UPDATED

I used FastComet for domain and hosting, and experienced repeated incidents that affected live business operations.

- Legit traffic flagged as “DDoS”, reCAPTCHA/blocks enabled with no warning
- Limited control to whitelist/pause protections or prepare for planned spikes
- Poor visibility into triggers, slow responses during live events, and inconsistent L1 support
- One live event (~6,700 real users) was blocked mid-event; support replied after it ended

Outage: Web + email went down after a FastComet migration because DNS for my custom nameservers wasn’t transitioned quickly enough (later confirmed by Customer Advocacy). Service was restored, and they credited 2 months.

The good news
They say they’re improving by recommending and helping to integrate Cloudflare/WAF setups for event sites, flagging “service down” tickets directly to L3, and prioritising human review of automated blocks.

I’ve raised the score to reflect the clearer root cause and commitments, but I’d still be cautious for business-critical or event-driven workloads unless escalation proves reliable.

Hosting for portfolio of websites…

I had a small portfolio of websites with FastComet for four years. The technical support I received during this time was mostly great, with prompt responses and assistance with technical resolutions when required. I recently moved my hosting to another provider, mainly because my client needed more email storage (which FastComent could not accommodate without transferring to a VPS hosting). I would recommend FastComet for entry-level hosting because it provides excellent customer support.

I was so panicked about missing all that I made every effort.
However, he restored all the images on the front page.

Excellent customer service

Used to be a 5 star service. Probably now the worst host I’ve ever worked with with constant downtimes, unexplained account cancellations, and questionable business practice (no backup of our account could be found in can though we’ve active with them since 2016).

Getting worse yearly. Now having to make the switch

Misguided support, now unable to upgrade

I paid to upgrade my server and was assured that this can be done. There was a few days of back and forth after payment to get this server upgraded, which later turned out to be a server migration. At the end of it all, I was told that the migration is no longer possible.

I needed this sorted asap and they told me that it could be done, so I was able to hold off working until this was done, now I have to find suitable hosting.

Up until now, their support has been great, but this was beyond frustrating. They have refunded me, so I do appreciate that, but my worst experience with a server provider by far.

Update: I have received a response with an offer, but it's a very labour-intensive proposal on myself. If you're a new customer and quite experienced with server management, then you'll be fine with FastComet, but if you ever need to upgrade, I recommend being prepared to migrate elsewhere as the upgrade path has been a non-start for me and I can do this myself elsewhere, most likely for cheaper as well. I was happy to stay with FastComet for their support, but if they are telling me to do it myself a.k.a no support, then they're a bit pricey for what you get.
