I have had an account with First Direct since March 1992. I have seen them grow from 24hrs telephone banking ( great for shift working) to where they are today. Always available, always helpful, and provide products that are competitive. Not once have I missed there not being one single high street branch. Being available 24/7 was far sighted of them back in the day. I had a query about opening a new ISA and after a short telephone call I established that I can simply add to the existing ISA, doesn't need a new one each financial year. I know how long that would have taken to get from any other bank.

I have been a customer for at least 20 years and am disgusted how my feed keeps changing.I can no longer connect on my laptop and have called to sort the problem with no help at all.Fortunately,I can still connect on my I-Pad but it is highly inconvenient.
I am seriously thinking of moving to another bank,but would do so reluctantly if you cannot resolve my issue.

After having my phone die and getting a new handset I had trouble logging into the First Direct app, person I spoke to was so helpful got everything sorted quickly without fuss.

I've been with First Direct since 1995 and have always received the absolute best service whether its been regarding my cheque account or a savings account. They're the friendliest account handlers of any company, an absolute delight to speak to no matter what the subject.

Quick to answer and best of all being able to talk to a human straight away without having to go through loads of press 1 for this press 2 for that etc . The lady I spoke to was extremely polite and very helpful, I would not hesitate in recommending them.

I was having problems connecting to my online banking account and was put through to Ross in the technical department who was of great help. Although he was not able to correct the problem there and then he was quite confident the problem would be resolved. He took my details and assured me it would be fixed quite quickly. I don't know what he did but I tried to access my online banking a little later and the problem was corrected.

I have used a couple of different banks but First Direct are the very best. Have banked with them for over 30 years and have only ever had positive comments for them. Customers service is excellent and that is something you can’t say for many services nowadays. Thank you First Direct!

I was recently the victim of a scam. I had paid for goods via my FD Mastercard. Following correspondence with the company in question with no luck I contacted FD. Spoke to an advisor straight away without going through endless menus. I explained what had happened and was put in touch with the fraud dept. The advisor there was very helpful. We went though some questions and answers and she put my dispute forward to the investigation team.
Within a couple of hours she had deposited me a dispute payment of the amount I had lost. I had to keep this in my account until the investigations were resolved. Following the investigations I received my full refund from the company in question. I didn’t really think I had much chance of a result but I am so pleased I got in touch with FD. Now I am not £150 out of pocket thanks to the lovely helpful advisor and FD.
