts with our money. Refer to Ordonanta 2/2018 if you have any doubt about their legal obligations to refund in full, in all cases.
