FirstPort are a bunch of crooks.
They took over the grounds maintenance recently on our housing estate.
The first we new about this is when we recieved a letter dated the 23 Feb and did not arrive with ourselves until the 3 March. Invoice for £339.48 out of the blue with no prior warning. The bill to be paid within 20 days. payment due 23 March.
You would think FirstPort would give you more notice of such a large upcoming bill.
I paid £200, 26 March, leaving £139.48 to pay.
I then received another letter dated the 16 April that arrived on the 22 march, invoiced for £174.48 to be paid within 5 days and threatening to send the bailiffs if payment not received. £35 added on top of the original invoice for late payment.
Considering it took 7 days for the letter to arrive i find this disgraceful behaviour from FirstPort.
I would recommend you should give your customers a lot more notice in future to allow people to budget for such an extortionate bill, especially as a new customer and considering royal mail now take so long to deliver the mail these days.
The fees for the grounds maintenance is extortionate in the first place and certinaly does reflect good value for money, with virtually the same amount being charged for admin as acual grounds maintenance and all FirstPort do is sub the work out to contractor's.
FirstPort should be ashamed of yourselves for such poor conduct.

A 'big thank you' to the on-site manager (Sam Aziz) and the regional manager (Donna Saunders) who have helped my wife and I settle in over the last nine months at this large residential block (90 flats) for the Over 55s where we purchased a ground floor property. The block is exceptionally well run, and the problems that are inevitably encountered with such a large block have always been resolved with great solutions, great style and great results. The management make this FirstPort property an excellent place to live at a fair cost.

Elita, is on hand to give help and advice to us residents. We've had a few new residents recently, so she has been very busy helping them settle in.
If you have a query she is here to help!! with a warm smile and engaging personality.

Good communication to all residents. Transparent and sensible approach to management fees. You feel very reassured that the property is well managed. Lynn the property manager is always available and very friendly and helpful and goes above and beyond for everyone living in Kings Hall.

Genuinely the most incompetent bunch of people I have ever dealt with. No idea what they're doing. No idea who is in charge of what. No control over contractors meant to be carrying out the work and somehow think they are owed money. Trying to sell my house and shock horror...no response. With any luck they're all 6ft under and we can all get rid of the cancer that is FirstPort
I would like to send this appraisal regarding Sarah Cox, the Manager of Grizedale Court. I really don't know how I would have managed for the whole of 2025, whilst undergoing cancer treatment, without Sarahs help and kindness. It was always without hesitation and I will never ever forget.

Excellent as usual! This is a large development directly facing the sea with the extra headaches for the building that the winter weather brings. But Rita with her years of experience runs a very tight ship and both she and the beautiful location make Palm Court a very pleasant place to live.

Appalling service from Block Manager to Area Manager to Head Office. All I want is a key to get into my garage space and 6 weeks later I'm still waiting

Sent debt to collection agency with no prior warning. Automatically added various made up add-on charges totalling £840 on a £420 debt.
Avoid these rip-off clowns like the plague.
Response to FirstPort: no reminders were sent at all and no communication about ot being sent to a debt collection agency.
Crooks.

Paid a disputed 2023 service charge in 2026 under protest, after management escalated matters following our RTM efforts, and despite this, they had already suspended concierge and gym services before the payment deadline. They also lost a court case against residents and then attempted to pass the legal costs onto us.
This sets the tone for the overall experience with them for over 8 years.
Despite always paying on time, the standard of management has been consistently poor. I experienced sewage leaks in my flat due to neglected communal pipe maintenance, requiring emergency action on my part. There have also been repeated failures of the water heating system, and communal areas were often left in an unacceptable condition.
Communication is another major issue: queries are frequently ignored or poorly handled, leaving residents without clear answers or resolution.
Even shared facilities have been neglected. The communal gym has repeatedly been left in disrepair, yet access to it was still suspended prematurely.
Overall, with them we had a highly frustrating experience defined by poor maintenance, weak communication, and a lack of accountability.

can never get hold of them. Don't take accountability. When you finally do get hold of them very little happens in terms of action.

This terrible company charge £450 for a very basic information pack when you are selling your property - most likely 30 minutes work for a junior staff member. This is an example of why leasehold properties in general and corporate management companies in particular are so widely scorned. I will never buy another property where FirstPort are involved as this is legalised thievery.
Update - I see FP have responded. Alas the response is a lot of waffle that is typical of their approach to customers.

We inherited Firstport as a management company when we bought our house. They are slow, unresponsive and expensive, thats if they bother to turn up. Now, to add insult to injury, I have to pay a fee £500 to get the pack from them before I can sell.
Beware and put aside the fee so you don't get caught out!

At Sandbanks I feel we are very lucky in having such a dedicated Development Manager .
He is always very helpful with any problems or queries whether small or large with kindness and appropriate advise but always with a smile and we can always have a laugh if needs be.We are always kept updated with relevant info we need to know and everything is run so smoothly so thank you for making it a pleasure for me to be living here.

The most abhorrent, dishonest, incompetent company i have ever dealt with, My block initiated an RTM successfully to have them removed after they kept increasing service charge costs for services they weren't carrying out, fraudulently charging us for window cleaning that hadn't happened in 4 years and they also hadn't paid EON for 2 years for the Communal Area.
Accounts have been in dispute for nearly 4 years to which i have sent numerous emails requesting breakdown and detail and i have NEVER had a response, they appear every couple of months with an administration charge and threats of passing the account to recovery agents claiming that they never received our emails. Shameless Liars.
I'm actually looking to move out of my flat now solely because of this disgusting company.

We have the perfect manager for the job. She goes above & beyond to keep these flats up to standard and to accommodate all residents differing queries and problems.
Lousia's an absolute treasure.
